We had a lovely stay at the Oliphant during our trip in Sri Lanka. Hidden in the hills of Nuwara Eliya, you can find this charming tea bungalow/estate that used to belong to the manager of the nearby tea factory. The staff is very friendly and the interior decoration matches the theme. The chef made great coconut based side dish which you should definitely try during breakfast. Our biggest positive surprise was the tea trail that begins right next to the property, it's nice short walk and perfect opportunity for some photos (the staff can guide you to the right path).

A nice boutique smaller hotel with pleasant rooms. The restaurant was quite good and the walk to the top of the ridge to was about 3 km return and is worth it. Staff pleasant and helpful. Only negatives are no fridges in the rooms and no gin. Wine list limited. But a nice short break in the cool highlands. The lobster grilled was very good (actually three crayfish).

What a lovely place. It’s super located and the stuff - especially Laksman was such a great host - speaking many languages and is helpful in any matter. We totally recommend that place and we adored the quiet ambience. Breakfast in the garden was a bliss.

obsessed with this place! from the beautiful surroundings to the charming property itself, we were definitely entranced. the service was amazing - the staff was there for us at every step of the way and we felt very welcome. the room was also comfortable and beautifully-decorated and we really enjoyed all the meals given to us - especially the freshly-baked bread! highly-recommended, and we’ll definitely be back the next time we visit as well (:

Stayed here for a night in August for my bday ... had an amazing experience... The resort is beautiful and in a perfect location.... rooms are very well furnished and spacious..... Apart from the location and rooms, best thing about the stay would be the staff... they were attentive and courteous and always ready to help... food was delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed the local cuisines :) Evey dish from the kitchen was good and we had a great time at dinner... And I should definitely mention abt Mr. Laxman who is a lovely gentleman who took care of us during the stay...... he is a gem and always goes beyond to take care of the guests... We forgot a bottle in the property and went to Ella without realizing it... Mr. Laxman has called us and offered to send us the bottle if possible... next day mrng he packed the bottle in a perfect condition and sent us the bottle to us with another guide who was coming to Ella... :) such a lovely gesture 👏 And thanks for arranging the bday cake for celebration:) We loved the stay and will definitely come back again in future :)

Great view, but far from everything, no much entertainment in the hotel such as gym, spa, pool, rooms are very dark and cold so we been wearing blankets all the time, no ac in the room. Very clean! Tasty! But the best thing was a service! Guys really support every our step and was there for you, they actually made our stay comfortable! There was very kind and friendly gardener who made a small excursion for us, and big thanks to the waiter and all the management..

Very good private Banglow to relax, clean and superb service they gave from the time we come there. Dhanushka and the team they’re so efficient and they are so good in their service. From front to back all the staff were so flexible, good food they made us and gave what ever we requested even for the kid they made all the dishes that she loves to eat. So much more worth for the money spent, Dhanushka and the team went out of the way to make us all happy and to enjoy our stay. Highly recommended. The moment you have a view of the bungalow upon arriving, you will love it instantly. Rows of beautiful flowers blended so well with the building from every angles ... At the main door you will be greeted by a team of well uniformed smiling staffs and be led into a nice reception lounge where aromatic Sri Lankan tea will be served ....... My wife and me really loved strolling on the garden, taking so many memorable photos. And there is a tea estate too... Breakfast at the garden is a most romantic experience. And the variety of fruits, breads, croissants and Sri Lankan breakfast is most generous. Dinner with a fireplace is another enjoyable romantic event for us. I would say our two nights stay at Oliphant Bungalow certainly stand out as the most memorable part of our trip in Sri Lanka ...

No words to explain the beauty and the tranquility of the hotel.. Truly amazing place and staff are sincerely helpful and ready to sever their best... We had a feeling of we are at our own home with our own family... they treated us such a level of courtesy... We celebrated our son's birthday at the hotel... the hotel provided us a great out door birthday party.... Thanks you so much for the service...

I recently stayed at the Oliphant estate and had an amazing experience! From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed by the wonderful staff who were friendly and helpful throughout my entire stay. The bungalow itself was quaint and beautifully decorated with a mix of traditional and modern decor. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The property itself is stunning with lush greenery and beautiful flowers everywhere you look. Excellent .Located near Shantipura village the highest village in Sri Lanka ,Olliphant boutique villa is a very beautiful and calm place . The food is scrumptious and Laxman ji is especially very warm , helpful and kind . The chef also on our request changed the menu. The wifi is very strong and the interior is magnificent

Its a beautiful place to relax surrounded with tea plantation...we have a great experience during our stay. Had more fun with our families. Not forgetting the staff who was very friendly and helpful. The staffs are assets to the organization. The food was delicious all the time. Overall worthful stay. Love this place and expecting to visit again.

We did not know what to expect at Oliphant Bungalow, truth be told. We booked it last moment because there was nothing else available. Needless to say our stay was very pleasant. Everything was excellent! Especially the staff. Everyone was very polite and helpful and went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible! Definitely coming here again!

Oh, such a joy! The place is totally worth it! The room was nice, the bed was comfy, the water in the shower was nicely hot, the service was great, the dinner and breakfast were amazing! We enjoyed our time there!
