Asia's one of the longest water dams and it was truly a remarkable experience. The dam was an engineering marvel, and it was clear that a lot of thought and effort had been put into its design and construction. What I loved most about this water dam was the breathtaking views that it provided. From atop the dam, you could see for miles around, and the vast expanse of water stretching out in front of you was truly awe-inspiring. It was a great place to visit with family and friends, and we spent hours enjoying the scenery and taking in the fresh air. In addition to its natural beauty, the dam was also very well-maintained and had a lot of great amenities for visitors. There were plenty of picnic areas and benches where you could sit and relax. Overall, I would highly recommend this water dam as a must-visit destination for anyone traveling to Paithan. Whether you're a nature lover or just looking for a fun day out with family and friends, you're sure to enjoy the stunning views and peaceful atmosphere of this incredible place

Dam is located right adjecent to the city with Dnyaneshwar garden... Just two three km from dam there is Shri nath temple as you can see nath temple from dam itself ...near dam there is paithani saree house on the way to dam ...!!! Don't try to swim in to dam if you can't swim or don't know how to swim depth is more than 20-30 MTR on very starting point ....!!! Take care when you taking selfies on the dam don't go too near water it's slippery platform there...!!!!

Jayakwadi Dam is located about 60 kms from Aurangabad (nearest airport) and the only way to reach it is by road. Located in the town of Paithan - which is famous for other historical reasons as well as Dnyaneshwar udyan which has musical fountains, this is a must visit place if you are in Aurangabad. The dam is known as Jayakwadi while the reservoir formed is known as Nath Sagar. The dam primarily provides water supply to Aurangabad city and surrounding industrial areas. The dam is on river godavari. The large water body also makes it a great place for spotting birds which come here in large numbers during migratory season. This dam is different than others because while other dams are typically made with mountains on the sides and the area in between being the catchment and storage area, jayakwadi is spread across a large area due to the topography. One can climb up over hundred steps on the dam wall to see the large water body on the other side. There are about 12 gates from where water is released but that area is out of bounds for security reasons
