This use to be a nice park but the surface has degenerated till its become dangerous & ,I fell trying to run there. It escapes me but emaya has spent millions doing up pere gerau, but won't spend a penny on its showpiece park. No shade so in summer it's like the sahara

Parc de la Mar is situated in the oldest part of Palma de Mallorca, between the Mediterranean Sea and the ancient wall near the main Palma Cathedral. Enjoy walking along the expansive plaza, on the pathways that lead to a stand of beautiful trees, grass areas to play and rest, a large children’s playground, and stroll along The Maritimo that parallels the Sea. Take a picnic or chose a bench to sit on and take in the ambiance of the ancient cathedral and the Sea.

As a child I've always heard of the history of church and especially the catholic church. Never I thought something this big could be built with only human muscle and ingenuity. If you're ever in Palma it's one of the various must-see places. I totally recommend just staring at it from afar.

Beautiful place for a walk any time of day, absolutely spectacular scenery. You'll be the envy of all your friends if you post your pictures here. A breathtaking blend of Gothic architecture in the cathedral, a lovely lake with a huge fountain, great gardens... Plenty of space, right opposite the coolest seafront promenade!!!
