Casa De Monte Vista far exceeded what I originally thought I wanted out of a hotel experience, this place is well worth your hard earned money! We felt very good about supporting a small business owner like Joe, he was very accommodating and such a joy. This visit to Palm Springs was a first for us so it was important to be close to downtown, Casa De Monte Vista is walking distance to the main strip and in a beautiful, safe neighborhood. The parking is on the street however during our two night stay we did not run into any issues with that. Upon arrival Joe gave us a lovely tour of the property, this was done after the sun went down leaving us so excited to see the property the next morning… the views of the mountains and the landscaping was just a couple of reasons we instantly fell in love with this place. It’s simply magical from the moment you turn the key to the front entrance. We enjoyed the spa till almost midnight, nice having the pool/spa available late night, full size pool towels are offered if needed. Overall a very comfortable atmosphere, we will be back!

Casa de Monte Vista is a very special place. Joe has created a peaceful oasis and the moment you step inside the gates you can feel the magic. He's such a warm, friendly, accommodating guy and will do everything he can to make sure you feel at home. The care and attention put in to every detail of this place is apparent immediately. From the exquisite gardens buzzing with hummingbirds to the antique bell tower to the colorful citrus trees covered in fruit, there isn't a spot on this property that doesn't have a story to tell. The pool is divine on a hot day and stargazing on a clear night in the hot tub is wonderful. The beds are so comfortable and I loved the decor in my casita. This property is a hidden treasure and holds a very special place in my heart. I can't wait to come back to visit again soon!

We have been coming to Casa de Monte Vista for 8yrs. Joe, our host is amazing. He always makes sure that we have everything we need. He is friendly and accommodating. Our room is always extremely clean. Everything is in good working order. The grounds are well kept and gorgeous!!! It is safe, quiet and private. The pool and hot tub are maintained and clean. Palm Canyon is a 15 min drive and Joshua Tree is an hour. Great location to downtown Palm Springs. My husband and I come every other year. We love coming here. It is not just a place to stay, but an experience. Worth every penny!!!

Casa De Monte Vista is the best place to stay in Palm Springs. Coming from a hospitality background working at 5 different luxury hotels, I do have some expectations while staying places. Casa De Monte Vista exceeded those expectations and then some.I had to move hotels late notice because there was construction going on right outside my window, and i don't feel like listening to construction and hammering on vacation. I called Casa De Monte Vista at 7pm to see if they had any available rooms and Joe welcomed us in with open arms! He even gave us a tour of the property when we got there, and the best recommendation on where to eat dinner. This hotel is a botanical private oasis. We had the pool to ourselves the entire stay! I feel so lucky that we stumbled upon this special place. Thank you Joe for your five star hospitality. We will definitely be back!

Casa De Monte Vista is a GEM! I am at a loss for words to describe this majestic, botanical wonderland. My girlfriend and I didn't even want to leave the property once we settled in, it was just so beautiful and relaxing. Very clean and private. You really have to experience this place to understand. The management, Joe was a class act. Thanks for the great recommendations Joe! I would give 100 star rating if I could. Highly recommended.

This historical and secluded property is beyond dreamy and walkable to the best restaurants and bars. The proprietor, Joe, enhanced our experience which made an already perfect stay even better. We'll never stay elsewhere and plan to be back soon!

This place is beautiful and very special. It’s completely secluded (but super close to downtown) and the property is surrounded by lush plants (think Secret Garden!). Joe the owner was so kind and welcoming. The place is clean, private, and provided a truly unique experience.

Casa de Monte Vista was the perfect place for my wife and I to have our small wedding. Every part of the property feels so special and private. The casita we stayed in was phenomenal and extremely comfortable as well. Joe was extremely kind and welcoming. He understood exactly the kind of wedding we wanted and did everything possible to help make that happen. We are so fortunate to have such a special place play such an important role in our lives and will always look forward to returning someday.

This was the venue that my daughter chose for her wedding...sight unseen, as we live in Idaho. It exceeded our expectations by a mile. The pics don't do this place justice. It's spectacular! Highly recommend as a wedding setting or just a large family vacation getaway. You won't be disappointed.

I was fortunate enough to have had such an elegant and amazing meal here prepared by season 16 Top Chef legends Eddie Konrad and Kevin Scharpf. The grounds are immaculate. Definitely an oasis in the desert. It was lush with tropical foliage, and so rich with history, boasting legends who stayed and visited, including Louis Armstrong, Bob Hope, Lucille Ball, and The Rat Pack.

Beautiful, natural oasis close to shopping and dining. The owner takes care of every detail, extremely gracious and considerate. Rooms are incredibly comfortable and well appointed. Easy to/from airport and destinations like Joshua Tree. This was a first time visit and we will return. Perfect for couples or friends getaway.

Hello. I hope you are considering a stay at Casa de Monte Vista in Palm Springs. We happened across this property while looking for an accommodation in Palm Springs that would be unique and comfortable for two adults. We are so happy we were able to stay here. Casa de Monte Vista is not a chain or corporate property. It is a privately owned property located coveniently in a beautiful historic Palm Springs neighborhood. The neighborhood also has numerous examples of the Mid Century architecture that Palm Springs is noted for. In fact, homes belonging to many of yesteryear's stars are in the area. The grounds of Casa de Monte Vista are absolutely impeccably maintained. The gardening and landscaping are lush and tropical despite the desert surroundings. The gardens even hide some private seating areas you can escape to for reading, meditation, or if you would just like a little privacy. The rooms themselves are integrated into a lovely spanish style estate. Each room had the vibe of a separate casita despite being attached to the home. The estate layout with the open air walkways, outdoor patios, red tile roof, bell gables, and exposed lumber convey a sense of history to your stay. Our host Joe was very kind and welcomed us with a tour of the property and some background on the home and surrounding area. Joe provided us with excellent recommendations and advice about the Palm Springs area. We love to walk and found the location of the property within reasonable walking distance to many excellent restaurants, bars and the Palm Springs Art Museum. We visited during spring when temperatures were warm during the day and cool but comfortable at night. Walking was very comfortable. The room we stayed in was nicely appointed and comfortable. The mattress was supportive and bedding fresh and soft. We had plenty of space for our luggage and we were able to spread out and enjoy the space. Each room is thoughtfully decorated. Our room had a lovely double french door that opened to views of the pool and grounds but also felt private. As if it weren't enough Casa de Monte Vista also has a very nice pool area, which in my opinion is an absolute must for a Plam Springs visit. The salt water pool and deck is designed for relaxation. Comfortable pool furniture, umbrellas, and towels were provided. The pool deck has great sun exposure during the day and excellent views of the mountains behind the property. We relaxed at the pool daily and marveled at the views of the surrounding mountains, the estate architecture, and the gardens on the grounds. It was very relaxing. I can not emphasize how enjoyable our stay at Monte Vista was. I feel it was an excellent and unexpected value. We had considered a stay at one of the major resorts in Palm Desert or one of the hip hotels along Palm Canyon dr in Palm Springs. We are so pleased we ultimately chose Monte Vista. I joked with our host upon our departure that we are ruined, as it will be hard to replicate the comfort and beauty of this stay. We look forward to returning.

Joe the owner went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and taken care of. The space is immaculate and staying here is a dream . What a wonderful and delightful oasis in Palm Springs. So close to all of the main street restaurants and shops yet secluded and private. Joe and the staff take care of anything you need and are always accessible but never over present. If rest and relaxation is the goal Casa de Monte Vista is a great choice for lounging by the pool, strolling the grounds or sitting on your patio. The Casa de Antigua room has a small kitchenette with enough to make simple breakfast or even dinner if you want to stay in. I look forward to returning here next time my partner and I go to Palm Springs.

We had a family weekend, elopement, and celebration at Casa de Monte Vista and it was better than we expected! The weather was hot but the lush garden and beautiful grounds made everyone feel like they were in an oasis. We had space for everyone to stay comfortably and have some privacy. Joe was a wonderful host and helped so much with event rentals, etc. which allowed us to relax and enjoy our time. The photographs from the garden are beautiful! Our celebration was perfect with the outdoor bar and space for tables, everyone was amazed with the grounds! The space allowed for everything we wanted to do at one venue which was amazing. Thank you Joe! For Brides, I just have one reco - bring some light for make up!

What a lovely little oasis. Found this property for my Mother and I to stay out while she was in town. We had such a lovely time and Joe was nothing but accommodating. We ended up having the whole property pretty much to ourselves. We'll definitely be back, and can't wait to have another restorative stay. Centrally located, thoughtfully curated design, and the most comfy beds and details. Casa de Monte Vista is sure to deliver! Such a gem. Thank you, Joe!

We traveled all over the world importing clothing and jewelry . Casa de Monte Vista is one of the best properties we have ever visited. The attention to detail is almost overwhelming. Joe , the owner has dedicated most of his adult life into building out and maintaining this tranquil oasis and his passion for the mission is palatable. A remarkable and world class property !!!

Love Casa de Monte Vista and love Joe too! He made sure we had everything we needed to make our experience perfect. This place is an oasis and very relaxing. Much thought and work goes into making Casa de Monte Vista unique with so much character. Sunrise on the rooftop is something you won't want to miss!

I hosted a large corporate evening reception at Casa de Monte Vista and had a great experience! We do lots of these events across the country and Casa de Monte Vista was by far the most gorgeous venue we've been to - the pictures do not do it justice! Throughout the planning process, Joe was so great to work with, very accommodating and responsive. We can't wait to find an excuse to do another event here!

My husband and I eloped here in March. Words cannot describe the beauty of this venue. It exceeded our expectations in every way! The property is filled with beautiful gardens and flowers, the pool and common areas were clean, serene and inviting and the casita we stayed in was spacious and had such a romantic vibe. Joe, the owner, also went above and beyond to help coordinate with our friends to organize a special treat post elopement. I highly recommend this venue for an elopement. The privacy it offered created an intimate setting and our photos are stunning! We can’t wait to return on an anniversary to relive the magic!!
