Military-Museum Castle. It is completely free, and you can park right there without any problem. As soon as you cross the entrance doors you see the old cannons. It is a must-see for military history lovers. It is very well preserved and from the walls you can see the entire Mediterranean. Inside there are several rooms with exhibitions of knives, uniforms and other items.

Interesting military history. Nicely laid out, room by room. Good cafe serving drinks, ice-cream and snacks. Amazing view. WC available. Don't do the dotted line walk it doesn't go anywhere. We walked from Palma, but you have to go all the way round the working military base. It's not for the faint hearted. Definitely worth a visit.

This former fortress has been converted into a military museum. Several rooms show weapons and other military equipment from different time periods. From the top of the fortress, you get a great view of the harbor and the city of Palma. Entry is free. There is a cafe and a snack stand on site.

Not sure how to reach this Fort-museum if you do not have an own car but the place is really worth a visit if you military history minded and would like to enjoy the great views of the bay from its rampants. The old XVII century harbor fort houses several interesting weapon collections, local history and artillery pieces. All placed in ten separated exhibits you can easily navigate from one to another. A small cafeteria under a XIX Century gun battery leaves also space for some refreshment. Interesting enough, the fort also has many artillery remains from several coastal batteries that used to dot the Mallorca coastline this century but have long since taken down. This military museum and Fort is situated with beautiful views of Palma Bay and is close to where the Liners dock. The museum is only small and in individual areas of the Fort.It is worth climbing to the top of the Fort to see the views towards Palma and its Cathedral you can also see the other way towards Cala Mayor and San Agustin. There is a small cafe and in the grounds are very old cannons. This Fort is free to visit but do check before you visit as it is not open every day.

History museum undervalued or poorly advertised, due to the small number of attendees, very well maintained. Everything in perfect condition and well detailed. Perhaps for these hot days we miss the canteen being open.

The completely free military museum allows you to learn about the modern military history of the island, the diversity and gradual change of weapons, and the changes from cold weapons to hot weapons. If you have nothing to do, you can come here for a visit.
