A beautiful Cathedral and well worth a visit. But save yourself €4 and don’t bother with the audio guide. I never get these and prefer to just wander around, but my wife got them. Audio quality is fine, but an hour later and I’m still looking for the effin’ bell tower it tells you about at the start and mentions over and over again. Some good info on it you might not otherwise read though. Rant over, come and see this beautiful building, it really is worth a visit. 😎

The Cathedral just dominates everything around it overlooking the moat, the park and then out to sea. It's just huge and it takes a lot of steps to see it all. When you've scaled the steps to the top you can then meander yourself around the walls and then down into the old town. When you find the main door into the cloister's it will cost you 10 euro to go inside. Its truly amazing.

Huge, really huge cathedral with beautifully decorated Altar and nave. They do have a paid entry to the top of cathedral from where you get a very beautiful 360 degree view. But if you have knee problem, then please avoid because the stair case is very narrow and steep. But the views from the top are too good to be missed. It is worth all the effort you will put to reach there.

First the actual building is phenomenal. Such a beautiful building with its entirety of characters and strong features, surrounded by the fortified walls and cannons, over looking Palma seafront. Inside is as grand as expected, from the gold guilding, the marbled floors and walls, to the heavily artistic tombs, crypts and pictures laid about the Cathedral. It's a picturesque collection of art, religious artifacts and history all within the impressive stone walls. The admin however to enter is less than delightful, it's a QR code to pay through the main door at £18 for 2 adults less balcony viewings. However the QR code is intermittent at best, and once through can take up to 30 mins for receipt of tickets. We got sent to the main front desk 300m away then back to main door 2x as each "aide" said it was the others area to solve. Finally sorted when a manager listened and saw our confirmation text even though no tickets had come through. Over 20 people had this issue about us. There is no facilities less toilets( it's a cathedral not a mall) however 1 small shop on exit for the gifts for the visit.

Magnificent cathedral. Absolutely zero doubt that this is one of the most impressive cathedrals I have ever seen in my life, what a total pleasure and privilege. The colorful mosaics, the architecture inside and outside, its breathtaking the entire time. Definitely worth the few euro to enter, gothic and stunning.

We booked out tickets through the official website and had such an amazing experience. The price is very reasonable and the cathedral is breath taking. The stained glass window is wonderful and a peaceful place to come to reflect and be with your thoughts. There is so much history to read and take in. Make sure to take the opportunity to walk along the terrace to see the fantastic views of Palma and its Port. There is almost 150 steps to the top through a narrow winding staircase, so be sure to wear proper shoes. Toilets are available inside the cathedral as well.

Undoubtedly one of the most beautiful cathedrals I have ever seen. The architecture is stunning and the whole place has such a huge and gorgeous footprint. The altar & the chapels are beautiful and the entire air inside feels very calming. The sea is in the front and the view of the cathedral from the sea and the front yard is just mesmerising. It costs around €8/person to visit the cathedral from inside...but it is totally worth it. Highly recommended.

Purchase tickets prior to going so you can skip the line. This is a beautiful Cathedral, you'd want to visit while in Majorca. I got a little emotional with how beautiful it was. The sun shines in and makes the floor looks like a kaleidoscope of color. Don't miss it if you're in town.

Absolutely amazing cathedral to visit in Palma. The architecture is astounding both inside and out. The cathedral sits in the centre of Palma, located just down from the main street. Unlike a lot of religious buildings you can actually see the whole of the inside. There are some beautiful murals and the stained glass windows are incredible. Off to the sides are small chapels dedicated to various church figures and disciples. Some took my breath away. For a small fee you can go up onto the roof and look out across Palma. Attached to the side of the cathedral is a small museum with various religious artifacts. This is included in the price of the ticket. It's well worth a visit to see as some of the artifacts are beautifully constructed. Overall well worth the money spent and definitely a sight that needs seeing if your visiting Palma for the day.

Absolutely stunning architecture, gardens, and sights to see. When walking off the shuttle bus you are greeted by this amazing building and it's surrounding gardens. There were a variety of market stalls, entertainers, gardens, buildings, and just all around amazing bits to explore. It naturally gets busy but is very much worth the visit.

Went for an evening walk around here. The place is huge and you can walk the full exterior. You could go inside during opening hours and I assume for a small fee. There is a small play park near the entrance for children. Great place for a photograph and there is a huge pay to park carpark

Definitely a must visit if you come to Palma on Mallorca. This beautifully crafted building is awe-inspiring. Take your time to absorb the atmosphere and the amazing level of the detail. I can definitely recommend visiting the terraces too. Not only do they give you a different look at the building, but you get an amazing view of the city too. I recommend ordering some tickets online, we were inside after only 5 minutes ✌️

I paid the 20 euros price to get entry and access to the galleries, which seeing the queues outside i was glad i did as we went straight through and into the cathedral. It seems so much bigger inside than it looks from the outside even though from outside it appears massive, once you step inside it seems to reach epic proportions. The way up to the galleries is on a very narrow steep spiral staircase of around 160 steps which are really not suitable for anyone with any difficulties in mobility, the views from atop the cathedral over the city and the harbour are stunning, as is the view towards the mountains and Bellver castle. Once back on the ground the walk around the cathedral's many chapels is a walk back in time to a period when christianity was at its peak and money was no object to devotion, the amount of time and money spent on these chapels is incredible. However the one chapel which stands out the most is the newest one by Miquel Barcelo, it looks completely different to all the other sin the cathedral but it is this difference which makes it so impressive

This is a must see if you visit Mallorca. I have been here many times and every time I come here I am amazed of this building and the views of the ocean and city from there. I really recommend anyone to visit this place if you get the opportunity.

Stunning building and surroundings. Even if you don’t go inside, there are so many interesting nooks and crannies to explore. Lively chilled atmosphere around the area. A local snogging spot in the evening!

Huge cathedral this amazing feeling inside from both historic and architectural perspective. Highly recommend to visit if you are in Majorca. Try to do it on in the middle of the July day as we did as many steps to get there and get too hot. Otherwise, you can take your time and enjoy every piece of this beautiful cathedral while sitting on a bench in a cool environment.

Beautiful place! It's from the gothic architecture age and it's built initially under the famous aragon family. At some point the famous artist gaudi was invited for some art projects inside the catedral, some people also call it ' La seu'

It's a big cathedral that has had a lot of money put into it. Dress code is strict if you buy tickets at the gate, my wife couldn't get in because her shoulders were showing, but I walked in and saw daisy dukes, halter top and mid drift showing. My wife later said all those going through the online ticket lines had no issues getting in. So on hot days dress proper even though God made us naked.

It is a beautiful place. The “vitrales” in the windows are amazing. In the morning one can see how the interior of the cathedral gets colored by the light coming from the windows. There is also a museum with relics and other historical objects.

The Cathedral of Santa Maria de Palma, or "La Seu Catedral", is one of the largest Gothic religious buildings in Europe. Like many other churches in the Iberian peninsula, La Seu was built on a site of a mosque (The mosque itself was built on a Roman citadel). It boasts 87 rose-shaped stained-glass windows. The bell towers contain 9 bells, the largest weighing 2 tons. The construction of the cathedral started in the 11th century and lasted 600 hundred years to reach the final shape we see today. Across the pond there is an underground parking, and restrooms. The artificial pond is part of a spacious space called Sea Garden with lots of palm trees and many sitting benches. Some art objects can be found around the Sea Garden.

The most beautiful cathedral I have visited in my life. The way the light passes through the colorful mosaics and creates colorful shadows on the walls and floors is just magnificent. The architecture of the building is crazy both from the inside and outside. Definitely worth your time, money & attention.

La Seu, the Cathedral-Basilica of Santa Maria of Palma, is an absolute marvel in Mallorca. The Gothic architecture is awe-inspiring, with intricate details and a serene ambiance that invites contemplation. The sheer scale and beauty of the cathedral, combined with its historical significance, make it a must-visit landmark. The interior, adorned with magnificent stained glass, adds a spiritual and artistic dimension to the experience. The location, overlooking the Mediterranean, enhances the cathedral's allure. Whether you're interested in history, architecture, or seeking a moment of tranquility, La Seu is an iconic symbol of Mallorca's cultural heritage.

This is a wonderful, tall building.. 1st class..The stained glass windows are magnificent and the mobile phone, doesn't do the pictures justice.. so much to see.. The altar is spectacular and the wooden carvings too... It's a must visit.. There's also the Cathedral shop, when you exit the Cathedral... very popular and very busy.... We were lucky to get a tour guide, so went straight in, otherwise, you have to wait in the queue..

Whatever your plans are while getting at the cathedral, you must, must enter the cathedral, and most of all, go up on the terrace and enjoy the view - It's totally worth it! 🤩 We where hesitating first, but once we got there, we realized how much we would have missed. There are 144 stairs to climb, but the tour is really well organized - the staff allows people to visit the terrace based on a well prepared schedule, at fixed hours - each 30 minutes (or so).

Great visit, would definitely recommend adding on the terraces visit. Not too big a Cathedral. Some great side rooms/niches. Loved the kaleidoscope style Rose windows.

Ascend several flights of stone staircases to various levels of this magnificent cathedral/fortress and admire the Ibiza coastline and city. Along the way explore nooks and alleyways to experience the history. We weren't able to go in, but it was still amazing.

I went to watch the 2 times-year-show. 7:30am gate is open but a long queue was made before. The sky must be fully open otherwise the sun cannot go through the glass and show the colours at the opposite side of the cathedral. The entrance was for free that day

This amazing and traditional Catholic church welcomes all to its holy areas throughout the structure. It’s illuminating light is a holy light show that feels like spiritual awakenings and or as if you have time warped to another place. The moments of silence may seem as if time has stood still just for you and you are one with the world. You may encounter a friendly sword fight with one of the locals.

Absolutely beautiful! One of the best looking cathedrals in Europe most definitely. I’d definitely recommend you to go to this place. But i’d be careful about the parking because it can get expensive and hard to get to because it could be full in the day. But besides all that, a place I’d definitely recommend you to go to.

From the outside view from the beach it's glorious. Pity that the main entrance is so close to other buildings that it loses all its majesty.

  • 5/5 Gregg C. 6 months ago on Google
Impressive views from the terrace, quite a few narrow spiralling stairs to get there. Really helpful staff, I was early and they helped me go in without a wait. Thanks! The audio guide really brought the various parts of the cathedral to life, so I’d recommend.

Very beautiful Cathedral in the capital city close by to the sea. Can only recommend to spend some time here and walk around. There is an inner parking spot (paid) right next to the main road which is worth using.

An impressive cathedral with fair admission prices. Definitely worth a visit. You can spend ages marvelling at all the paintings and stained glass windows. A truly remarkable piece of architecture that is a mix of Gothic, late Renaissance and Baroque! Make sure the sun shines brightly so the entire cathedral is bathed in a colourful play of light.

Without doubt, greatest cathedral I've ever seen. It's so beautiful and monstrous that it takes your breath away. Make sure to enjoy it from the outside but also buy ticket for inside.

Early autumn evening. The weather is abit cool. There was a nice live music. Worth to forget tiresum travel of the day. Sneaking to the town quietly from narrow roads around feels amazing.

This cathedral is beautiful and amazing. The entrance is 9 euro for cathedral and museum and 20 eyes if you also wanna visit terrace. The view from the top is amazing. You can view entire city. There is also Gaudí architecture in cathedral. Very touristic and main place to visit in Palma de Mallorca.

I used to spend art history at 8am during college, wandering how truly majestic this church really was, and nothing prepared me for how truly inspiring this place is. Keep in mind two things before visiting: it's hot as balls and there isn't an ac. Other than that, magical.

There really aren’t sufficient words to describe the true absolute majesty of ‘La Seu’, the Gothic Roman Catholic Cathedral located in Palma, Majorca. Worthy to note, if you possibly can then visit ‘out of holiday Season’. We were there in February Two merits, it’s quiet and the ambient temperature of circa 15C-20C (with sunshine ☀️ and blue sky) enables comfortable walking around the wonderful city.

  • 5/5 M P. 10 months ago on Google
We booked our tickets through getyourguide so we can enter very quickly. The cathedral is absolutely stunning, the most beautiful stained windows I've ever seen! Very worth it even if the entrance ticket is slightly overpriced. We were there on a Tuesday so there weren't that many people inside the church so you could really enjoy it. The gift shop of the cathedral had some very nice items as well.

It is a must to visit the cathedral when coming to Palma. Beautiful, peaceful, and interesting visit. The ideal is to visit out of the high season to avoid queuing for hours. In December you can enjoy as well the Christmas decorations and nativity scene. Entrance 9€. I would recommend to take the audio guide for 4€ per person, available in many languages. Two dates to remember, 2 February and 11 November for the sunlight effect coming through the colorful cathedral windows.

  • 5/5 Phil B. 1 year ago on Google
This place is stunning. The architecture and everything it stands for. It's a huge building and I never get bored of looking at it. Just remember, people go here to pray and worship. Please be mindful of this and respect their religion and beliefs. It's right on the seafront and in the city, so there's plenty to see and do. There is also lots of street traders selling handbags and trinkets. They are ok, they don't bother you. If you are in Palma, this has to be top of your list.

I visited in Oct mid week and weather was quite warm. Cathedral has underground car park as well. Reasonable price. Get entrance for Cathedral ticket via online. It’s worth going there and you can explore around area by walk as well

  • 5/5 Malika M. 1 year ago on Google
Amazing and breathtakingly beautiful cathedral. Be prepared to wait in a line to be admitted in high seasons. Audio guides available in many languages but sometimes confusing as it doesn't seem to follow the route. Be warned that if you go to the terasse it's quite a climb, not good for claustrophobic people or those who are not fit. Otherwise, worth a climb as you see beautiful views from the top of the cathedral. Must visit, do some research before visiting.

Pretty awesome place to visit. We only were on the outside looking in but just the amazing design of this building is something to see. We’ll be back tomorrow and hopefully see inside. Thought when you walk up to it, it was just a Cathedral but it’s connected to the town which means it not guarded by stone walls.

  • 4/5 Tom R. 1 year ago on Google
Main attraction in Palma. Recommend buying the combination ticket which includes access to the terraces, as you get great views of Palma from the top. Be warned the roof terrace is only accessible via a narrow spiral staircase with many stairs to the top, so not suitable for those with limited mobility. It’s also exposed at the top so gets hot on a summers day - but super worth it. The main cathedral is what you would expect for these types of buildings. The stain glass windows are a highlight.

  • 5/5 Laura H. 2 years ago on Google
Absolutely breathtaking view. I just sat down and enjoyed the view for a couple of minutes. However, I did not look for restaurants or coffee shops nearby, so I can't speak on that which I imagine lots of tourists would pop by after visiting the cathedral. I was in a hurry, so I didn't need any of those. There were some "moving sellers' such as painters or selfie stick sellers, 1Euro jewellery..ect. ***The pictures I uploaded are from the area around the actual cathedral***.

  • 5/5 Alexandra B. 1 year ago on Google
We loved visiting the Cathedral! The staff had good English and were very helpful. We saw some beautiful artefacts and loved touring the museum before we entered the main cathedral. It was very special and we highly recommend if you’re visiting Palma.

  • 4/5 Alev B. 1 year ago on Google
Easy, well organized entrance. More beautiful and admirable from outside than inside. Anyway it's a must visit when in Palma. There is a student discount, so don't forget to ask for it.

Mallorca isn't just about the beaches! It is about festivals as well. Nit de Foc (Night of Fire) celebrated on the eve of Saint John Feast brings to life the many of the island's cities and villages. Colourful parties take place all across Mallorca. Once the sun sets, demons come out to the streets with their fire and light show, accompanied by people dancing to the beat of drums and flutes. The entire town is transformed into one real hell show.
