We walked past this place a couple of days in a row and it always seemed very busy with a great ambiance. We decided to give it a try but are a bit disappointed. The service was good when you got their attention, that proved a hard thing to do leading to empty glasses and waiting for the check for more than 20 min. It could have been save by the food but most of it was bland and uninspiring. So many great places in the area I would try those and skip this one

Don’t really understand what the fuss is all about in this place. We have ordered a pasta and got a tasteless plate of dry pasta, the chunks of spaghetti tied together (it was that dry). Also ordered the Piatto Ferramenta for which we had high hopes, knowing the ‘aperitivo’ around here in Palermo. The reality is just a small plate with store bought focaccia, fried cheese balls and a sad salad of pumpkin. Cocktails are good. Maybe that’s the only thing people should come here for, I would understand that.

This was one of my favourite places I ate in Palermo when I visited in September 2023. It gets busy so I would recommend booking. They have a separate section for those just drinking and later in the evening there is a dj which adds to the lively atmosphere. Everything we ate was great and the wine list was superb. Recommend this place.

Food were good, but very unfriendly/unprofessional staff. Looked like they were only nice to people they know. Very unfortunate.

An amazing bar. The service is fast, kind and funny. The music is in the right volume with a really good playlist. They explained us the wines very detailed in order to pick the suitable for us. The prices reflects the excellent quality. Value for money.

For those looking for a stylish, anti-tourism wine bar and small plates meal… avoid. Disappointing to have had such high expectations for this place but sadly the negative reviews here are entirely accurate. Extremely poor (read: rude, slow, dismissive) service, equally poor food. Nice wine and an atmospheric location but go to Farmacia Alcolica for better drinks, welcoming staff, and a unique experience. From two foodies who love Palermo!

Great restaurant in the old city center. Excellent service, polite and kind waiters. Also perfect for an aperitif with a great selection of drinks and wines. The dishes are beautifully presented and the quality of the ingredients is excellent.

Excellent wine, fabulous service and a very relaxed setting. The food was good, though it did not blow me away. That said, I'm very particular about such things: another reviewer may (and should) have their own perspective.

Pay a visit just to admire an old ironmonger shop transformed in the most beautiful cozy and stylish restaurant. We had prime quality food and lovely wine

We arrived slightly later in the evening, after having some drinks in the old quarter. The staff seemed quite dismissive from the get go; taking an age to prepare a table for us and then having to be reminded to get us the basics: knife & fork… To add insult to injury, the food served was arguably the blandest dish I’ve ever consumed and I’m from the UK! The saving grace (if any) was a slight buzz around the square and restaurant and the nice white wine and San Pellegrino which arguably had more taste than my main dish! Good for drinks, otherwise bad vibes and tasteless food.

This place is fantastic. We stumbled here looking for a late dinner and were so lucky we had. All the food was delicious and really well presented. Great selection of wine too, and a lovely outdoor seating area. Definitely recommend this place for food and drinks.

Best atmosphere in Palermo combined with amazing food, had squid ink pssta recommended by the staff with local win. All excellent. Shame we didn't stay longer in Palermo to come a second time!

Best. Place. In. Sicily!! My boyfriend and I agreed we’ve never been to a better restaurant in our lives. I had the tuna steak, which was one of the best dishes I’ve ever eaten. He had the grilled beef, which was perfect as well. The staff were incredibly kind. They do everything to give you the best experience and seem to notice everything, even though the place was fully booked at all times. Since we were only in Sicily for a week we did not want to visit the same place twice, but made an exception this time. I can keep writing about all the great things about this place, but i highly recommend you just visit it yourself. Promise it won’t disappoint. And to any of the waiters or cooks i just want to say: thank you so much and you should be proud of yourself ❤️

The worst service EVER. It’s Palermo! Lose the attitude. I’ve been all over the world and never had such rude service. And, Ferramenta’s food was worse than its service — greasy, bland, and tasteless. News alert to the Ferramenta staff: You’re not at the Ritz on Place Vendôme in Paris. Ferramenta is on a dumpy and dirty back alley in Palermo, with tables in parking spots.
