๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ Took 7 months to find some quality fish and chips here in Palmy. Had a recommendation to give these guys a go and I have not been disappointed. The seafood selection is amazing. You can get fresh, frozen and cooked. The cooked food is served beautifully and portions of chips are by far the best I've... You can get fresh, frozen and cooked. The cooked food is served beautifully and portions of chips are by far the best I've come across yet in Palmy. The establishment is super clean and the staff on my visits have been really lovely. Very impressed.

So so so so good. We came for the night to palmy and felt like some delicious kai and boy we found it at mr seafood takeaways. Frybread are fat fluffy and delicious and bonus they sell real butter and golden syrup to go with. You can choose your fish fresh and get it crumbed or battered. 3 types of chips and we went with beer battered. Originally came in for some battered oysters and was delivered the news they had none atm. But no harm because the raw fish definately made up for it. They make their own hotdogs which remind me of my childhood. Great to see a shop that is whanau led. This will most definately be our new seafood shop in palmy. Thank you whanau we loved the kai and even better the customer service was so friendly and polite it made me feel like whanau. also finished with chocolate mousse made in shop. Dont change anything whanau and dont give your frybread recipe away its Gold. Nga mihi whanau.

I went in last night wanting to get creamed paua which was sold out so I ended up getting seafood chowder along with about $40 worth of fish and chips for my partner and the kids then got half way back to ashhurst to find there was no chowder tried ringing but the line was busy for a whole half an hour. Pretty disappointing

I haven't been to Mr Seafood on Main St before, and my first impression was it was very clean. The food cabinet contained fresh fish, seafood sides, and dessert options. Our meal was nicely presented and hot, the fish on one tray, the chips on the other along with the extras. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Courteous and friendly service, which was appreciated.

Best fish & chips Iโ€™ve tasted so far! Freshest fish, oyster cooked to perfection, the paua burger is just too good and the chunky chip special is loaded!

Been coming to Mr Seafood since they were next to Stihl Mowers now they have moved to south Main St, there current location is a worry, reflects on the quality of their product, "doesn't taste very nice"?

YUCK - Waste of money The store relocated, just wondering if they have new owners ? Something definetly didnโ€™t taste right. Today I picked up two raw fish and a marinated mussel punnet. The fish was all mushy and the mussles were shriveled and far too chewy- definetly not what Iโ€™ve received in the past. Highly disappointing if anyone is after decent raw fish Iโ€™d stick to the hungry horse cafe on Botanical - A lot cheaper too

Nice. I think they gave us an extra fish or so, the fish are smaller ...like half a womans hand lengthwise little smaller, maybe pink and ringman finger to the end of palm wide and long. maybe that's why the extra fish. We had a trifle too, that was nice, ok. But quite expensive for us $50 bucks. The paua fritters were too salty it kiiled any taste of paua unfortunately, that was a fail. Muscles were small and chewy, frozen not fresh. Garlic chips were nice.

best fish and chips shop in Palmerston north. Fish is ALWAYS fresh. Seafood bar - offering paua, oyster, shrimp seafood salads. Choice of battered or crumbed. I always order seafood basket - 2 battered mussels, oysters, paua bites, fish bites, crabmeat. Great French fries or chunky fries. Can order with loaded - bacon and cheese. Side pottles of sauces. Fried Bread - get in early cause it's plump and fluffy and all gone by 7pm. Closes 7.30pm. Tables for sit down and window seating.

Excellent food! Got to be in the top 3 best in PTown. All my family come to them and only them four fresh fish and chips and more.

Used to be nice, but don't think the oil in the deep fryer is being changed as often now that oil is expensive. Last two times fish and chips have tasted like old oil so I've found some where else.

I always get the fish of the day, which this time was Terakihi. Very nice. They always supply lemon wedges which are nice and juicy to squeeze onto your fish. However they don't take credit card, only EFTPOS or cash, got caught out with only my credit card with me and to go back home to fetch my EFTPOS card

Haven't been here in years but still tastes as good! The raw fish will always be a favourite for me, I remember getting it every now and then with mum and dad as a kid from the Awapuni Sunday markets. Staff are lovely and friendly. Freshest fish around
