It was in between these cozy walls that i found hope & trust in life again. After a lovely pint of the creamiest Guinness & the most perfect (full) chicken wings I’ve ever had i looked up to one of the friendly waiters, he looked at me, smiled & said to me: “It will all be alright lad” Patrick Foley’s will forever have a special place in my heart. What an amazing place, the food and drink package for New Years eve worked really well, everything already paid for up front, the wine, beer and spirits flowed freely, we had a good night! The menu varied with burgers, meat and vegan pies, chicken bowls e.t.c. Good variety but small so that every choice is a good one. Yummy desserts and great selection of beers of course! And, the icing on the cake for us was that in the downstairs tv area, the tv was tuned into an American football league. In Belgium, once again, go figure. This is a must do restaurant when you're in Ghent and I will return.

Mein Kumpel hatte das "Guinnes Stoverij", ist ähnlich wie Gulasch, hatten wir uns aber besser vorgestellt. This place was incredible. I had the vegan pie that was sweet potato and spinach curry with curry chips and salad. Huge serving, took the leftovers home! Each time I visit I struggle to decide on trying something new, only to revert back to their stoverij. I keep comparing every other version to this one to only come to the conclusion that Foley's stoverij is the best one. Their new addition if dirty fries however are also epic. If you are looking for comfort in a meal, this is the place to go.
