Absolutely incredible! Highly recommend doing both the botanical and the tropical gardens. The price to enter is extremely cheap and the gardens are well maintained. We look forward to returning again.

Entrance fee is 5000 COP. I went on Sunday and it was not crowded. It can be visited within 1-2 hours.

This botanical garden was very beautiful and breathtaking. Everything was so well maintained, and it had plants from different regions of Colombia. The water features were calming, and I just sat there enjoying it all. The roses were bigger than my fist and there is a cafe for refreshments and snacks. My coffee was amazing. If you love plants, do not miss this one if you are ever in Bogotá, Colombia.

The visit was good. There are two different options to buy the ticket. Only the visit in the park, or the visit in the park and in the Tropicario. The experience in the Tropicario was pretty good. I believe every hour there is a guide which conducts a guided tour there. It’s better because they explain everything and they are nice.

Great space to wander for a few hours (plan for at least 2). Closes earlier than we expected, staff recommended to visit the building areas first as they do close on time but the park around you can continue to walk around for a while. Lots of construction so it would be exciting to see what new areas they will have shortly!

Beautiful botanical gardens with 4 indoor conservatories. Plan to spend around 2 hours exploring the gardens and reading through the biome information in the conservatory center. I will note that much of the gardens were under construction, so we didn’t see as much as we’d like. Also, while most trees have name plaques, none of the flowers outside of the conservatories have any. We would have liked to know more information about those plants.

The entrance fee for foreigners was 7000 Colombian pesos for general entry. The place was very beautiful and the collection of flowers and plants they had was very impressive.

I loved visiting this place. It's been constantly mantained and all the plants love it. Also it shows the diversity of Colombia ecosystems inside the different Pavillions. One can relax and spend a couple of hours without getting bored.

Beautiful Botanical Gardens in Bogota, Colombia. Stunning flowers, plants, trees, information all inside an climate controlled atmosphere with breathtaking views both from below and above. So much to see that you'll want to start very early. There is a small cafe for lunch which is perfect. So much architectural and fascinating views on superb landscapes decorated with wildlife information. A must-see if you are in this amazing country.

Beautifully laid out and maintained gardens. The special exhibition in the greenhouse is worth the extra pesos - featuring the various climates and regions of Colombia.

Absolutely loved my time here!! Really beautiful Botanical Gardens, with a huge variety of plants and environments. Give yourself several hours to explore, if you can.

They did a super job decorating the gardens for the Christmas season with beautiful lights and informative visuals that can be appreciated during the day, but it's at night when the neon and other lighting really pop. Not understanding Spanish well, I was still about to learn quite a bit just from the visuals, then could use Google Translate to understand scene recordings for the rest. Will definitely visit again.

We had a really nice day out here. The grounds are large and very tranquil. The greenhouses and plants were beautiful. There is a fun cafe where you can get a sandwich and a coffee. There was also a strip of market stalls when we went. The queues can be long so I recommend booking in advance.

My wife and I came here and we were surprised by its size. We bought the full access tickets and we did not have enough time to get through the entire botanical garden but next time we will come prepared. The tropical section was a little hot for my wife since people from Bogotá aren’t used to warmer climates but luckily we both were wearing hydration packs and she had cold juice to easily hydrate herself. My favorite part has to be the rose garden with spacious areas for families and couples to sit in the grass and benches or walk around and enjoy themselves

Good botanical garden, but I was expecting that it would be bigger, especially if you will take in consideration how big Bogota is For foreigners the price is 7k, if you want to visit tropicario - total price will be 25k

Free for foreigners over 60. Around 2.5USD per person. Beautiful place for laying in the ground and seeing the plants. You can go through 3 or 4 different weathers into the same place named Tropicario. If you want to see flowers and enjoy our tropical nature you do not need to go outside the city, stay here and go to Jardín Botánico.

We visited this garden between a long transit time at the airport. It's absolutely beautifull and well maintained. The greenhouses were the highlight of the tour and absolutely worth it!

Loved this place!!! B-E-A-utiful!!! Had a really good time walking around talking all of the scenery in. The only thing that would make this place better is if they had a couple of beer carts. Okay, a few.

We spent a good 4 1/2 hours in this beautiful Botanical Garden. The variety of plants from many different biomes is mind-boggling. There is also a nice little place where you can eat outside. We got great coffee there. Don't miss this beautiful oasis in busy Bogotá!

It is a pretty place where you can learn many things about the botanic. I highly recommend the apothecary, because you will learn about the ecosystem of different zones in our country.

Peaceful park, though there was a lot of construction happening. Seemed to be more a collection of plants than a curated garden. The concept of the Tropicario was interesting and did a nice job of recreating the different environments.

Place is ok. Better for kids, as there are lots of “funny” looking animal figures. Lots of construction going on. Green house has nice architecture. But no real jungle feeling as there should be way more plants.

  • 5/5 Jairo A. 6 months ago on Google
Totally worth it. Got to see a bunch of wild hummingbirds!! The domes were good. Needs more signs on plants and trees. Went late afternoon, was quiet enough to enjoy all species. They also have a cute veggie patch. It sucks to pay more if you're a foreigner. Outdated practice. Anyway, highly recommended.

A great place for green : plants, flowers. Don’t miss the greenhouses : extra to be paid but you won’t be disappointed

  • 5/5 Edith M. 5 years ago on Google
This is a great place to spend some quiet time admiring nature. The gardens are beautiful and well taken care. The entry is not expensive. Beautiful place to take pictures !

  • 3/5 Ben Cresswell R. 2 years ago on Google
It is in its infancy so many of the displays need some time to grow and take over. It is small but plenty of different paths to take. The free tour of the tropical greenhouses (in Spanish and sign language) was interesting to better understand the flora of Colombia. Will definitely go back in a few years

  • 4/5 Paola P. 2 years ago on Google
This garden is very pretty, the mini garden for roses, if you close your eyes has the most lovable smell. In general it's a quite and calming experience one your are in, because when they have this lights shows the parking and lines to enter it's a complete nightmare. They should try to partner with someone around, because os really messy and discouraging.

Lovely gardens, great experience. Great for a date, a picnic or being a tourist with family or friends. Colombia is the 2nd most biodiverse country in the world and here you can really understand why!

I wasn’t too impressed with the variety of flora or plants, but if you’re just looking for a stroll, this is a nice place to do that. There is a really cool coffee shop within the grounds.

It was nice but there was a lot of construction and I'm not a big fan of all the artificial decorations. I was hoping for just a little bit more from the greenhouses.

  • 5/5 Corina C. 2 years ago on Google
A great afternoon activity for a family, the garden has signs detailing the surrounding plants. The greenhouse costs extra but is a must!

  • 5/5 Greg M. 2 years ago on Google

The botanic gardens are such a lovely place to go with family or your significant other. Since I was a kid I come to this special place. Everytime they have a new thing to show! Cons: The restaurant mediocre and that's a kind way to put it.

I visited Bogotá's botanical garden with low expectations. I'd recently visited the botanical gardens in Medellin and thought that this couldn't possibly compare to that... and I was right to a degree. In Bogotá, the gardens don't look very natural. They look like the gardens in a rich person's mansion. Having said that, there are still many wonderful plants, yes and flowers here. I was pleasantly surprised. There's also a wonderful set of climate-controlled tropical houses, that hold some pretty spectacular plants. For tourists, it costs 5,000 pesos to enter and an additional 10,000 pesos to enter the tropical houses. I'd say that it's worth paying the extra, as it's not much and there are some very unusual and rare plants in there. One warning though... protect your camera lens in there... there are lots of places where water is sprayed onto the plants and it gets everywhere.
