I have literally never had anything here that wasn’t amazing. Beautiful interior, amazing view of the Intracoastal, and the food… After coming for years I cannot remember a single time when I didn’t have anything that wasn’t at least “very good”. Some items are in my “best I’ve ever had” category, such as the ribs. And the sides. And the desserts. And an expansive cocktail and wine list. It is nearly impossible to go wrong here. My favorite restaurant ever and it’s good that it’s a 45 minute drive or else I’d be poor and far (but very happy). The ONLY downside is the small parking lot, but the valet parking helps with that. Run, don’t walk. Or don’t. Leaves more room for us.

First visit and great lunch at Valley Smoke. Ample seating options indoors and outside, prompt and professional service, nice daily specials, great BBQ menu, lots of house-made sauce options to try. Inventive cocktail list, amazing bourbon inventory. Highly recommend; we will return!

Overall Service and food was great. We sat outside in May and it wasn’t too hot. It was beautiful being by the water and seeing the boats pass. They were kinda skimpy on meat portions. I would have liked to have seen more for the price but hey 🤷🏾‍♀️. Drinks were great and there was usually someone coming by asking if we needed anything- so service is top of line here. I would still come back. The food did taste really good.

Although it took a little minute for the waiter to greet us, he was excellent. I think his name was Joey or John but he was kind and very knowledgeable about the products. Our food was THE BOMB. The drinks were different but lite and tasted great. The Mac and cheese was kinda tough and there wasn’t enough sweet potato purée with my shrimp but the meat was tender and falling off the bone. They didn’t have the pull pork I wanted so Joey/John recommended the ribs and they were superb. Overall the experience was amazing and I’ll definitely return again.

Great experience. We've had a reserved table ready for us upon arrival. The service was amazing, everyone was very polite and proactive. It was my mother's birthday and they've put a candle on a warm brownie with a vanilla ice cream that everyone loved it. We all started with some alligator that were served with potato and a cream. My mother and husband ordered the Salmon and my father and I ordered the Churrasco. Both dishes were so tasty and well put on the plate.

It was a hot day but our dinner on the patio was still nice. Not too hot. This place is perfect for drinks and they have an extensive appetizer menu and lots of unique snacks. The mains are your standards for BBQ in JAX but upscale. The sauces are all legit. The got your AL white if you're into that. I like the spicy triple mustard personally. The thing that stole the show though is that congaree and Penn rice cheese grits. Best grits confirmed. Highly recommend. Oh and for those that ask how much for one rib? $3.50.

Decided to dine here after a recommendation by our server at another Valley restaurant. The hostess was very friendly and helpful. We had a reservation and arrived earlier than our scheduled time, but she accommodated us quickly. Wait service at the table was a little off. We sat waiting on our server to acknowledge us for almost 10 minutes, and watched as he served the table right next to us. Then he turned around and was like “oh hi”, like we just popped up. As he left to get drinks, the couple next to us said he had just done the same thing to them. Then another server approached our table, introducing himself as our server. We explained that we had a server. When the first server came back with drinks, I asked which one would be our server. After the confusion, things got better but our server wasn’t very attentive. Maybe he was just busy….so I deducted a star due to that. We ordered the 2 for Q dinner that included 3 meats and 3 sides. The meat (pulled pork, lean brisket, and ribs) was tender and flavorful, mac and cheese was just okay and a bit dry, the collards had a nice tangy flavor but a few too many stems for me. I had the cocktail on tap, which was refreshing. Overall the place was nice, decorated well, with a spacious outdoor dining area. I would dine here again and give the wait staff another try. Forgive my pics, I forgot my camera eats first!

Got there early Sat morning. Brunch was available. Sat outside in the tented area. Very pretty view of the intercoastal with boats passing by. Wife had ribs, garlic green beans and brisket baked beans. I got the hash n eggs (brisket/cheese/onion/peppers) with 2 eggs on top. Had the choice of 6 house made sauses. Alabama white went best with my brisket. Everything was delicious and the service was very good. Too early for cocktails but above the bar is just about a hundred different bourbons.

We had a wonderful meal. Angela was fantastic ~ as was all of the staff, they were attentive, professional, cordial and very efficient. We sat outside with a lovely view of the intercoastal. The Fried Green Tomatoes appetizer was delicious with a yummy spicy pimento cheese sauce. The evening’s special was Grouper. Absolutely perfect! Thanks to Angela and Valley Smoke Restaurant for a perfect dinner and evening.

I'm going to start by saying I drove 117 miles (2 hours) one way to have dinner in this restaurant. I chose to do that because a friend asked me to come up and have dinner with her. I'm all about spontaneity and living life. So I made the trek. Before I go into detail, it was worth every mile I drove. The restaurant is beautiful and in a great location on the river. I eat out often. In the past 14 years I've averaged one meal out each week. In my life I've had three meals that were so unbelievably good they stand at the top of my list. This meal is on that list of three. I ordered the brisket with creamed corn and green beans. The other person in my party ordered the pork chops. My brisket was so tender and so flavorful I wasn't sure it was brisket because I've never had it this good. And I've had brisket by some of the top pitmasters in Central Florida. I also had the opportunity to taste the pork chop. It blew me away. I'll be ordering that the next time I drive two hours for dinner. Okay, I've covered the food. In a word, outstanding! The service was as good as the food. Whitney took great care of us. My barometer for service in any restaurant is, do I find myself wanting anything that the server has not already thought of. In this case the answer is no. Whitney anticipated my every need. Do yourself a favor, when you visit Valley Smoke, ask to be seated in Whitney's area. Great food, great service. You can't do better. I haven't even mentioned the selection of spirits. That you'll have to see to believe. Normally I close my reviews with "go try it you will love it". This time I'm going to say, if you don't get in your car and go try it tonight you're making a big mistake.

Great meal and atmosphere. The pulled pork was delicious. The beef brisket had good flavor but not quite as moist as I would have liked. Great service! Six different sauces available and they were all tasty. Definitely a must try if you’re looking for good barbecue.

Our first time coming here, but won't be our last! Food was very good, service was quick and attentive. I got the two item BBQ plate with ribs and smoked turkey breast, Creamed spinach on the side. Wife got the brisket plate, kids got burgers. No complaints from anyone! Get here early, self parking is almost non-existent, they do have a free valet though. The place fills up quick though. We got in at 545, with a reservation, and that'll probably be my game plan in the future.

Upscale BBQ joint. If you want a table make sure to make a reservation, very popular location. Overall the food was very average, but also fairly priced. The brisket was pretty good but the smoked turkey and the sides were lacking in flavor for what I expected. The atmosphere is nice , they have a large outside dining area as well. Large bar with a decent selection of liquor and wine.

Perhaps the best barbecue I’ve eaten in my life! From the start of the experience with complimentary valet parking (thanks Theo) to host offering outdoor or indoor seating (we sat outside), to the service by JP, Valley Smoke was quality was top notch. Fun atmosphere on the water. Now let’s talk about the food. Wow! So many great options but I will focus on the smoked burrata, the best I’ve ever eaten! Next, the meats are all sensational but I will highlight the ribs. Tender and solid portions! Compliment the ribs or brisket with any or all of the six sauces and you’ll be in BBQ heaven. The baked beans and the corn bread was equally delicious. We will be back again!

Wonderful meal and surprisingly great value for money. We sat outside on the patio which is a serene spot to watch the boats go by. It started raining while we were there and the staff moved us immediately to a location inside, no issues. Great service.

I finally had the chance to try Valley Smoke, and I was not disappointed. I had the chicken wing appetizer with the house buttermilk blue cheese dip. The wings and sauce are amazing! Honestly... this should be a main course option. So good. For the main, I had the brisket with fries and broccoli. The brisket was very tasty and perfectly tender, but it was a little drier than expected. I think my pieces were off the flat, and I'll specify next time for some cuts of the point. Still, a bit dry doesn't matter that much in the face of so much great flavor, and I'll be back again soon. I strongly recommend you try this place!

Lots of options, beautiful ambiance for outdoor dining and an amazing bourbon selection! We had a lovely time, until the mosquitoes came out! My only major complaint was the starter short rib dish- it was super fatty and the popcorn on top was random and mushy on my plate. We ordered ribs, cornbread, deviled eggs, Brunswick stew (a bit on the salty side) and Ceasar salad (which btw is served like one long charred romaine heart- unconventional which was cool presentation, but not super amazing in flavor) and a slice hummingbird cake. The food left a bit to be desired, but the outdoor seating made up for it.
