👍👍 This is a very nice railroad exhibit. Great for all ages. It is run by volunteers, which is important because people here give their time and talent to keep the center open. They have a unique layout with great details and a scavenger hunt for any age. A must see when you are in Palestine. People often mention train, time,

Such an interesting sight to see!! I would like to go back and just take my time uninterrupted to discover all the details. The model town is exceptionally done. I appreciate the info from the volunteers but would’ve liked time alone to look and read. I wish I could shrink myself and ride that train through those mountains lol.

This was a personal HO scale train set that was built during his entire retirement in his 2 car garage. It's incredibly detailed. There are stations about with historical information. The husband and wife who were there were immensely friendly and informative. I absolutely enjoyed my time.

This is a fabulous example of model railroading done right. Multiple trains running through everything you would expect to see in an American landscape. There is a lot of history here as well. Photos, books, videos, and a very knowledgeable curator make this a must visit in Palestine, Texas.

Super fun experience. It is suggestive donation based but well worth paying. The lady up front was super friendly and informative and even gave us a scavenger hunt list for the kiddo. Super great experience and definitely recommend stopping by for a visit!

This place is pretty cool. Don't expect a huge museum, it's a one room building with a giant model train display and tons information. The two gentlemen there when we went were diligently working to get a show going and kept the place open passed closing to do so. The amount of detail in the layout is amazing and the kids enjoyed it too. I recommend going more than a half hour before they close so you have time to take it all in.

It's $3 an adult and my 1 and 3 year old are free. We've been twice in a weeks time! We love it. The staff is super knowledgeable about trains and their history. The model train exhibit is the kids favorite and sooooo big!!

Really enjoyed our visit at the Railroad Heritage Center with our grandson! He loves anything relating to trains! The Center even had a scaveger hunt sheet they handed out for us to discover items hidden in the huge train display. Lady that greeted us was very knowledgeable as to the history of the set up! They accept donations, think they requested $3 per adult and a $1 per child. We donated much more because it was so fun and interesting since we spent more than an hour there!

Good display of local railroad artifacts, but the most spectacular thing was the HO scale train set. Huge setup taking most of the builing. Towns, mountains, forest streams (find the big foot). Best display we seen in years. A do not miss attraction in Palestine, Tx
