Please don't choose this hostel. Used to change the rules often. The food provided is not hygienic. Breakfast provided on Saturday and Sunday are the worst. Collected maintenance charge even when the hostels were closed during the Covid19 pandemic. Collected Rs 1000 as packing charge for just keeping the luggage outside during the pandemic. They didn't return the advance amount. As per the agreement they have to return our advance within one month of vacating the PG. At first, they said that they need some time for returning the advance amount. So, I waited for almost 2 months after vacating the PG. After that, the warden stopped replying to my messages regarding the advance amount. Later I contacted the owner directly and she said that I haven’t paid the rent properly. Then I send the screenshots of messages that had been sent by the warden in which she had mentioned the rent to be paid. When the owner understood that the same amount had been paid by me, she blocked my number. After reading this review, if you still wish to join this PG, it’s up to you.

Fully money minded people during cov-19 also they are asked full payment .if you vacate the pg you must to pay 1000 for packing the luggage very worst hostel forever

I will give 000 review for this PG. Full of money minded management and food also very worst and bloody rules and bloody management and she had full head weight. She didn’t care about people she will care about money given by people.my humble suggestion not to join this pg. Even small pg is better than this pg.Even this corono situation also she is making money by asking almost 80% of Pg rent (who were not there in pg staying at home). In all pg they are taking 30-50% but she said that this pg rule is to collect money that’s it. Bloody money minded women.

I have stayed here for 8 months.. Clean n neat maintenance.. Ppl who luv neatness can opt this.. Self cooking option is also there n they will wash the clothes with help of washing machine.. I suggest this :)

The worst pg i have ever been decided to vacate the hostel with in one week. But just because of notice period i was made to stay. No heater, washing machine will have timing only from 6am-5pm. And during vacations we should not use washing machines. What not to explain...😇😇.

I stayed in this hostel for 10months..While joining owner will say onething.After joining she will change whatever she said before..If u ask anything about that, then they will ask u to shift the hostel immediately..owner will not keep the rent same across all the rooms even if it is a same kind of room and same sharing..very worst management..my suggestion is not to join in this pg..

My sister had very bad experience… had to go to ps to get luggage back, staff is very rude… they were asking to transfer money to personal account rather than pg account.

I haven't stayed here but visited it once. Nice and Clean environment but no geyser. Mostly there are 6 bedded rooms.

I would like to give one star. Please dont prefer this hostel. Me and friends stayed there for last 2 years and vacated in covid period. They refused to pay the advance amount. Still Im fighting to get my money back and the owner blocked my number. Once you join they tell the hostel fee excludes only electricity bill but later we paid for water, EB, Maintenance etc... Please be aware to choose this Hostel in all branches also the premises were untidy and unsafe for working women.

Olive castle pg is one of the worst places in Chennai to stay<br/>False promises:<br/>24*7 cab service (In reality, only one round trip a day is allowed, that too not on Sundays)<br/>They'll charge 10rs per unit in ur electricity bill and even don't provide a slip(raseed) for that(original commercial price is 6 rs per unit).<br/>This indirectly means they are charging customer for every electrical appliances that are being used in pg.<br/>Money minded owners who will charge exorbitant amount from customers on the name of rent.<br/>On top of that, u have to pay maintenance fees .( Beware! they'll not inform u about this before getting into pg)<br/>Warden is always there to do moral policing, specially for north Indians( they made few of us sign on a paper that says u can't meet boys on the same road where pg exist)<br/>Food is of bad quality and if u complaint for anything, be ready to pack ur bags and leave the pg same month.

Then I paid April, May, June, July all four month’s rent. Not sure of when the pandemic would get over I decided to vacate the hostel and informed both the warden and the owner about this on July 8 after paying my July month’s rent. Normally the vacating notice has to be given between 1 to 5 of every month, but I had to give it on 8th due to some uncertainties. They also agreed for my request. 7500 is the amount which I paid as my advance. Right from the day I informed I would be vacating I was asking how much I will be getting back from my advance amount. Warden wasn’t sure about the amount details. Hence I asked the owner about the same. She said that she wasn’t feeling well so could not say about the amount detail. The reply was continued for a month whenever I ask the amount detail. Finally she has to give me the detail on one fine day. 500 will be reduced as maintenance fees ( I stayed for 5 months). 1000 will be reduced as packing charges ( though i asked if i can come and vacate she told they will not allow anyone inside hostel. Then why do they charge separately ). The best thing is packing charge was introduced only from July. Excluding 1500, 6000 has to be given back. This is what I got over the phone call. She also informed she would pay the amount in two installment, which means 3000 on the first month after vacating and 3000 on the second month. i even asked for any proof stating that for which she told i can give only my word as proof. I was expecting an amount of 3000 on the first month but I received just 2250 for which I called her for times and times and checked with her. She then told i never told you that i would give 6000 back. When I checked with her, she said I just gave a verbal notice and not through any mail or letter so I was charged. I did not get any reply why that was done and all. And she told if we are calling again then they ll have to block my number. and when i called her she started telling me that i am torturing by calling her and asking about the amount details and kind of blackmailed emotionally saying that she has only her life to give me. Though the room is nice to stay the management is tooo worst. They get the rent on time and extra amount however possible but when you ask the advance that is when their real nature starts showing up. Bewareee!!!!

The reason behind the thing is I payed all month’s rent in advance itself so even after vacating it was the owner who has to pay me. But in other’s case they don’t pay a month’s rent then after excluding the maintenance and packing charge it would around 1000 to 1500 which the vacated person has to be received. People can prefer the pg no problem. But please try to forget the amount which you paid as advance.

worst PG ever. I want to give minus 3000 (-3000) rating. I stayed here for 18 months. There is no humanity in the Olive Castle staff. Full money minded people. No respect to the people over there. They are like there is food in your plate and your about to have a gulp at that moment they will ask you for extra maintenance charges (Note: By that time you would have already paid the rent) Mainly their actual behavior veils out while vacating. (Do not return the caution deposit fully. Adds extra unnecessary charges. For month of your presence they will charge you for the whole year)

Very very worst pg ever... They get money in whatever way the can.... Initially they won't say any extra fee and would collect in all means they can They don't give you the advance amount paid.. They only very less than how much u paid... Very very rude owner.. No proper maintenance but they would get 100 rs per month as maintenance fee. Shared washrooms and dirtiest ever.. Worst Pg ever i have seen. Fully commercial. No good food. No Humanity. 2 cabs for 200 people. It is Too costly. No one takes care of complaints and repair.Very careless people.
