Unfortunately this place gets a very low rating. The hygiene in here is awful. The place was empty and the bins were all full, it was obvious that they had not been emptied for days. The tables were all dirty. There was confusion between the staff and they don’t deliver the food to the table instead shout across the room. All the windows were dirty with finger prints. We tried to pay half cash and half card but that was not possible as they did not know how to take the cash part. The bins outside were all overflowing with seagulls having a whale of a time. They should be fined for not playing their part in stopping the seagulls from stealing the rubbish. It’s supposed to be a multi million pound company… Avoid at all costs as this place spreads germs…

ordered a bargin bucket to be delivered by Justeat. Delivery was really quick, but all i got was the chicken and no fries. Phoned KFC to complain and was told that it wasn't their fault. But they made the order up and sealed the bag! Very disappointed.

Not really sure why people whine and moan about KFC Paignton. Been going there for years, and it's great. Food is always perfectly cooked and fresh!

Visit in 2023: Ordered 3 boneless chickens. OK they were good, but needs to be way more crispy - it was too soft on the outside. Crushems was OK, 6/10 nothing special. Thought it'd have way more chocolate pieces and be milkier (not watery). Visit in 2021: Quorn burger was not crispy, dry and bland with little spices. They had no sauce for the ice cream. Hot chocolate was not sweet, thought a Large would be bigger. Lots of Delivery and Uber Eats drivers in and out, talking loudly, not very pleasant as a customer.

Staff either have poor training or just don't want to be there. Definitely won't return to any KFC. got given the wrong order to start with when mentioned was treated like it was my fault then waited ages for the real order. I had selected eat in with the table number i had to collect it myself from the counter in a takeaway bag. Went to get some sugar for the coffee got ignored by the staff for 5minutes while 3 staff members packed 1 bag only wanted a sachet of sugar. Very dirty seats and floors and terrible staff.

This is the worst KFC we have ever eaten in, the staff are also the worst , to think it's funny to play fight ,whilst trying to serve hot coffee (yes it landed on their side of the counter) is absolutely beyond me. Health and safety plus environmental health get your act into gear and go and get this place sorted out!

Splendid food. Easy ordering via touch screens. I stood by the counter with the receipt 30 minutes. My order was not dispatched. I told staff and showed the receipt from touch screen, and the lady went off behind the scenes and brought me my order. She was apologetic. And everything was ok. Not sure why this happens.

Unfriendly staff, placed order and asked for table service. Waited for food whilst hearing 2 very rude staff members shouting out order, we had requested table service, so didn't think this would be our order and we clearly had the table service number 12 on show on the table, the food sat on the counter for over 20 minutes before we realised the staff members were glaring at us. However they were delivering table service to their friends. Absolutely disgusting customer service. Worst KFC I have ever been to. Staff training in customer service should be a priority.

If I could leave no stars I would! Visited the store last night for a treat for the family - decided to eat in rather than sit in the car, ordered on the touch screen as no one serving in counter, selected ‘eat in’ I stood and waited for the food at the counter whilst my wife found properly the only half clean table in the place - there was only 3 families sat in there so mostly empty, the tables were dirty, rubbish on the floors - felt like the floor had been mopped with grease - when food ready, I was give it in a bag! This was a £30 party meal for eat in - when I asked for the paper plates and cups I had 4 cups thrown in the bag and instead of 4 small paper plates, I was given for boxes to make up Instead 😳 When I joined the family we decided to take the food with us as we couldn’t deal with the disgusting state of the store There were more than enough staff standing around chatting but not to serve or clean I guess

Quite frankly it sucks… Walked in and had to clean our own table, ordered a rice box and was given a chicken bucket lid to eat with. There was no cutlery and no napkins. Also with the rice box it’s ment to come with spiced beans and did not… don’t recommend to others.

Ok food but the staff is very very slow! Basically just a few costumers but still had to wait more than a half an hour for our food they just chatting and laughing but no serving. They don't give a Shee7 about the costumers, they even had friends having free drinks around. Happy days for them.

Has to be one of the slowest kfcs I’ve been to. I waited 15 minutes for a zinger meal, but 1 mate waited half an hour, and the other 25 minutes just for an ice cream! Food was nice once we eventually got it tho.

I’ve had it. Give this place chance after chance and tonight was the final straw. Every single time there is a mistake but this time out of 3 box meals sharing box of fillets and a kids meal, we were missing the box meals, there was a couple bits thrown in the bag we didn’t order. Is there someone running this place?? My 10 year old could do better!!! Absolutely terrible service time and time again. I feel sorry for the drivers, they say it happens all the time and they get the backlash from it.

Got a fillet burger meal. Fillet burger was only warm, was clean enough but not spotless , everyone was served with a takeaway bag although all sitting in,where's the trays. Strange.These places could be so good with a decent manager.

DO NOT ORDER BUCKETS. 14 piece bucket had twice had 12 drumsticks. The cheapest cut. I like a drumstick, but put some selection in. Can’t report this anywhere else. Paignton had always been the worst KFC over the last 20 odd years. Can’t wait for the new Torquay one. Manager should answer this.

Visited this place a few times in the last couple of months and without exception, the drive through service has always been painfully slow and as a consequence the queue is always at least 7 to 8 cars long. So expect a 10 min wait to order and a min 10 mins after that to get your order In fact I wrote this review while in the queue! Apart from that it's a KFC so you know what you are getting

The foods that we always have on our anniversary are KFC . Today, our 31st anniversary, we went to get KFC for our lunce and just want to say it is still as nice and hot as we expected. Also we got enough for our dinner too. Thank you, KFC

Been sick last few days n finally got the courage to order some food and try to keep it down. We'll I probably could have if the sandwich wasn't stone cold and stale, aswell missing half my order and made incorrectly. Didn't even bother giving me sauce on my burger, let alone the stale old chicken piece was missing a second old stale piece of chicken.. I called and asked nicely if they would come back take my food untouched and bring me my correct order, said there was nothing they could do and now dinner is ruined.. things like this make me never order from a place again... just waste of money

Very quiet when I arrived. One thing I may need to add is that the machine I ordered from couldn't scan my KFC app. Oh well. It was still lovely before I had to carry on with my day.

I steered far following the news of this branch being the worst in the UK a couple years ago. A few people had told me they got food poisoning & I've previously spent an hour in the drive thru queue. Recently though, I returned & thus far the service has been fantastic, the wait is minimal, the food is piping hot & it's so much cheaper than Maccys. I'm impressed at the turn around.

The server, Alana was exceptionally rude! She was heard talking about me to her colleague when I simply asked if it possible to have a breast piece in the bucket. Telling her colleague that is my fault for not requesting it in the first point. I explained that on the self service boards it's not possible to customise your order on a bucket. No apology was offered after I explained this.

Ordered Online took my money did not deliver any food left with no leg to stand on on any refund AVOID this place their riders and service is nonexistant. should also state i waited for three hours. if Id have known i was gunna be messed about id have gone out to get food instead . Cant vrify i never got the order because KFCs services protect KFC not customers (i seriously wouldnt care if theyd just cancelled my order) probably the worst food service i have ever experienced. Because at least overcooked would still be filling.

Absolutely rubbish Drive through late home from work so didn't check. So got home with a Gravy mega box.. NO GRAVY. tower box meal ... NO BEANS AND NO PIECE OF CHICKEN.

Popped here for a cheeky bucket of chicken. We ordered a party bucked inside to take away. The drive through queue was huge so I expected to wait ages. 4 minutes later we were on the way! Very fast and friendly staff. The mix of chicken pieces was great too.

Not bad for a KFC! Food was piping hot, reasonably good pieces of chicken, service was quick, and staff were polite. Toilets could be cleaned more often though as they weren't great.

Very dirty place. There was no clean table to stay on- wiped but still greasy. Very dirty floor aswell and there was only 2 customers inside and no orders on the screen. Is not the staff fault, is it the manager, in my opinion, who permanently stayed on the phone texting/playing while I was there. The food was fine: nothing differerent from any other kfc.

The fact that so many people would go out of their way to leave a review of a fast food restaurant speaks volumes. In this instance it’s because it’s horrendous. It’s rarely fully operation and when it is the menu is again rarely fully available. To top it off the food is quite often below the standard you’d expect from a KFC. Not exactly setting the bar very high.

My partner and I thought we would come here for lunch as we hadn’t been here in a while. I ordered a three piece original meal and a cookie, they forgot my cookie (shocker) and I had to go back in and ask for it and they were quite reluctant as we didn’t get a receipt (didn’t think we would need it) My three piece meal was just three bits of chicken leg, no variety so I asked if they could maybe mix it up a bit which they did. I used to love kfc chicken but now it seems to be greasy as hell with hardly any chicken on the bone. Disappointed, will avoid for a good while again.

Go here every now and then despite it being a longer travel time than my local KFC. The staff are usually great, really cheerful and polite. We did have a legendary delay in the drive thru one time because someone in front of us ordered a rice box apparently.

Staff are friendly enough but don't seem that well trained or happy, which is not their fault at all. I enjoy the food, despite what trip advisor reflects. Used to get mistakes in the drive through order but that's been better of late.

After so many bad reviews over the years I have to say that the last few times we have been here it has been spot on. Delicious, fresh, nothing forgotten. There have been noticeable improvements and I'm pleased to recommend it. We'll done kfc

Once voted the worst KFC in the country. Since then it's got better, however on my visit the first automated order post we used failed twice before we used another that worked. The table we sat at was dirty and we had to wipe it down with servicers and alcohol gel before sitting to eat.. staff were also somewhat confused by a couple orders while I was waiting and I had to ask for paper cups as they weren't given for our drink..... So not quite out of the woods yet eh? Chicken was good, fries were absolutely terrible. Also on the automated system there was no gravy so I assumed they'd stopped doing it.... However when I picked up my order it was under sides on the board on the wall. Bit of a disappointment. Don't really recommend it still. A lot of money for only chicken.

KFC paignton you've done it again. Ordered a tower burger, got home no hashbrown but guess what you still charged me for a tower burger. Chips soggy and cold as per usual. Tango tasted flat and old. Why am I not surprised. Thought I'd give another chance as it was convenient as was passing on my way home. Won't bother next time

Yep have to agree with many of the reviews this place is a dump. Staff wondering around when they should be cleaning up. Dirty tables at 9.30pm at night when the place was dead. Chair up on tables that where suppose to be cleaned. Food was nasty you could squeeze the spicy wings and oil came out. Go to the one in town near the beach

No table service, & no placement numbers, no dipping sauces available and room temperature #pepsimax not a great experience.

Absolutely incapable. 3 separate ordered over a few weeks, all missing food, nobody answers the phone. Not sure how hard it could be to include chips when every meals comes with chips..? Not even the decency to answer the phone to refund me for them. Go to McDonalds, at least the can serve you both parts of your meal.

Tasted good, arrived quickly which is what we needed with gas shut off and child to feed. Only negative was ordered mash and got chips instead. Never had an order from here 100% right.
