Everything from booking to the dining experience was a top notch. We could literally lick the plates and my son was a chef in the past in a French Italian restaurant in Tauranga when we used to live there said he used to have his coffee made by his boss exactly the same as we had in Nero. The combination of flavours and the presentation is worth every sing le penny you spent. And the atmosphere, service beautiful tables, walls seats. Everything you just have to experience for yourself. We lived it and will be there again. Wish I thought about giving a tip. So apologies for that we will be back and I promise to remember this next time.

This is fine dinning and recommended for occasions only.. Went with a friend. And had 2 cocktails which were not worth it and avoid. Don’t think this is their speciality. Had their local selection which was very nice. The drinks bill was about 100$. Had entree as cappacio and this was so good tht we ordered another one. 23$ each. Angus beef fillet 45$ . This was very nice and delightfully soft. Also had their seafood special which was gurnard and left a little to be desired. 40$ I think it was. Duck fried potatoes were ok. 8$ I think For desserts had tiramisu and cream brûlée 30$. Approx each. They were very good and certainly recommended. Overal bil wth drinks was 290$ for 2 ppl

Great service and the food was amazing! Pork belly was succulent and delicious. Lamb rack was done to perfection and the desserts were a slice of heaven. Chocolate Crémeux and the special for the night, poached rhubarb with caramel mousse, ginger snap and Gelato. Pure bliss.

We went there for a birthday dinner. The staff were friendly, professional with a great sense of banter. I had the duck pate as an entree and it was full of favour. We had the lamb and chicken for the mains. Beautifully presented and tasted just so good. All in all a great dining experience.

Had a wonderful dinner out for my graduation. The staff went above and beyond to make sure that I had an enjoyable evening. They are one of very few restaurants that can cook lamb beautifully. The prawn dumplings for entree were delicious. The lamb as mentioned earlier for main was cooked to perfection. The Tiramisu for dessert was amazing and the right portion. Their specialty coffees on the dessert menu are highly recommended. Thank you for a highly enjoyable evening. We will definitely return.

Disappointed with the food, risotto was too soupy( two diners had two different consistency), was served pork when asked for a vegetarian option (was quickly rectified which we appreciated), lamb cutlets were meduim raw when asked for well done. Went with high expectations but didnt deliver. Please add more vegetarian friendly options on your menu.

Service was tops. Food was absolutely delicious no doubt about it. Perfectly cooked beef and lamb. The only problem was that we left a bit on the hungry side. We only ordered mains and sides (main $45+, sides $12) but felt a few more veges wouldn't have gone amiss.

They can host private parties. Our waitress was really lovely and provided great customer services.

We went here for the first time for our 18th wedding anniversary. It has a cozy, intimate atmosphere and was lovely and warm on a cold evening. Our food was divine and the service was friendly but also highly professional. We loved our evening at Nero.

The most divine food and ambience, the wait staff and hostess were lovely and very welcoming. Will definitely be going back there. Another great dining experience. Love it here.

This restaurant is second to none. Consistently wows us. Why eat anywhere else when divine food and exceptional consistency is always at Nero in Palmerston North. Well worth the drive EVERY time!

Amazing friendly & knowledgable server. Highly recommend the Baileys & Caramel cheesecake which was divine with lots of elements that all tied in well. Passion for food is obvious and the techniques were flawless. Atmosphere was lovely but marked down a little just because our table was directly under the brightest light in the place and some diners near us were quite rude and abrupt to their server which she handled well but it was still somewhat disruptive.

I inquired about a last minute booking on Valentine’s Day and was fortunate enough to land a table. They were full but were able to accommodate us. The hostess was very sweet and made the evening special for us. The service was wonderful and the food was vibrant and delicious. Thank you again for taken such great care of us!

My wife and I dined here on a night away from the kids. I think of myself as a little bit of a foodie people tell me I make nice food at least. I grew up with an auntie who won many awards at cafes and was quite used to her food but Nero’s was amazing. My wife wants to go back to Palmerston North just to dine here again

Food looked good. The venison I had was outstanding. Wine list is good. Beer choice OK. Staff really good. Friendly and efficient. Place has a welcoming feel.

Delicious food overall. Great service and I like how they treat all of the guest with a compulsory appetiser. Personally I think it is the best fine dining restaurant in Palmy. I think Nero have positioned their price well with their high quality dish. I would like to see if Nero plans on coming up with seasonal menu as their next step.

If you are after service which you can compare with a 5 star restaurant, then you should visit this restaurant. Had our family over from Tauranga and they loved it, our server Jazz was amazing 👌

Had heard great things, so travelled from Wellington just to have dinner here and see what it was like. Not only was the food absolutely fabulous, the service was fantastic as well. The service was friendly, and the right balance between attentive but not intrusive.

Neros is excellence. From the food to the service it was absolute perfection. Our waitress Yvette was very knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. The restaurant was very relaxed and we were made to feel welcome as soon as we walked in. The food was amazing.... the Amuse Buse on the house were delicious. We had the pork and the steak. Both were amazing and the meat was cooked to perfection. The desserts were also amazing. We had the sticky date, ice cream and sherry and chocolate parfait. All meals were perfect portions. All were amazing. I definitely recommend coming to Neros...... you won't regret it.

Great variety on the menu and simply devine food. The staff are friendly and accommodating and the restaurant itself has great ambience. I had three courses and all were a very appropriate size, which was a refreshing change from the oversized portions of many other restaurants.

Great food and service but..... we were asked to come earlier to allow others dinners following us. Then we had to have dessert in the bar. Others guests were coming in and we heard lots of comments re tables not being ready. Its a growing trend and I'm not a fan of being rushed.
