Neat and spacious rooms. Decent car parking. Our stay was good and worth the money spent. Satisfied! Unfortunately they don't have elevator facility and stairs are steep to climb. They have common restaurant, but they neither supply to guests at room, nor having separate reserved tables. The hotel is located exactly opposite to Valluvar Theatre.

I have stayed two days in this hotel. It is affordable price for middle class family The rooms are very neat and clean . It is very nearer to bus stand and railway station and the temple as well. The near by restaurants which make the stay even more comfortable!

Rooms are good but room service is not available all time and requested to clean the room but room boy came and gave the broomstick and asked us to sweep , when asked said no members available if you wan clean and no respect to customers. Reception they have a lady employee who speaks so harsh and no respect for customers and not answering to our question and she shout at customers no politeness or calmness or greetings from reception person in morning shifts. Location wise good , that's the only positive about this hotel.

Stayed for one day. Booked room through mobile only. Located in main market area. Main entrance to the hotel is relatively small and due to other show rooms and shops one might miss noticing the board. One veg. Restaurant is there -Gowri krishna in front of the hotel. Food is excellent and prices are very reasonable. With in 1/2 km distance one can reach the temple. Parking may be problem if more vehicles have come on the same time. One can try staying here, since food restaurant and railway station can be reached easily.

Staffs behaviour especially the receptionist behaviour is very rude with customers and the hotel is very old doesn't have lift service. Not value for money.

We booked standard room by phone grond floor because of lift facility not available However,they were not honred my booking and provided first floor room and they asked more money for executive suite on ground floor room. I think this is marketing tactics to make more money. There is no hot water either night time or morning time I called so many times for hot water but no use same answer turn knob right side. Room room has craks on roof, I added photo also on this

Budget friendly, located nearby to railway station and everything like good food, medicines and transportation available very nearby.

Clean and neat rooms with all needed facilities. Lift facility is not available. People with the knee pain might struggle to climb the steps. Highly recommended for family's. There is also a hotel next to the entrance which caters with the good taste and affordable food items. You have to be extra careful during the entrance and exit as there a ramp been put and some vehicle hit the bottom of the ramp and the metal barricades taking sharp turns.

Hotel is decent place to stay in Palani for a few day at a affordable price,The rooms were spacious, with water heater available 24/7,AC and Fan are also functional the bathrooms were clean. The linen was kind of dirty, and the caretaker needs to know how to interact with customers. There is some issues with Car parking if completely full,Expect some problems from the security guy and the manager as well.Overall I had a relatively good stay. Would recommend.

Very nice experience staying at Hotel Sownthariyam. Very affordable prices. Rooms were clean, comfortable and had all basic facilities (I booked a standard AC room for a single night stay). Room service for food is good. Tasty food at a reasonable price.

Management should teach its staffs what customer service really means. I visited Palani and chose to stay in this hotel. There was a mix up by Agoda/me in booking the room for day use. I was under the assumption that checkout is in the evening but apparently it wasnt the case. Checkout was at 7 in the morning. In any case, hotel management has the responsibility to remind its occupants about he checkout. The staff didnt. He waited till we left for breakfast and locked the door without any intimation. That was a very unprofessional conduct. When we returned and reached out to him, he demanded full night charge though I said i will be checking out that evening and i just need it for day use. He persisted. I chose to checkout and wanted to look for other hotels nearby. He asked if they can meanwhile clear the room and take my luggages out. That tells a lot about the hotel management and its greed. I finally chose to pay the full amount and extend my stay. Never will choose this hotel during my next visit to Palani. There are better options.

Average rooms. Cleanliness needs to be improved. Calling them up directly instead of booking sites may be cheaper. On the bazaar road, so you can just step out for dining or shopping.

One of the very few old world evoking options in Palani. Nothing fancy. Very spacious family rooms. And wonderful food from Gowri Shankar right next door. Try the tea just outside the hotel served from a big copper drum-like container.

A neat and clean Hotel in Palani. It is affordable too for middle class family. It is at the centre and so easily accessible for bus stop, railway station and the temple as well. There are near by restaurants which make the stay even more comfortable! Keep up the good work!

It was a very good experience staying here. Especially for the price, i think what they offer for this price is amazing. Spacious room with Air conditioner, geyser, wifi, decent food, timely service. I did not find a flaw when I stayed here. Highly recommend this if you want to save some bucks. ❤️
