I don't know how they have managed to get 4 star ratings on Google but they don't even deserve 1 star before booking one should definitely go through the reviews. 1. They are scammers they show the pictures of the other half of the resorts where the rooms are much bigger and has good sea views, bath tubs ect. But when you actually go there they will give the different rooms which are quite old and antique but that's not my point if want to upgrade yourself to the sea view room they will ask for the huge amount of money which is not worth. 2. There is no security at all at the night no one is around the property to help you out if any emergency comes. 3.The pool is super unhygienic not well maintained. 4.food is pretty okie. 5.since we booked 2 rooms for 5 of us but one of our friend was sick she had to leave she barely stayed there for an hour the extra money we had paid them for extra person they didn't gave us the refund at all. 6. There is no parking available for the cars as well and they don't inform this prior. Overall very bad experience and don't recommend anyone to go there there are many good places to be.

One of the best "On the Beach" resorts I have come across in South India. Amazing and closeup view of the ocean from the deck, pool and dining. Wonderful Sunset experience. Just 10 metres from the resort compound to directly access the beach. Great staycation for families and kids. The rooms, service and the food were very good. The only thing to note is that to ask for rooms in the main resort compound area, as they also have rooms in another nearby wing called Heritage Wing, where the rooms aren't that great. Main compound rooms are more expensive than the Heritage Wing, but it's definitely worth it. Bad strategy from the administration side to keep both room qualities under the same name and the general rating is solely brought down by the Heritage Wing experience. Overall, the experience in the rooms in the main compound provide greater satisfaction and definitely recommend it.

We traveled their last year. We stayed their for couple of days. We chose the antique room with bath tub. The resort was calm and beautiful(outside) but for some reason we were not feeling secured. It looks deserted for us. The room was also not worth the money we paid. There was a column in the middle of the room. There were some sketches on the wall and a wooden cabinet that doesn't made that room antique. And the bathroom was worst, old and stained bath tub, stained mirror, uncleaned flooring and there was no phone. You need to go search for someone if you need anything. About the food, no taste, limited varieties, way too costly. The free breakfast will have 1 or 2 varieties. You cant find any good hotels nearby. The previous night we stayed at Dunes, Cochin, the quality service and the food varieties was no way comparable with this resort. I think I am adding more negative points. There is one more, the pool, not at all clean. Ok now the positive points. The upper deck, the ocean view was pleasing to the eye. If you are lucky you could see dolphins and big fish like baby whales. Dont know exactly what we saw, it was huge. And the infinity pool, apart from uncleanness, the sunset view from the pool was a chilling experience. Overall if the management make some changes to the place it will be the most beautiful stay for the guests.

Please go through this review before you book this property. Looks are deceiving....The pics and photos that the hotel is showing is very great... But the rooms are not at all clean and the service is the worst. The food they serve for breakfast is disgusting. I request everyone not to waste your money. We already wasted 11000 Rs for the sea view room.. Please stay away from these cheaters.

36 Palms Beach Resort can easily boast of having an awesome location and its proximity to the ocean. It is ideal for folks wanting to be close to nature, for writers and artists. Rooms are spacious. There is a lovely deck from where one can enjoy the ocean view. Wish the service lived up to its promise. The resort seemed understaffed. The kitchen was closed, they arranged food from a hotel near by, not something you would expect of a resort charging a fairly high price even in off season. The massage service was not available. Only the housekeeping ladies did a decent job. If the resort needed time for overhaul, they should not have taken bookings for a few days. Overall, a mixed experience. Management, take note. In today's age of social media, you shouldn't take your guests so casually.

Amazing hotel! Nice rooms, amazing sea view, friendly and helpful staff and the food was great! Couldn't have asked for more. Only thing is they don't serve alcohol, but you can find it from other places around if you want. Would definitely recommend!

I recently stayed in this lodge and it was a terrible experience. First of all, the room was extremely cramped and uncomfortable. There was barely enough space to move around in garden view rooms and the bed was so close to the wall that it was difficult to get in and out of. But the worst part was the power fluctuations. The lights would dim and flicker constantly, making it impossible to do any work or even read a book without straining my eyes. I couldn't charge my phone properly and had to keep it on low power mode all the time. The air conditioning was also affected by the power fluctuations, and it would suddenly stop working for a few minutes before starting up again at full blast. it was impossible to get a good night's sleep.

Rooms are in bad condition, totally isolated from main property, there are cockroaches in room, also please note there is no beach associated with property. Rude staff, no parking facilities. Only the name is beach resort, don't book this property look for other properties nearby.

Simply overpriced. Stayed in one of the Seaview rooms. We liked the room, the open deck and sea view, but all good things end there. The Service: Service was absolutely poor or non existent. When a customer pays premium price (10K plus) for a one night stay, it's fair on them to expect a decent level of service. First of all there's no proper channel to reach out for help, and not many staff are around for help. All we have is a mobile phone number of the receptionist who is not very keen on helping the customers. Example 1: We had asked the room boy for an dry off towel for the pool when we checked-in, which he forgot. Okay, then in the evening before we went out to pool we called up the receptionist to get us a towel. Instead of taking the extra effort to coordinate and get it done he gave us mobile phone number of a service boy who didn't bother to pick-up. Then when we called the receptionist again, he was asking us why are we calling him when he has given the service number. At the end we had to personally chase the receptionist to get the towel at last. Example 2: Once we came out of the pool, talked to the receptionist about dinner. To our surprise we were told that the hotel does not serve dinner ! Was this communicated to us beforehand- Nope ! Room: They had put a puny AC in the big super tall room which struggled to keep the room cool in afternoons. And then there's this fridge in the room which was unclean. Pool: Pool looked clean, however the water seemed like it's contaminated or was last chlorinated long time back. When guests are allowed to wear whatever they like and jump in, the pool hygiene goes for a toss. Parking: Parking is a joke with space for 3 at max.

Every aspect of our stay exceeded our expectation. We went for a casual B2B meet up and ended up with having a stay @ 36 Palms. Mr. Gautam and Laksh (The one who manages the property) are best at their hospitality. Comfortable rooms, Scenic rooftop with infinity pool - This place offers everything what a guest seeks for on their Holiday. Highly Recommended !

They will not give the rooms which they promised while booking. Rooms are like a lodge. For locking the room you will be given a key and lock. Bath tub was stained and it is atleast 15 years old.Even bedsheet was also stained. Not at all worth Rs. 7500. You have many other good choices in Cherai. I will not ever choose this again.

I was there with my family on your Panoramic view room 17.02.2023. Awesome Experiance , highly recommended for those who looking for a different experience . The room was so nice and clean , the view from the room is some thing mind relaxing… staffs are cooperating and cheerful. A small suggestion that your food should be considered seriously and must updated , becoz customer expecting more delicious taste. Even your breakfast also very simple , you mentioned it as Kerala style breakfast bust nothing was there to flavour taste of Kerala….. ( steam cake + Noolputtu + normal egg curry + normal veg curry never matching Kerala style breakfast ) Except food all other infrastructure and feel was amazing and excellent !!!!!!

Great views, friendly staff (but not all of them). Clean rooms. The food is pathetic. Don't expect kerala cuisine if you go here. They give cold food and everyday is the same food - appam, idiyappam and stew. I am not a racist, but I gotto say this - The food and room service is managed by people from the North. They need more training. They can't cook south. Besides, the food is very pricey and not wirth it at all. They're are lethargic and don't care much. I had requested for car wash. The guy washed and i had paid too. He cald me the next day over phone while am driving in the highways and demands more money. If not for the view and location, this place won't survive even for a day.

Pros The sea view and the swimming pool was on spot and cannot complain on this. watching sunset from the pool was the best part. Room Services were good and staffs were friendly. The food we ordered were good too. Cons The management need to focus and improve on many small things Tv wasn't working properly, wifi issue, for shower the water wasn't hot. It was in between cold and warm. As we pay more, the expectations will be set accordingly and a bit disappointed with these small issues.

Clean rooms, good service. But I had asked them specifically if they had a private balcony in the sea view deluxe room, n they had said “yes”. But that was not the case. The other guests were in the balcony making noise till 11:30-12 midnight. I had to go out n ask them not to make noise which was a bit rude from my side but I had to coz we couldn’t sleep. This sud have been taken care by the resort staffs. Not good for peaceful n calm vacation. The room was good but have stayed at better places in the same price range. The pool was dirty too. The stay could have been better. But wasn’t as expected.

Please avoid cherai beach... Water's dirty... Resorts are not clean... Neighborhood is dirty... 36 palms resort could have kept their rooms cleaner...food was less than ok... They take more than half hour to serve food... Breakfast was very very bad...

No other hotel or resort in cherai provides better wifi facilities. Must do things are: watch sunset from Resort and do kayaking from nearest place in cherai beach.

Great location and an awesome spot. Too bad the weather was stormy which made the waters rough. Regardless it’s a very relaxing place. The Sea View rooms are the best. Beautiful waterfront terrace… so close to the magnificent waves. Food was really good, thanks to Prince the chef. We had the entire hotel booked for a family reunion. Prince catered our lunch, tea, and dinner. Breakfast was free. The rooms are pretty spacious and some rooms had an extra bed. The staff was very accommodating, with the little ones and the elderly.

Went during last Onam for a family vacation. The place is good, good rooms and the sea facing rooms are literally so close to see. Loved the ambience. However food is really bad and service not great. Overall not worth paying 10k plus for 1 room per night!!

We had booked a sea view room of the hotel. Location was spot on with good view of the sea.. pool was also neatly kept.. even though we had booked a sea view room which is among the costliest there, AC was not working properly all night Rooms could have been cleaner and food could have been better With cost that accompanied the sea view room, service could have been better

Ideal place for families and bachelors who love quiet and scenic spots. Rooms are set up in a traditional way. The pool is so ideally placed which has a direct view to the beach. Food is okay. Overall satisfied.

It was a good decent stay in 36palms. We stayed in their King sea view room which really had a great view. Rooms were good and food was good as well. Overall the property is very small but it was good. It will be good if you choose the king sea view rooms.

Just wow… It’s a great place to stay.... Staff were friendly caring and pleasant, starting from the reception to the wifi speed at the hotel, special thanks to the IT team to solve our quires promptly. Meals are very good and delicious...Outside beach view is awesome. I highly recommend the hotel for locals and foreigners. I would probably choose 36 Palms Beach Resort next time as I have experienced warm welcomes of the staff, excellent service and pleasantness of hotel crew.

Very cramped, with residences too close to each other. One common pool that is visible and open to all residents, zero privacy.

The location was so good.. we will get a nice sea view from the first floor rooms... But we got disappointed from all other aspects... The rooms were not well maintained.. and morning we got run out of water... And the food was very very very poor... They itself said to us that the food is from some where out... I won't recommend it

Ambience is superb... Will not find any other resorts good as this one in cherai. Problem is with the owner(hindi speaking guy) who keep on saying "arey paisa de dona na, paisha"

Poor amenities, parking only for 3 cars, rooms are not secure. Buffet breakfast was a lot to laugh. Only one item for breakfast. Those who come here in future should consider this resort as a last option. Rooms are not kept clean and I was received by dead cockroaches lying on the corners of room. No one to take care except some immigrant labourers who do multitasking by cooking

When booking please make sure that you are choosing the right room to get good sea views. The property is divided into two blocks; one has garden view and the other has sea views which is not properly mentioned on the website. Their is no alcohol facilities here and as a family we ended spending more time in Sea Lagoon Hotel which is couple minutes away from the 36 palm hotel. Staff were helpful however we were neglected on the day of arrival due to our ‘heritage room’ selection. We checked in at 3 and we were told that there will be no food or drinks facility until the kitchen opens at 6 pm.

It was really a good experience. The place is very beautiful and we'll maintained. The location is fantastic. The view was mesmerizing. Staff were very helpful and kind. I think it one of the best resort in cherai.

The first thing I would like to add is about the hospitality. They were so polite, calm and extremely friendly. Second thing is about the location. It was awesome. Third the food was really really tasty and authentic. Only thing is that, It’s a bit expensive for the amenities they provide.

The only sea-view luxury resort in Cherai, all others are on the other side of the road to the beach. Amazing rooms, great food & service by the staffs. Visited this place for the second time after 5 years and I was not disappointed, highly likely that I'll visit this place again.
