Beautiful scenic place but quite crowded. First you queue up to buy entry tickets and from there it’s a short walk and a few flights of stairs to reach the lake view. There’s an option to take a bus ride up to the view point but you’ll face a waiting queue for that. The place has a zip-line too which attracts quite some crowd as well. For me, I loved seeing the green cover against the bright blue sky. I expected more water in the lake, but what I saw was quite beautiful as well.

The entire place has a peaceful vibe. It is best suitable for having leisure time with your family and friends. People come there usually in the mornings and evenings for walks. The scenery of the place is outstanding with a wide view of the water bodies in the dam and small shops in and around the place for your small cup of tea and snacks. A toilet facility is also available at the place. Walking further, there are various activities in which you can take part with your family and friends. There is a zipline which I think is a bit expensive for what it offers. The must-try and never miss part is the speed boating experience! Though it's a bit overpriced, it's definitely worth a ride. The operator of the speed boat allowed us to experience how drifting in a speed boat would feel like. It was an unforgettable experience. The ride was fabulous because the distance covered is absolutely worth the price paid. There is an ample amount of place to take a walk and experience the greenery in and around the place. There us even a walkway specially made for it. Some if the photos are attached below.

Sitting here watching the water is a great experience. A nice cool wind is always there to welcome us. ₹40 per person and ₹15 for one side van service and ₹25 for two side van service. Boating is also available there. There’s a little walk to the dam and it’s an amazing experience. There is a lot of other activities like zip line, bumper cars etc.

Amazing place. Great view from the dam. KSEB has done a good job in keeping the place clean and beautiful. There is a well maintained park there too. A few adventure activities too. In a corner there are a dozen long swings which is absolutely fun.

It's simply majestic! Trust me the photos don't do justice to this place. You need to be there to experience it. I am not sure if I was just lucky to be there at there at a right time, but my personal experience was great. "Picturesque", "breathtaking", these words just came to my mouth as they felt to be made for the scenes I saw. The dam in itself is grand and is topped with the Banasura peak watching over it. It was raining when I was there and the clouds surrounding the hill ranges made it wallpaper worthy. The boating experience is also amazing.

This Dam is mesmerizing and out of this world. The scenery is mind-blowing surrounded by gigantic Mountains and incredible to watch. The climate changes here very rapidly without any clues. Pros: Parking is free and rest room is available for 5rs. Cons: The entry fee is 40rs per person & It's a very Vast area to travel they have Van/cab Facility that has separate tickets per head. The speedboat was very much Fabulous. The ticket fare for speed boat is 1000Rs for 6 people, it's really worth it. The activities available in this place are Horror house, Bumbler Car, Zipline, Adult Swings & many more for kids. Rating: Ticket Fare - 4/5 ( only for Speed Boat) Quality time - 5/5

It's a great place to visit with your family and friends. One of the most iconic & beautiful scenic beauties to visit. You have tickets to enter which are easily available at the gate. It's a huge dam and they have stairs to climb and also a walking pathway. If you are not able to walk they also have a bus service to take you to the top. You can take a to and fro ticket of the bus route. It has a waiting time of 10-30 mins. Once at the top there are many activities you can do for which you can take tickets. We didn't do much. Enjoy the view and admire the beauty around. The best time to visit is the monsoon but check if it's open or not. Parking is easy and hassle free. There is also a play zone for kids to keep them engaged be it 12D movie or banging cars or shooters, kids can enjoy.

If you are a fan of seeing nature then I would definitely recommend. It is seriously beautiful. But it's not for those who are uninterested in admiring views and unwilling to walk up only for 10 minutes (although there is a van you can pay for, it is usually crowded.)

It is a slight climb (flight of steps) from the car park to the top of the dam. Moderately fit people can do it easily. The old and the infirm can do it a little slowly. The views of both water and mountains are gorgeous and soothing. Zip lining for the adventurous is an attraction.

Banasura Sagar Dam is one of the Most Amazing Place to Visit at Wayanad. You can go with own vehicles following the maps. We have to buy tickets to enter. Then to reach at the Top of the Dam we need to walk some 800-900 meters and then we have to climb around 200 Steps. The Lake looks amazing from the top view as I have provided the pics. There js is Boating Point too. Speed Boating is Rs.1000/- per boat with maximum of 5 people. There are other paddle boats also but Speed Boating is amazing experience and Must Try. There is Zipline service also available. You can even try that instead of walking down from the rop I have provided reviews for other places in Wayanad too So please check my profile ✅

Nature is beautiful to the fullest extent at this place. You will love the beautiful and terrific scenery once you climb up the dam. You will never regret the 40+ stairs that you climb to teach there. You also have van Services at nominal cost. You will surely say WoW once you reach here. 100% Better plan for this place, the first thing in the morning. Reach by around 930am. It will be less crowded and you can enjoy the nature. Kids play area is at the base.

At first I thought that there was nothing much to see after I entered. But when we got to know that there was a mini bus to reach the dam area, we thought of going as it was for just Rs. 25. Trust me that was the best experience. They have speed boat and ferry ride options and you must give it a try. Speed boat is charged Rs. 1000 per boat and 5 members can go at a time. You pass through a lot of mini islands and they will ride for around 15 mins that too almost till the other end of the dam. Such a lovely experience. They even have a play area for children and also adults, horror house e.t.c.

Must visit while in Wayanad. It'll take about half a day to completely explore this place. The lake is huge & they offer speed boat rides at 1000 rs for 4. The boat ride may take around 15 minutes and they'll take you through the entire lake. The view is mesmerizing but could be a bit tiring on a sunny day.

Justttttttt loved it. We should be proud to be Indian🇮🇳. This is India's largest dam and Asia second largest. What a nature Beauty with human maintenance. Suggest to go early morning or at evening if going in winter and summer. 2-5pm very sunny trust me. If still want to enjoy activities then bus to top of dam available and return also available, but on weekends queue will be big. At dam enjoy dam water within hills, very scenic beauty. Activities like fish spa, boating, rope sliding are very famous. On Weekends difficult to get tickets go before 12pm.

Cameras can't do justice in capturing the beauty of this place. You just have to experience the beauty of this place through your eyes. This is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen in India. Go for speedboating or normal boating to have glimpses of the stunning beauty of banasura.

This is an amazing place to wind down in Wayanad. We were lucky to visit this place when the crowd was very less. We almost had the entire park to ourselves. The view of Banasura Peak is mesmerizing with the clouds kissing the hills. The Same also has a solar panel over the walkway and also a floating solar array on the water. The view is great with small islands in between the water.

Must visit place in Wayanad. It looks beautiful during winters with fog around mountains. Speed boat and kayaking are must try here. There will be long wait for speed boat so try to reach here by 9:30 on weekends. There will be nothing to eat here on the top except icecreams.

This place is huge and so very beautiful. 😍😍💕The pictures don’t do justice to how breathtaking it actually is in real life. You will need to walk a lot to reach the top of the dam so make sure to wear comfortable shoes and you can carry so snacks with you as well!

It is a good experience and tourist place, the tickets costed Rs40/- per adult and there’s a bit of the walking. Choose early morning or sunset time to visit at this place. The children can enjoy the park and some activities like car dashing, horror house and zip line. There is boat ride and it should be good. This dam is the largest earthen dam and second largest of Asia. If you are at this place do visit it.

Very beautiful place for family and couples. It is the second largest earth dam. Reached on the top the Dam after a crowded journey. The road to the dam(2kms) is under Maintenance and you would find lots of buses and travellers on the way. It would be very difficult to reach near by the dam ticket counter by car because of high traffic. It is better to park your 4 wheeler on the road side safely. Speed boating facility is available but you have to buy tickets before 5:00pm.

The best time to visit this place is post monsoon, during summer, water level was low and it is was very sunny and hot. Zip line is worth here if you want to try first time, speed boat was worth of money but you need 4 people to go in speed boat. At the dam entrance you can find restaurants and small snacks vendors but on dam top there are no eateries so be prepared for that. You can see solar panels on dam road which provides electricity as well shade during sunny days as well as a floating solar panel. All together it was good experience

It's a beautiful place to spend an amazing evening amidst nature. Please avoid during Sunny day and Its a huge place built so well. There is an entry charge of 40 rupees and it is worth. We came with the group and started hiking group and that was really fun. where there is a huge garden, forest, and many activities. You can enjoy water activities like speed boat (1000rs for a boat with 5people), coracle ride(450 rupees for a coracle for a couple) , kayaking. There is also a fish spa at the nominal price of 100rupees. There is zip lining also named Muddy boots. There are wooden swings amidst the trees which can be enjoyed by kids as well as adults. The sunset from here is spectacular. Beautiful mountains and water and greenery. Perfect view for amazing pictures... Do visit this place on your trip to Wayanad.

It’s a decent place. Has a good view. After you enter the place by paying an entry fee of Rs.40/person, you need to walk up to reach see the view and to the boating place. There are around 160 stairs to reach up. You can take the chargeable tempo-traveller bus as well to reach the top if you wish to. There are different types of boating options available. Better to avoid visiting this place on Saturday-Sunday. It’s quite crowded over there. And up have to wait a lot for getting to do the boating.

The is entry ticket to dam. They also charge extra for camera, There is Van facility to take you to the top of the dam. The dam is a place for solar energy creation also. The garden provides a place to relax for much more time.
