A review cannot possibly convey how great this place is. Whether you are age 6 or 60, Professor Julio commits a level of patience and attention to detail to each and every student, helping them find their individual strengths. The sport of jiujitsu can appear very intimidating at first glance, Professor Julio along with the coaches and students have developed an atmosphere which is both friendly and light-hearted. I live no where near Palmetto Bay, but make the drive due to the quality of instruction and the welcoming environment , nobody is a stranger here. Highly recommended! Pizza place next door isnt bad either!

Fantastic place to train, detail oriented instruction from professor Julio and the coaches. Competitive but yet very friendly atmosphere making it a safe training environment. Multiple classes throughout the day with a beginners class at night, offering flexibility for everyone.

Professor Julio is a simply amazing. He’s professional, patient, dedicated and truly loves what he does. The second you walk into Gracie Barra Palmetto Bay you are greeted like family. My son joined in March and is absolutely loving it. He’s eager to get to class on time and see all his jiu jitsu friends! My daughter wanted to join too. I am proud to say that we are part of Gracie Barra Palmetto Bay’s family. Best decision ever!

Coach Julio is an extraordinary professional and teacher. He goes above and beyond for his student in every single class. My son have been in the Gracie barra for more than one year and we had saw results in every aspect of my little one. His attention and performance in the school had improved tremendously taking him as one of the best student in class. Coach Julio have taught discipline, patient, attention and not even mentioned physical condition. This was one of the best decision we made for our little one . In addition, it’s such family and welcome environment. We have build friendship for lives. We wish the Best for Gracie barra and coach Julio.

Great from day one. My daughter not only has not tapped out of going to these classes, but she looks forward to them. She practices at home and it has given her even more confidence and discipline. Would absolutely recommend.

Profesor Julio is special with the kids, patient and dedicated. Coach Bruno is outstanding with the kids and I only wish I had found them sooner! Kristina is super friendly and will take the time to explain everything you need to get started.

We absolutely love everything about this location. We were looking for a place that would keep two teenage boys entertained (enough to get them to step away from their video games). We didn't know how they would feel about it, but class has become a "can't miss" situation in our household. Professor Julio is the best - he is so patient and dedicated with all ages. He engages with all of the students and helps them understand the how and why. We joked that he should post YouTube videos - he's that detailed and likeable! He does not shame students, and encourages the beginners in an encouraging way. What we love most is that he has created a safe space - the students help each other, and work together to develop their technique. Can't say enough great things about Professor Julio and the classes. He has created a safe space for people to come together and learn (and sweat).
