I went for the Botanique menu, composed of a soup of the day (tomato-paprika) and one half bowl (the fall salad with vegan tuna). They also offer a lot of sides and desserts. It was so tasty that I came back a second time during my stay to try their Tajine bowl. Place is also very cosy and staff very friendly. I fully recommend.

It's in an old apothecary and fits this theme well with colourful, dried goods in old jars and the staff wearing white lab coats. It's not the most cosy place but very enjoyable to sit and relax for some time. The music was great too and they offer free WiFi. The food is served quickly as it is already made and kept warm in pots at the counter. I ordered the Chili Sin Carne and it was packed with protein. It was so filling and warming. Unfortunately it lacked any spice which I was expecting with a chili but I would definitely order it again. It was still delicious. I also ordered the seaweed tartare and turmeric hummus with crackers. I wouldn't order the seaweed tartare again even though I love seaweed as it tasted odd and I didn't like it. The hummus and crackers were good. My organic Belgian beer (Brunehaut Blonde Bio) was also very tasty. The staff working there made the whole experience so enjoyable. They were so friendly and welcoming and all spoke perfect English. It's dog-friendly too which is a big bonus! Would definitely recommend a visit. Thank you Le Botaniste. I will visit again on my next trip to Gent ☺️

It's a nice little place with pretty good food. We didn't have anything special, but it's a good place for a healthy and relatively quick bite. Service wasn't great as you always have to go to the 'bar' where often is a line, and there was confusion about our order (which we couldn't double check as we didn't get a receipt). People were very friendly though, so it was no problem, but it felt like it was quite chaotic for the employees and took a while before we actually could eat (by the time it was solved our food was almost cold). All in all a nice place with good potential, but don't expect a restaurant where you'll have a relaxed night. It's getting the food, eat & go (which suited our night pretty well).
