We have an official meeting there. And we spend more than a day there. Meeting hall was not that much good .we also facing A/C problem in the hall. The room quality is not worth for the room charge, Need to improve it . Ambience was quite good. Food quality is awesome. House keeping was good . They provide best quality Pool . we could view the river , sea and feel the cool breeze . That was a wonderful experience to us .

Ordered Pizza and Chicken burger from Club Mahindra Cherai. They have delivered amazing pizzas and burgers. The pizza was definitely one of the best Iโ€™ve ever had in Kerala and the burger was so yummy. Really fresh and well made. The pizza was absolutely perfect and stand in line with authentic Italian pizza. They packed it very neatly and delivered very quickly and on time. Thanks to Mr. Mageshwaran of Club Mahindra, who recommended it to me.

Lovely rooms. Comfy. Except for the lack of a microwave, all is superb. Make sure you have your tea, milk, coffee etc without letting it get cold. Housekeeping is especially cordial and prompt. We stayed in a Hotel Unit. Swimming pool for any member's unlimited use. With varying heights and barricades between sections with different depths was very useful and safe.

Someone from the club Mahindra resorts called me and told I got selected among few members and I can go ahead spend a day along with dinner/lunch. And based on their invite I have been there with my family and it was really their business tactics. They want to get a membership from myself and they were forcing me to take club Mahindra membership right away. I told them that I don't want membership now I will let you know when required and they lost interest on us. So guys if you want membership tell that right away rather than fooling customers that you got selected and inviting them for dinner/lunch complimentary etc. This is unethical behavior. The property is very small and there is nothing to explore spending too much money or taking a membership not worth for this property.

Definitely not a 5 star. More like a 3 star. Rooms are comfortable. Bathrooms are shabby. Need deep cleaning and proper bathroom fittings. No geyser is fitted. They will try to convince you that there is a geyser. When you blast them a portable geyser will be fitted outside the room. Fan regulator never worked and inspite of informing them was never replaced in the 3 nights there. The Italian food in the so called Italian restaurant is useless. They have no concept on the taste of Italian food The other restaurant has decent food and the staff is very good.

Location and ambience beautiful. Rooms are good and clean. It has a beautiful backwaters backdrop in the studio rooms which makes the stay pleasant and soothing. The reception and house keeping are very helpful and polite. The missing star is because of the food. The platter is good and taste wise I'll rate it 8/10. However it's exorbitantly costly for a non member. A sandwich will cost u 400 here, add taxes and service charges, I feel TAJ is a cheaper alternative. If you are a family then you'll spend a fortune on food.

As a member of club Mahindra, this has by far been the absolute lowest on all the places Iโ€™ve visited, the hotel which claims 5 stars is barely running to 2 stars!, maintenance is at its all time low, filled in lizards in the rooms, no ac working and after repeated calls they never bothered to change the room or come check it, it took them 1.5 days to come ask me if I wanted a room change, the whole hotel is empty but they couldnโ€™t upgrade me being a member to a higher room but they could give foreigners a upgraded room. Rooms dimly lit, no vibe at the hotel feels like a old rickety closed place. Overall club Mahindra has been absolutely pathetic and o really hope if anyone wants to take a membership. PLEASE DO NOT! Take any other 5 star membership and youโ€™ll never be this let down.

Location is unique as it is between the sea and backwaters. The beach across the road is really fun and the backwater completely in contrast very soothing. The weather tends to be sultry due to the location. Rooms are good and clean. Food at the buffet counter is just adequate. Overall a good place to relax for 3 to 4 days.

It's a nice place for a weekend with family. The behaviour of the staff is quite is good. The proximity of the sea is an added attraction. The negative aspects are that the food is very expensive and not worth the cost, the maintenance is not up to the mark, the presence of dust bins in front of some cottages, shabby partitions, not enough toiletries absence of microwave etc are drawbacks.

We had a wonderful holiday in Club Mahindra Resort. Buffet was delicious and yummy. We had a relaxing stay and all the staff there took very good care of us.very supportive staff members, right from security, baggage pick up, reservation desk, housekeeping, room service, restaurant, etc deserves accolades. But high level of chemicals are used for cleansing in Swimming pool and it may lead us to some skin allergies and all.

Terrible experience. Electrical issues throughout the evening. Continuously power tripping. The food was very ordinary throughout our stay. Poorly trained staff. I was vociferous that I should get a room day credited back to me for the day and they refused . People, please donโ€™t become members of Club Mahindra. It is definitely not worth the money you end up paying. I have been a member for 20 years. Trust me. Donโ€™t get fooled.

Club Mahindra Cherai beach is a pretty resort with lots of greenery and flowers with a lovely view of the backwaters. It's wonderful to be able to sit outside and look at the fishermen with their nets. We had a relaxing stay and all the staff there took very good care of us.

But the lunch nd dinner was not good.this is very close to the beach though not private beach. I would recommend for team and family outing but advice the restaurant to improve the food quality.

Very well connected by train, bus and air. Possibly the only resort within the town limits unlike others in remote areas, with backwaters around and the Sea bang opposite. Good well ventilated rooms, boating, spa, yoga, cycling, sight seeing with Indian, Continental and Italian food. Unforgettable experience.

The scenic location and the well tended garden are the the highlights of the resort. The meals are tasty with limited variety and many repeat dishes ,and exorbitantly priced . Could do with some additional leisure activities at the Activity center. The backwater facing cottages are well maintained

I really liked staying in there... Quite and calm place but food prices were too exorbitant... Which I didn't use... Need proper maintenance for rooms as main doors having gaps and washroom doors made squeaky noise... Thanks for team as they welcomed the critic in positive way ...

Great resort, especially if you have a club membership. Nice ambience and beach access. Games and recreation equipment are slightly outdated and worn. Great rooms and service. However, there was bad cellular data connection.

Perfect location, we caught fish and crab with the help of the Club mahindra staff there. River around the resort make it feel like we are surrounded by lots of small animals over there. Mongoose, Cat, Crab, fishes we saw sitting in the lawn of our resort .. Overall it was a memorable โœจ๏ธ trip

The resort is a very nicely maintained good for a 2-4 days vacation..staff is humble and services are good. Food is as usual costly (1855/- for 2 meals per person per day). Rooms we had the Hotel Unit were decent sized or rather spacious with a fridge and Tea/Coffee. Overall ambience is good. Beach is right opposite to the resort.

Of course Mahindra has a standard and this Resort matches it equally. However, slight mismatch from actual standards, but that can be definitely improved. 1. Rooms: Studio, hotel unit and only 4 BR. Though, they are good but not very good. I stayed in studio, backyard needs some more beautification. Else, it is normally just like other hotels in the town. 2. Ambience: very nice. Small but worth going once, twice.. 3. Hygiene: It's mahindra 4. Food: tasty but costly like all Club Mahindra Resorts. Also, big confusion as of now with respect to ordering it through app and direct to restaurant. 5. Staff: Few ones are arrogant unlike Mahindra staffs, overall cooperative and nice 6. Facility: swimming pool, sports stuffs, restaurants, car parking, in house dinning, fishing, Souvenir shop *Recommendations: Must go if you want- Sea and backwater together Peaceful atmosphere away from city crowd Sea beach within 200 meters Backwater on 3 sides And a classy holiday Thanks.. Enjoy the moments

We booked a studio, but was accommodated into a old hotel room instead. The room needed maintenance and the basic amenities were missing like water bottles and toiletries. The staff was repeatedly trying to convince us that the room is as good as the Studio facing backwaters, which was sadly not! Overall had the experience of staying in a 3-star hotel.

We had booked the day package which turned out to be an interesting and fun affair. The food was scrumptious and altogether well-organised. A special mention is for their hospitality- with a few toddlers and three harried mothers in tow, the staff were extremely accommodative and met our last minute requests in short notice. They endeavoured to make it a lovely experience for us city dwellers.

I went as a club Mahindra member. The rooms are pretty clean and well maintained. Hospitable and great staffs. It is right in front of the beach, so accessing the beach is easy, but I lost track of time spending time in the resort with my family. I loved my time there.

Everything is good in the Resort except the pathways around. They are paved with uneven stones, which makes walking very difficult for senior citizens . One can enjoy more by going for walk if the pathways problems are taken care of.

Club Mahindra Cherai is a charming beachside resort offering warm hospitality and stunning views. Comfortable accommodations, attentive staff, and a range of activities make for a memorable stay. The pristine beach, delicious cuisine, and rejuvenating spa add to the allure. Perfect for a tranquil getaway and cherished memories. Highly recommended!

Only giving stars for the location. Rooms are ok. But quite old. Needs maintenance. Basic amenities in the washroom are by design missing. Then the phone is too old. You have to shout over the phone. Coming to hospitality. I mean they seemed good at start. But they kept on selling their candle light dinner. Honestly I wanted to do. But they were like asking after every 5 mins during my dinner. How's the food. And follow up with what will be the menu for candle light. I told them 5 6 times. Let's discuss in morning. Let me have dinner in peace. But for an hour I was there in their resturant, it sucked all the blood. Asking a lot of repetitive question. Keeping an eye on me after every 5 mins, that I had the honestly run away from them. Over hospitality sucks. And it sucks bad. Also quality wise, good tasted ok. You are paying for 5 star but getting 3.5 or 4 max in one two dishes. Rest dishes were dull. Seemed like reheated and kept from afternoon. Coming to water, even the drinking water was provided in jug. No bottle. And jug opening was so slow, to drink water, you need to wait a min for one glass. Anyways, I enjoyed rest of my stay. Went to beach and a couple of other places nearby. Cherai is good overall.

I recently stayed at this property for 2 nights. Iโ€™d like to appreciate all the staff members starting from the smiling faces at the front desk, the restaurant managers and servers, the chefs, masseuses at the spa and all other house help professionals. These people work sincerely hard to make you feel home and will ensure to check on you and your families all the time. I was particularly impressed by the way they treat you at the meal table - with so much affection & warmth - they will ensure you arenโ€™t leaving the table without having dessert - makes oneโ€™s stomach fuller & heart more content! Managers kept dropping by for those quick chats that made us feel belonged in a different land :) I happened to fall sick on one of the days - the gentleman at the front desk made sure to arrange for my visit at the nearest hospital and the driver was kind enough to run around in the hospital with my partner as the place was new for us and helped us ease with the language barrier. These folks truly dedicate themselves at your service, whether itโ€™s raining heavily or in scorching heat, and are disciplined with their values! Iโ€™m grateful to have had the opportunity of staying around such beautiful hearts and souls. Thank you ๐Ÿ™

Stayed there for a couple of nights. It's a very calm getaway with rooms facing the lakes and the resort facing the beach across the road. The staff were amazing with the service especially Nancy. They provided complimentary food for the infant and were helpful even when we requested a slight late checkout since we had a baby on board . The pool was fairly maintained well. The kids had a fun time with activities like Fishing. One negative about the place is the Ala Carte is very pricey and I would recommend for the buffet. Overall a relaxing holiday for family!

Club Mahindra Cherai is a pretty place. One side has a lovely lake, and the other side has a cool sea-facing beach property. We got a lake-view 1-bedroom place, but, gotta be honest, the service was kinda bad. Still, the place itself is so nice. I'd rate it a solid 4.

  • 3/5 Nivedita N. 8 months ago on Google
Rooms are aesthetic, surrounding is well maintained and has a rustic charm with plenty of greenery. Service is poor. From the time we arrived it has been dissapointing - main entrance was being renovated/worked upon,no one to guide us to the alternate entrace,no help with bags, no eagerness to help a customer. TVs were not working in our rooms, we called the front desk twice but no one turned up. The intercom is not clear and it seemed they were already aware of it and didn't bother doing anything about it. Happy Hub was a sad after thought. Nothing happy about this - no board games, no staff to engage the children, just a single person trying to sell you boat rides.

I would rate this place as top locality. The service is excellent and staff are really courteous. The food is better than club mahindra Astamudi. The rooms are bit older and require maintenance. Superb service offered by the whole staff.

We hosted a 60th birthday party at Club Mahindra - what can I say the service was above and beyond. The hall was a great size and the team at the hotel helped to decorate it up. The food was incredible and the live stations were a hit. Syam was very helpful and we would definitely recommend.

Had a terrible time at Club Mahindra Cherai Beach. The rooms are really dated and in serious need of renovation. There is a very bad stench from the stagnant water in the middle of the resort. We stayed in 3 different rooms because got 1br for one day and we were told that it comes with a pool but the pool a very small and very badly maintained we ended up not getting into it. The studio rooms get so much light in from the outside lights because the door and above it is all glass which lets the lights through. We spent 3 sleepless nights. We only had breakfast buffet on all the days and ordered room service for one night. The food was decent and nothing to write about. They are poorly staffed from what I can see. Our luggage came more than 45 minutes after checkin. When you call the main number @ 9, nobody picks up nor does the manager listed whose number comes up as switched off. We had to call the house keeping to get to the main desk. Another night when we came at 10:30 to pick up the keys, there was no one at the reception desk. Overall we had a terrible stay and would never go back to this resort.

We had a recent stay at Club Mahindra Cherai. I would say amazing hospitality all the staff at Front desk was really helpful especially Silpa and Mini. Also the night duty staff at Front desk, can't able to recollect his name. All safety protocols have been taken care. The room was clean and neat. I would recommend all should try this amazing property. Special thanks to Tobby Chandy who have done all arrangements at Club Mahindra. We love you club Mahindra for wonderful memories. It's was really nice experience, have been to resort twice. Hospitality at restaurant was very good everyone was helpful. Special thanks to Mr Manirul he served us well both the times did all necessary arrangements as per our request. Front desk Shilpa and a guy in night duty I don't remember his name were very cordial and helpful. All room service house keeping staffs are the real pillar of resort they make us feel what hospitality is all about. So inviting smile they have felt really good. Overall experience was nice.

Club Mahindra Cherai is one of the best places to just relax and rejuvenate. The team consisting of James, Awasthy, Kamal, Manirul, Najeem (hearing impaired if am not mistaken),Mini, Abhijeet and Jishnu (hope I haven't missed any names) went out of their way to pamper us. Sadly the spa was closed. The property is located very next to the beach and the best part was the stay in the room facing the backwaters. My concerns were basically since the rooms are spread with lagoon style water ponds a safety net or fence so that kids don't rush in to it.The pool area unfortunately didn't have a lifeguard and no one to monitor guests who don't follow proper dress code in the pool. The food was fresh and tasty, with prompt room service. Other than this I can say if you have 3 days break in Kochi just rush to CM Cherai and enjoy.

Poor experience. Rooms are not hygiene bathroom too. Poor Services. I called for an iron box and i got it after one hour. My room was nearest to the reception. No slippers in rooms. The property is amazing but the service is very poor. Unlike other Club Mahindra Hotels they dont clean ur rooms. Even after requesting, they said that cleaning is done in alternative days. So basically for a 2 night stay you won't get room cleaning.

Found the rate to be little costly compared to the facilities provided and was charged half rate for the kid eventhough I was told it was free when I had called up the facility... Beach โ›ฑ is just in front of the resort, gives you opportunity to view the sunset from the resort itself. I was invited as part of their promotional program and that's why I couldn't make the full of the resort, but had an opportunity to find their facilities to some extent. I liked the facilities like Ayurveda massage center they provided and the swimming pool also looks good.

We have had good experience before but this time unfortunately i guess most rooms needed maintenance and we are happy to have identified many problems for them.. 3 days we were there .. We got to check 9 rooms for them.. Staff as usual very helpful and friendly .. Ambience unique and peaceful. I will highly recomend the wooden cottages if the water level in the backwater is at normal level.

Think twice if you're planning to drive to the resort during the evening when the beach is crowded. Beautiful resort facing backwaters and with access to public beach. Rooms are comfy with all basic amenities. No wifi in rooms but mobile data works fine. Well maintained Insids out. The fish selection in the buffet was disappointing especially being a place with plenty of seafood resources. The sweets compensated well for the deficiency.

Wonderful experience. Situated at one of the finest beaches in Kochi, The Cherai Beach. The beach area in front of this resort is not that much crowded. The beach is surrounded by water bodies. Inside as well they have a lot of ponds where you can find fishes and Jelly fishes. You can catch the fish and ask the chef to cook them for you. Staffs were friendly and there are a lot of activities available for kids inside the resorts itself. The 1BR cottages has big Jacuzzis which can be used by an entire family.

Great stay. Rooms were comfortable with all amenities. Aesthetic views, green gardens, ample parking, quiet and serene. They have a water body that meanders through the campus connected to the backwaters where you can go fishing (materials provided by them) and most certainly can catch kareemeen (i caught 5 in 1 hour!). Fun activity rooms are present where u can play chess, TT, billiards etc.. they have a swimming pool near the restaurant. Restaurant offers buffet and alacarte, food is reasonably good and easy on the pocket. There's also an Italian restaurant where u can try out their cuisines, it's also has a beer and wine parlour and these are the only 2 beverages u will get there. They do have an amphitheatre where they stage plays and magic shows etc however that stayed closed due to covid restrictions. For additional fun they provide a house boat trip, ayurvedic massage, trip to a local fish farm (these are extra charged). The cherai beach is 5 meters away from the entrance. Pretty clean and decent beach with average crowd. Best time to visit the beach is during sunset. Ample home stays and rooms near the resort but no stationary/provision shops.. carry shampoo with you as they don't provide. Staff at the resort are very courteous and helpful. Overall, a good quiet getaway place to chill with all amenities and excellent staff! Special shout out to Vishnu and Tiyasha :)

Stay was pleasant. Staff is courteous and well mannered. The kids play area is not at all maintained. The broken down slide is all rusted. Food is too expensive. Swiggy delivery boys are not allowed inside. Maybe it's a security concern, but it spoils the experience as one needs to walk till the gate to receive food. Some kind of construction was going on during our visit and the entire grounds was dug up, which was an ugly sight. The swimming pool was hyperchlorinated. I got a nasty sunburn after a long swim. Asked for dental kits for all 4 members, but supplied only 2.

  • 4/5 Arul Raj B. 2 years ago on Google
The resort looks old but is reasonably well maintained. Some sort of construction work was going on during our stay, which was bit of a nuisance. Main problem we faced was the exorbitant prices in the restaurant menu, for example they charge Rs.300 and an additional 23.9% tax for 1 plate of Idli/Vada. But that is expected at Club Mahindra resorts. The thing that shocked us most is that they charge Rs.64 for a bottle of mineral water. That too not only through room service, but even if we go and purchase from their restaurant. Not even sure it is legal. Otherwise pleasant stay and good ambience.

We hosted our club meeting here. Though the service by the staff was a bit disappointing, our kids enjoyed the area. With ample play area for the kids, well maintained pool and hall was big enough for a function. The food was decent.
