I have stayed at a lot of places in Monterey, but this places is on my top 3. Best western is a huge company but sometimes lack quality. This place has all that and better. I stayed in a horrible motel and called here same day and they got me a room. To make things better, the man at the desk actually talks with customers about their day and what brings them here. I don’t leave reviews but this place has been superb. Beds are so comfortable I don’t even want to go out because of them. Couch has a bed of the wife gets upset with you too! Haha but overall this place is really a 10/5 but it’s definitely worth the money, and parking is so simple. In a quiet part of town too.

This Best Western is located just a few miles from the aquarium, shops, restaurants, etc. It is quite and cozy. I like that our room had a door to separate the two beds. This room had a small kitchenette, balcony, and was spacious. It comes with free continental breakfast which had breakfast sandwiches, waffles, yogurt, fruit, cereal and a few other items.

We were on a road trip down the coast and stayed at two other best westerns so I wasn't expecting much, but this Best Western was definitely the nicest we've ever been to. It's located in a quiet residential neighborhood and is townhouse style. There are garages underneath the rooms where you can park your car for free. It felt very safe, however it will be tight if you have a big truck. There is also some uncovered parking available. The staff at the front desk were very polite and professional, we got a family suite and it was nice to have the extra space. The bathroom was a little dated but the room was very clean. It came with a microwave, mini fridge, and extra sink. We also got a balcony. The updated rooms in the pictures on google is not the room we received but it was still nice accommodations. If you're not familiar with Monterey, Pacific Grove is a great spot to stay. It's close to everything but not in a busy area.

We stayed here for five days. They advertised continental breakfast. They had make your own waffles, cereal and store bought microwave English muffins with egg and sausage. They were out of orange juice the entire time we were there. This property looked like it used to be apartments that were turned into a hotel. Rooms only accessible by stairs. Staff was not friendly. Zero smiles. Definitely didn’t feel welcome. As far as rooms go, they were clean but outdated. They had balconies. But the seating felt as though it would break. So you couldn’t sit out on it. Parking wasn’t the best. They had little garages beside each set of rooms but were told they were first come first served they didn’t go by rooms which seemed weird to us. Because of the unfriendly staff. We won’t be back. And we loved the area. And will be back for the views. Definitely don’t stay here.

Very pleased with the two night stay here...we upgraded to a suite (Room 101) which is more like a full apartment ( vaulted ceilings, kitchen, two decks, fireplace). Carpet is outdated but overall amenities are nice, premises are well-kept and clean, safe parking. Location is ideal to local attractions. Friendly staff. Breakfast was general (bagel, waffle, coffee, juice, apples etc.) Would go back again

In fairness if this room had been the ADA room we had booked, due to my sister who is disabled, and the requested cleaning service after first night was provided as we were told it would be but was not and lastly, though minor but still additional annoyances, things in room had worked i.e. phones and outlet where coffee pot was and the hotel would have done a little better with a compensation of discount such as 20%, we would have given them a better star rating or 3 or 4 and would have considered a possible future stay. But definite not staying at that Best Western again…not sure about any Best Western right now.

Check in was fast and the staff was very friendly. Upon entering the room at 4pm it was 80 degrees inside. The rooms do not have any AC. Staff said to turn the ceiling fans and open the windows. I wish this was noted before booking. Also the floors are very dirty and when showering the water pressure is really bad. Will not stay here again.

Great value. It is not fancy but very functional and clean. For the price we pay and location, it is a great deal. We got the family room which has two separate bedrooms. Rooms are very clean. Neighbors are quite. Breakfast is free and good. Please note no laundry on site.

We heard everything through the walls in our bottom floor room. This might have been the worst wall-sound experience we’ve had at Best Western. We even heard the plumbing when the person upstairs & next to us filled the bathtub or started the shower. It was loud. When in our bathroom, I could hear the neighbor's conversation, word-for-word. The person upstairs was getting in his steps for the day starting at 10:30 PM, which went on for 45 minutes. After a short break, he started another 20-minutes more of continuous walking. Again, the thin walls didn’t help this situation. We didn’t understand why the small refrigerator buzzed & vibrated so much & so loud. That’s because a rock was holding up the shelf that the microwave was on (see picture). We tried to remove the rock and the shelf collapsed. The front desk wasn’t rude, but I wasn’t acknowledged when I arrived. I had to state that I had a reservation before he started saying/doing anything. Just not very personable at all. A few positives about the place. Being that it’s located in a quiet residential area, there’s zero traffic noise at night. The bed was comfortable (although the cover/fitted sheet was too short and would untuck and then bunch up during the night). Since the hotel can’t fix the thin wall situation, which is a no-go for us, they need to replace the broken fridge/microwave stand. They need to get a bigger cover sheet. They need to find front desk individuals who are willing to welcome people who are spending their money to stay at the hotel, which in turn, gives them a paycheck. We won’t be back since there are many other hotels to choose from in the area.

This place is a converted condominium complex, it is located in a deeply wooded neighborhood that is NOT within walking distance from coffee shop, grocery store, etc... It does NOT have elevators or air conditioning. There are 3 floors. If you have knee or back problems this is not the place for you. There are deer everywhere, so be careful driving.

Our room was 82 degrees throughout the stay and they do not have air conditioning. Staff was very rude and told me to call expedia for any issues. Expedia gave us a refund for 1 night because of the issue but the hotel ended up kicking us out a day early because they apparently double booked the room thinking we wanted to leave early since they refunded us for 1 days (we never told them we wanted to leave early and Expedia confirmed this). They were supposed to help us find another hotel nearby that could take us in but they never called me back and we were forced to end our vacation a day early since we had no where to stay. Then on the last day, we went to get breakfast at 930, then when I came back to my room at 10 there were cleaners in there who took my babies milk out of the fridge, had it in a garbage bag and had moved our other stuff near the front door. Checkout was at 11 but I ended up having to leave the room at 10 since the cleaner continued cleaning even after I sat down to feed my daughter. I had a do not disturb sign on the door, there should have been no cleaner in our room until 11. Overall, horrible experience.

A great location - very quiet nights, within walking distance of great restaurants, beautiful beaches and gift shopping. Spacious rooms - we had a two bedroom with balcony. Very clean, good value.

I love the privacy - and you can get a full suite with 2 bedrooms, with doors on the rooms for privacy - when traveling with your kids. And the balcony is a great way to start your morning.
