We were bit confused to go for buffet ( most of the times almost all type of buffets won’t be good). For the amount you are paying $14.99 ( weekend ), you will have plenty of choices, live dosa ( with fermented rice n lentil)n appam ( type of pancake made with fermented rice and coconut milk)counter, different varieties of curries. One of the best place for buffet( Indian Vegetarian). Overall we enjoyed the food n service, 👍👍👍👍

This is still a best place to dine-inn for Vegetarian buffet but after Covid i feel hotel management have reduced 4 to 5 main food items like Fried Rice, Gobi Manchurian, Noodles and Appam Dosa etc. Not sure about the reason. Out of 4 Sweets, Only 2 Sweet was good so don't keep more expectations on Sweets. Dosa, Idli, Vada Chutney is excellent. Salads is quite good. Tea, 2 Sweet out of 4, Naan and Veg Biryani is average. Price is bit expensive i feel for very less items. But once we can visit occasionally.

A good place if you love south Indian food. Decent buffet with dosa’s and Naans included. Good variety of south Indian and some Indochinese options in buffet. Overall definitely a must try restaurant. Most crowded during weekends and great service.

This is an authentic Indian restaurant as far as I know. When I last visited, customers were 99% Indians. The best thing is the waiters are nice and friendly. They are easy to talk, and they help bring dosa, and nans. They have about 20+ different food ( soup 🍲, rice 🍚, dessert 🍮, and main dishes, and nan station). There is about 40-60 people sitting here. Food is not too spicy 🌶️ even for non-Indians. I would highly recommend bringing friends and family, as well as colleagues to dine here. You can sit and enjoy a lot of different indian vegetarian 🌱 options. Healthy vegetarian 🥗 with different spices = good for health long term. It seems to be always packed with customers.

South Indian restaurants typically serve only vegetarian food and this was no exception. Malgudi serves all the south Indian delicacies; from the coveted Dosa to paneer dishes to vegetable curries. This restaurant is ideal for vegetarian eaters. My love for buffets is unwavering, so naturally we visited this place during a weekend afternoon. The waiting was about 15 minutes and the sheer number of people waiting outside to get a table was astounding. Judging by the crowd, which, by the way, was a mix bag of family oriented and casual groups, I guessed the restaurant was pretty famous among the locals and hoped the food would be fantastic. Food is scattered throughout and starts with chaat, a live Dosa and Appam counter (more on this later) and then the main course with curries and rice followed by deserts and drinks. Talking about the food, the pav bhaji was sweet and none of us liked it. The appetizers were decent but cold. The main course also was on the sweeter side. The only food we enjoyed to our fullest was the dosa and appam which were hot and fresh. Although, the paneer dosa tasted like a desert and we all regretted it. The mysore masala dosa was the star of this show. They also had idlis and medu vadas along with Sambhar and chutney which tasted good and were upto the mark. Since this is a south Indian restaurant, it should come as no surprise that all the southern dishes were delectable whereas the others were a big miss. The chaat section, especially Pav Bhaji, completely missed the mark and the curries were on the sweeter side which took out all the fun. The deserts were actually fantastic and I’d recommend everyone to try them out. The mysore pak tasted like it was hand delivered from India. Malgudi is a south Indian restaurant with a speciality in southern foods. The Dosa and Idli’s were tasty and a must try if you visit this restaurant during their buffet time. The deserts were yum and an easy recommendation. The seating area might be cramped so manage your expectations. Given the price, I felt this particular buffet lacked that edge which would want me coming back again. I’m sure the a-la-carte menu would paint a different picture, but the buffet, strictly speaking, was lackluster.

A complete vegetarian restaurant- I have visited this place for a lunch buffet on a weekend and had to wait for 45 mins for a table. The place is crowded with many people waiting outside for a table. They have limited food items and was disappointed to see not even one appetizer in the buffet menu. Notable good items to try Vada sambar chutney, paneer butter masala, dosa, veg biryani, potatoes poriyal, mix vegetables curry, curd rice. The rest idly is not soft, lemon rice lacks lemon flavor, tofu keema is tasteless, pani puri is just okay. So overall it’s OKAY experience - not exceptional for the wait. The staff at front desk are friendly. I have attached all the items on the buffet so one can decide if they are craving for any of them and wanted to visit ;) paid 18.34$ after taxes per head for the buffet.

Nice vegetarian place good to try out there South Indian food. Once did go for buffet and it was good and recently ordered lunch as pick up. Tried adai dosa and idly . Dosa came with white kurma which was good and influenced was made from good batter perfectly spongy . Sambhal had loads of vegetable so that was good.

Good food, ambience can be better. Placement of food (live counter and buffet and salad) can be better. Understandably it is crowded because of food quality.

We are very regular to this restaurant, we like the buffet options here, all the items are very tasty. There are live stations for Dosa or appam. Chat items are good as well. This time we had placed catering order and went to pick up. Food quantity is very high and can easily serve 40-50 people when you order the minimum catering order. Quality and quantity are both very good and I highly recommend

Authentic Indian buffet food place. All vegan and vegetarian options. I tried about 70% of the food that was displayed. The service was great. Ask for their naan bread. Try it all.

We had here a year ago and were a little disappointed at the food. Went back this weekend and it was surprisingly good. The entire restaurant is vegetarian which is a plus, makes me feel like I’m getting the best for my buck. The restaurant has labels clearly labeled which food is vegan and which isn’t. The salads tasted great, the sprouted mung bean salad was just amazing (chefs kiss)! I went back for more and more. The chutneys were okay, and so was the sambar. The soup tasted a little weird and cold, so couldn’t eat much of it. The dosas were still raw as the cook was not flipping it over, and the dosa was thick. Some of the food was lacking salt which contributed to a loss in flavor. But the food was still delicious. The fruit custard only had apples in it. Wish there were a bunch of other fruits to enjoy it more thoroughly. The Mysore Pak was so delicious and just melted in my mouth. The restaurant could use some lighting changes. The lighting inside is terrible, which has an effect on how you perceive the food there. Because of the lights the surroundings also look unclean (despite being clean). Half the restaurant was HOT because it didn’t have a functional AC. Wish they fix these two issues. Food is excellent, would recommend everyone to try this complete vegetarian place.

Delight for Vegeterian Food Lovers I wanted to try buffet with some good variety of food and that led me to Malgudi Gardens. I was pleasantly surprised and loved the variety of Indian food with cusine ranging from North Indian paneer and rumali roti to south indian dosa, appam etc. There were live counters for rumali roti, dosa and appam which added flavor to food. I requested for think and crispy Naan and they got me what I asked for. The taste of the items was good as well and I would have to go again to try it on a weekday.

Very tasteful food, authentic and a wide selection of buffet items. Butter naan was spot on too! $18 was the price including 1 naan and water. I left happy and weighed at-least 10 lbs heavier 😅

Okay…Been here listening that this is a pure vegetarian restaurant. I am a vegetarian by the way. Tried the dinner buffet and I strictly recommend not to visit this place for a buffet. Not atleast one item was good. Dosa bad, idly bad, noodles tasteless, butter naan to the worst taste. The vada was good but chutney was very bad, in fact tasteless. If you ask me if you wanna try, I sincerely suggest to avoid. TRY AT YOUR OWN RISK

Was here for the weekday buffet, everyone had a good dinner. It's all-veg, and every dish had clearly indicated if it's vegan or not which is helpful for anyone visiting with allergies. The fresh counters served delicious dosas, romali roti's, and jalebi's. 10/10 experience.

We liked the taste of foods overall. Good variety of foods in vegetarian. If you wanna try a veg based hotel around, definitely this is a best choice.

The falafel salad is completely filled with only cucumbers and the kebab pieces are filled with only oil made with only flour with void filling inside... surprised to see such a worst order delivered without even checking what they are delivering ....when I try to give review through door dash they simply reject my review without been posted. Never ever going to try them out again

Very delicious food! Very authentic! I didn't expect it to be so good. My friend brought me here and told me about everything and what the food is made out of. Very surprised at how good it was.

Experienced breakfast and lunch. Both were superb. Liked the simple rava kesari in breakfast. Right consistency, taste with minimum ingredients. Select dosas and breads too good. Lots of varieties. Very good staff. They collect old books as donations.👍 Love to visit again.
