It the people's dock next to Deering estate. Thought we could access the estate grounds from here but, it was closed. I was told that admission is free on Saterdays but, given the source who told me this, you will want to fact check it before you go. The dock is a simple concrete dock with a floating wooden lauch next to it. The water here is thick with grass, tidal debris and a gator or 2. This may not be the best place to put in a canoe or kayak. You will have to park at the top of the hill and walk down maybe 100 yards to the water. Your car is likely safe here. Except for the occasional potheads who come here to chill. it's generally nice and calm.

It was an honor to work at the Deering Estate! It’s an absolutely breathtaking property that can accommodate the most intimate wedding to large corporation events. Finding spots to photograph in the park is too easy. We enjoy exploring the grounds looking for the perfect area to photograph our couples. This property has the best of both worlds: woodland areas and an ocean view. What more could we ask for? Another benefit to this venue is that it’s only a few miles down the road from beautiful churches and Synagogues. Deering Estate has our ultimate stamp of approval!

Really nice place to visit, the forest paths are really nice and the houses look very nice from the outside too.

Very relaxing Ocean View location...you can take great pictures here during sunrise or sunset hours, the parking is free, it is also a good place for fishing, or meditate. Sometimes, there is an unpleasant smell, but is just the water bording the mangroves, when you walk closer to the ocean it gets better. Unfortunately, hurricane Irma damaged a very rustic/small peer it used to be there.

Love this place. Not really hidden but not crowded. So much history about the man and so many other stories in addition on this property and the haunted building on the side.

The second time I went to the people's dock was the most beautiful one. The sea melted with the sky, it was very calm and quiet. Beautiful.

Lovely hidden getaway where you can sit by the water outside the Deering Estate (for free). Stone benches and two picnic tables (a little shade). Pet friendly. Floating dock where you could launch a kayak or fish. Bike friendly path. Shallow water. Sign posted saying watch out for crocodiles. Nearby visitor's center has bathrooms and free parking during business hours.

People are allowed to fish and they take all the space and leave the area dirty and full of bait

Super quiet place to rest your mind. The views and the calm that you breathe take you away from the daily noise of the city. Children enjoy the ride and there is the possibility for fishing lovers to try their luck.

The dock is free. The people were pleasant (mainly just a few individuals, couples, and families) but the no see-ums were intense, my bug spray didn't seem to help, and there was a sewer-like scent that was somewhat powerful and a bit stunning throughout my visit. I was assured that it isn't always that way, that it depends largely on the wind strength and direction, and that it is unfortunately that way kind of often. It was nice to be by the water, and it because the water is beyond a barrier, the water was quite still and pretty while I was there. This is by no means a "party" site. It seems more for introverted people like myself. No tickets are needed to go to the dock (2023).

Nothing to get excited over....but does offer a good area for biking...during the weekends there are thousands of serious and recreational bike club groups that ride the loop.

Located behind the ranger station take the walk down to the tranquil bay and floating public dock, for a quiet moment or just to munch your lunch in peace. Located at the south end of the Deering Estate, you'll find this great place to chill.

Such as gorgeous view. You can see people fishing and kayaking in this beautiful ocean. I also love the mechanism to hold up this platform I'm making this review on!
