Great views and nice vibe. Waiter was extremely friendly and really made us feel welcome. We did have to wait a while, as they only opened at 11:00. They were fully booked, but made an exception for us a the majority of the tables were only coming at 13:00. My husband and I shared the spinach and feta pizza and we added extra bacon. It was delicious. I had a cafe latte and my husband had the CBC light lager. Our bill was R200, tip included. Will definitely visit again.

Amazing food always! Amazing helpful staff! And food is always ready quickly. Great view and great restaurant. Good pizza options and good Gin options. A must for the family. There is a play area for the kids just next to the restaurant in eye sight. This restaurant will not disappoint.

Awesome vibe and even more amazing views! We were a group of 10 friends and the service was very good. Our order included escargot, carpaccio, pizzas and eisbein to name only a few of the dishes and everything was absolutely delicious. The cocktails are beautifully presented but I have to say that the ciders stole the show! The Rekorderlig strawberry lime and Loxtonia ciders were so refreshing on the hot day we visited. The guys were a tiny bit disappointed that their beer arrived warm though but the waitress made up for it with the second round. The kids play area is nicely shaded and in full view of the outside seating area.

An amazing place to have lunch, most of the restaurant is situated outside under the trees at the spice route. The food is great and the atmosphere is exciting. There service is great, but if you are more than 10 I suggest you book a table.

Whilst the company you keep accounts for much of a great evening, the La Grapperia team have been great hosts to add on to the joyful experience encountered amongst the pictures views which in many cases felt unparalleled at times. Great food, thanks guys and girls

We loved this place. We had the Fynbos gin on tap, which was delicious and pizza. Pizzas are wood fired and thin based and really tasty. The side salad that I ordered with my pizza was also very fresh and delicious. We had ice-cream for dessert, but I wouldn't recommend that. They say it's homemade icecream, but it tasted like standard shop bought ice-cream. A bonus at this restaurant are the beautiful views. The perfect spot for sundowners. The service was also very efficient and good.

Excellent service from a very nice young lady. She was professional and knew what she was talking about. We had the Gin and jam tasting which was very good. Most interesting pairing of making a mini Gin and Tonic with a dash of jam in it as garnishing. Will most definitely recommend this establishment. They serve excellent pizza too.

Breathtaking views and we enjoyed a lovely sunset. Loved their pizzas and Eisbein. Just at some times felt like some clients got preference over our table as we were forgotten about a few times and some requests were not attended too but the waiter was switched later to a gentleman who gave excellent service.

Lovely, shaded dining area under old trees. Great view. Pizzas had lovely flavour- but it isn't actually pizzas - it's flammkuchen bases dressed up as pizzas. Now I like flammkuchen, but I think they should just own up to this. The off-putting aspect to this dining experience, was the service. She started clearing our table while we were still eating, and proceeded to clear (and wipe down!) our table whilst we were still sitting there. It was a slow day, so not sure why she decided that was a good idea. I really wish restaurants would train their staff correctly. We drove elsewhere for ice cream because of this, I had promised the kids dessert...

Great location, views and amazing service. The food was good but the portions were small which we felt wasn't worth the price. I had a deep fried camembert, antipasti platter and cheesecake for dessert as well as a hot chocolate. My husband ordered the traditional which I also had a bite of but didn't like it at all. He didn't like it either. The onions were too overpowering. The service and seating was amazing. Sasha was our server and we just want to thank her for being such a wonderful server and for making us feel so comfortable.

First time here wow stunningly breathtaking views.Myself and hubby shared the french vegetarian pizza,Seafood pizza and the Salami pizza.I had a Banana milkshake made with real bananas super yummy and Had the ceylon tea wow they gave me a teapot I had 4 cups of tea and couldn't finish the rest.Food was good and staff were so amazing as well super cozy spot loved the setup.Bringing the fam back to this gem of a spot

We really always enjoy our time here. They have a big Tent now... that's new from our last visit. So when we got there and it was raining... we were really happy to have somewhere dry to sit... but still felt outdoorsy. Service and food was great. Kids menu is a bit limited- only 3 items on it. They are a pizzeria and they don't have a kids pizza size. So that was weird for me. Love that they serve their own produce (beers/gin from their own distillery etc...) As well as supporting the local surrounding farms goods, like the Fairview cheese platter.

The service is fine as long as you can get someone's attention. The pizza comes gluten-free by request. Possibly the best in the Capetown area.

We had starters and pizza, even though the place was full our food didn't take that long and cannot faulty the service at all. My only fault would he that they don't have the biggest pizzas, but there decent amount of toppings for its size. You definitely need to book if its a nice day they do tend to fill up very quickly

We had such a lovely relaxed Sunday lunch on the deck at La Grapperia. The pizza's were tasty and the waffles soft and delicious. Ended up at the beach bar section which was the perfect place to enjoy yet another glass of wine before heading home.

I am a big fan of the La Grapperia in Simondium and I am happy to say that the La Grapperia @ Spice Route keeps to the high standards set. During the summer months you get to sit under beautiful trees, and in winter they enclose the area with a tent and set out several oil heaters to keep you nice and warm. We visited for a birthday, and were quite a large group, however the staff handled it well. Our hosts decided to order a couple of different pizzas and everything I tried was very tasty. On the drinks menu they have Spice Route wines and CBC beers available, as well as some cocktails. I tried one of their speciality cocktails - it came in a slushy form and a beautiful glass - which I really enjoyed and can recommend you try. To put the cherry on-top, you have amazing views of the valley below and there is a big kids play area within view, so you and the kids are guaranteed a fun experience.

Stunning venue, amazing view. Food was okayish nothing out of this world. Ladies working there very friendly but a tad slow even though the place was at 20% capacity we ended up walking to the front for our bill eventually as the ladies all seemed very busy with other things. Would go again though and try a pizza this time ☺️

Magnificent view. Comfortable warm specialy close today the fire on a cold winter's day. Even at the big tent there are heaters. Pizza, bacon and banana pizza, tasted good would like a bit more topping added.

Ordered 2x flammenkuchen, they were average and lacked any flavour. Craft in Stellies makes much nicer. Pina Colada mock-tails at R65 a pop were a complete rip off! I’m shocked at this being restauranteurs ourselves. How can you charge the price of an alcoholic beverage with no alcohol. Needless to say, we are locals and will not support again. It’s a shame as the food does not match the view

Very quaint family setting with lots of trees to eat lunch under. Jungle gym for the children. Would be lovely for a small wedding. There is a good selection of craft beer and a gin tasting room. Food is good quality. The waiters are knowledgeable about their alcohol products and how they are made.
