Loved this place! The whole ambience has a very barn-rustic feel which I loved on a rainy day! ❤️ and the food was great! We had the two chicken burger items - Hot hen and Chicken Melt sandwich. And both were amazing! Hot hen was not very hot in taste for an Indian. Chicken melt sandwich was loaded well and loved the avacado mash and crisp bacon in it! 🥪 They also give chips on the side which was seasoned and tasted great! And the fries were also nice. I also ordered fresh juice - little pink drink and it had a very good flavor of guava ! We did not order any cocktails or whiskey but they come in nice cute glasses! Over all.. great place to hangout with friends and have good food!

Great brunch! Love the chicken and waffle! Our server was wonderful. Made reservation for 11:30am and was seated immediately. Any time after, expect a long wait.

My girlfriend had been talking about wanting to come here for a while. So today we finally decided to come. When we first arrived there was like a 20 minute wait but then somehow was seated maybe 5 minutes later so I do recommend getting here early. We ordered a flight of mimosas, the 3 sliders, &’ chicken &’ waffles. Everything was amazing. I definitely recommend this spot for brunch. We definitely will be coming back.

Very clean and inviting environment. We went on a Saturday, so it was a crowd but we were seated quickly. For a bar, it was extremely nice and great for dates, catching up with friends or watching the game. The food was good, but it's called Whiskey Cake for a reason.... it is AMAZING!!! I'd go back just for the cake and I live an hour away.

Been to the Whiskey Cake in OKC several times. Was hoping this one would be as good. They were packed! Definitely reserve or go early. They were out of what I originally ordered, and it was quite a wait before they realized and remembered to tell me, so when they offered me a second option, they also comped my meal. Very nice of them... I ordered chicken and waffles--quick and easy. It's the crunch! I felt it was a bit bland/dry, but the chicken was so crunchy, I was still impressed. The waffles are really good. The server was hustling, so I didn't bother him for a refill. He was very friendly with each table. They work very well together, for as busy as it is there. I think overall our meal was good, we'd reccomend Plano too. Service was definitely friendly, place is clean, food is good.

Drove by this restaurant and decided to give it a try. I absolutely loved the layout and how the interior is set up. Appetizer was the devil eggs, this was good. I ordered the rotisserie chicken and kale, this was a lot of salad and it was amazing. The vinaigrette wasn't overbearing and the cranberries with pumpkin seeds just made the whole salad. My husband ordered the chicken and waffles and he didn't complain not once. Last but not least, the whiskey cake!!! This was just as great as the rest of the food. 10/10 recommend.

Let’s face it. While I am a bit lenient in service being in the industry myself, I tend to have high standards when it comes to things like celebrating my birthday with my friends and family. Every single one was met on my special day. From the moment I walked in the staff were friendly, polite and smiling at every encounter. This is something you rarely find, especially at higher end establishments such as this. Not only did they take the time to set an amazing table, but the staff took the time to personalize a birthday card for me. Our server, Robert, was amazingly friendly and took the time to answer any and all of our questions. With a smile. From the candied bacon to the chicken sandwich, everything that came to our table was deliciously prepared. Hats off to your chefs as it was obvious they care about what they serve. Goat cheese fondue? Not what I was expecting but absolutely delicious. I’ve never had such an amazing pork chop. Yum! If your goal was to make my dinner great, mission accomplished. You provided me with an EXPERIENCE. Thank you for taking care of me. You can bet I will be back and will send as many people your way. -Max

Nice place with unique entrées. Fantastic whiskey selection. I had the pork ribs with honey lemon pepper glaze. Top it off with a Buffalo Trace bourbon and a slice of that super delicious whiskey cake!

Great food, service, and atmosphere! The brussel sprouts, mixed vegetables, and salad were terrific! The whiskey cake was very fluffy and delicious! We'll be back! **Update*** Round 2, amazing food! The rotisserie chicken sandwich was great! Come in and try for yourselves!

This was the best restaurant we ate at while in the Dallas area. The food was made with fresh ingredients and was delicious. I had the hot chicken sandwich which was very juicy and had a great breading. The fries came with ketchup with mustard seed and I've never enjoyed ketchup and fries so much. My wife had the chicken pasta and she really enjoyed it. The drinks were very tasty and were very well made. All the juices and syrups are house made and you could really tell. Our waiter was kind, patient and made excellent recommendations. You must try the actual whiskey cake dessert too. It was served on a warm plate and smashed expectations and was not overly sweet. One portion was enough for my wife and I to share.

Yes it was good, especially the alcohol! Everything that they have on their menu is going to be excellent! I just thought that their menu was a little small. Not a ton of options when it came to food. We ordered the clams as an appetizer and as we’re finishing, the waiter brought us hot towels to clean our hands. It was like we were at a salon! Definitely would come here again, for sure if you’re trying to get turnt.

I visited Whiskey Cake for an early solo lunch. As a party of one, the bar area/shared high top tables were my only seating option. I didn’t like that, but I was able to get in and out before the area got too crowded. The server was really nice and provided great service, so that’s always a plus! I started with the Endless Summer cocktail. It had bourbon and rhubarb, so I instantly knew that it would be an interesting drink. It was a good choice! For my entree, I chose the Chicken and Waffles. Unfortunately, the waffle was lukewarm. It came with gravy and syrup. I wasn’t sure how to mix the two, so tackling the dish was a bit confusing. With that said, I thought the waffle, chicken, gravy and syrup all meshed well. My only regret was not trying the Whiskey Cake, but I was too full.

Wow! We will absolutely be back to Whiskey Cake. Our server Hope was excellent and recommended some delicious drinks for us novices. I’m not usually a carrot juice fan but the Wabbit Smash was so delicate and the flavors balanced really well without overpowering each other. The deviled eggs, tomato soup, pork chops and chopped chicken salad did not disappoint - but the pork chop was truly the star! Had to finish with the Whiskey Cake after watching all the tables around us order it. DELICIOUS! Love the sustainability of locally sourcing and growing their own veggies and drink garnishes.

I was super excited to visit Whiskey Cake because of their Instagram worthy brunch photos. We ended dining in for dinner one night. Before we were seated at our table we were on the wait list and got to sit at a nice little lounge area. It's the nicest waiting area I've ever sat in. Had it not been for having our 3 year old there, I would have stayed there to eat. The food was just okay. I ordered a short rib that seemed more like roast beef. It wasn't what I was expecting and needed some flavor. The staff was amazing and our server was so sweet. I just wish the food was better. I'd probably go back for brunch just to see if there is a difference.

We went for dinner and were surprised they had Happy Hour until 11PM on a Friday! The service was great. We tried the Great Escape and the Guava Gimlet which were delicious with the wagyu corn dogs for a snack. The whiskey braised short rib was my choice and so tasty. My hubs got the salmon and it was fresh and yummy too. The Mac and cheese as a side was a good call too. You must tru the whiskey cake with cream and a Hustle & Grind coffee elixir to wash it down. I recommend stopping by!

Wow!! This is so delicious!! Everything we tried was high quality, beautiful, and with thoughtfully planned flavor. The smokey flavor from the live Mesquite wood grill was great in the cheese, the fish, and even the bread. You must save room for Whiskey Cake with the fresh whipped cream. It's so worth all the calories!!

🥗 Checking out Whiskey Cake Plano The atmosphere is great, the service was pleasant and the food was simply amazing. We had the fresh fruit drinks to start, the asparagus for appetizer along with candied bacon, and then a salad for me and soup for Dena. Glad we checked it out and will be back.

This place was really fun for a snappy casual date setting. Also, the atmosphere is great, and the service is attentive and warm. In terms of the happy hour, we definitely recommend the corn dogs along with the jalapeño margarita. The Whiskey Cake dessert is a MUST-order, probably our favorite part of the menu. Giving 4 instead of 5 stars because of some foods that weren't as exciting -- the fried tomatoes are a bit underwhelming in my opinion, and we weren't as thrilled with the goat cheese appetizer as we expected. The burger was good, but not out-of-this-world good. So, this is a solid restaurant for a fun afternoon happy hour or a laid-back, but still "cute," date night. We will be returning.

Amazing restaurant! Food has great flavor and the waiters are so kind! We were too full from the meal and told our waiter that after three visits we still had never had a whiskey cake since we always filled up before getting to dessert. He surprised us with a free cake packed to-go! This restaurant is truly amazing in every aspect!!

We went for girls brunch, it was our first time, we love the vibe as well as the food. I definitely recommend the whiskey cake, we went for the cake and it was not disappointed. The drinks are ok (we asked for something sweet, the pumpkin cocktail and tomato cocktail are definitely not sweet lol, if you like sweet cocktails try something different) over all we loved this place will be back for sure.

We loved our experience here! The menu is great and all of the food is so good. Everything was cooked well and had good flavor. Service was good and fairly quick. The best part is the cake! You can’t come here without getting the whiskey cake and the sauce is to die for!

My wife and I went here for brunch on the recommendation of a friend. The atmosphere was quite nice and the noise level was not too loud. The staff that greeted us as we came in was great and the service was pretty good also. As far as the food, it was outstanding. We had the chicken and waffles and the Smoked Chopped Chicken Salad. They both were delicious. This place will definitely go into out rotation.

Yesterday I was headed down the tollway towards downtown for a meeting but came to a standstill due to an accident. My associate and I had a conference call instead and I pulled over and had lunch at whiskey Cake instead. Whiskey Cake is one of my all-time favorite go to and I don't frequent nearly enough! Is located right off of the North Dallas tollway in Plano. Walking into the door I loved that they had local products for sale supporting vendors in the area. The decor of the restaurant is rustic with a touch of farm glam. The menu boasts some amazing combinations that you are sure not to see elsewhere. They had a deviled egg appetizer and the spin on it was it was a beet pickled egg topped with a peach and bacon reduction. Yes, please. I got a cup of the wagu chili and the sandwich on special which was a lightly battered and fried shrimp po' boy served with coleslaw and chips. Food containers to go for the yummy left overs! It was a beautiful day so I sat outside and enjoyed the cooler temperatures and read. My server was incredibly attentive and knowledgeable, had great follow-up. I wish I'd had room for dessert I hear the whiskey cake is phenomenal. Next time!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I need a nap after this amazing lunch at Whiskey Cake. Our server was on it and we didn’t have to ask for anything. She was very knowledgeable about the menu to only be working there for 3 weeks. Can’t wait until the Round Rock Texas restaurant opens in august cause I’ll be bringing all my friends and family to come eat there.

We’ve eaten here twice and both were a great experience. My family enjoyed the environment, staff and our meals. The beverages, appetizers and entrees. The food and beverages are a little expensive but the quality is well worth it. When it comes to high quality alcoholic beverages, Whiskey Cake Kitchen and Bar has very high quality Whiskeys. 🥃 They EVEN have a bottle of Old Rip Van Winkle 'Pappy Van Winkle's Family Reserve' 23 Year Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey every once in a while, Pappy van Winkle is the absolute pinnacle of whiskey and I cannot find it anywhere else in the whole Dallas Fort Worth area. Having the opportunity to drink Old Rip Van Winkle 'Pappy Van Winkle's Family Reserve' 23 Year Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, could be the singular reason to enjoy making a visit to the Whiskey Cake Kitchen and Bar of Plano , but it’s not. Check it out. You’ll enjoy the visit like we have enjoyed.

The food and service are just consistently outstanding. Highly recommend. I have eaten here many times, but today was my first brunch experience. We had the shrimp and grits, lemongrass and shrimp salad, farmhouse Benedict with spicy hollandaise. And, of course, finished it off with a slice of whiskey cake. So good! Going to have to return for the lemon blueberry French toast. I saw it served to the table next to us and it looked amazing.

Whiskey Cake during happy hour was an absolute delight! From the moment we stepped in, the experience was nothing short of fantastic. The drinks they offered were impressive and crafted with care, adding a delightful touch to our visit. When we ordered the deviled eggs, we were pleasantly surprised by how delicious they were, and the presentation was lovely, making them a true treat for the eyes and taste buds alike. The Brussel sprouts stole the show with their perfect balance of flavors, leaving us wanting more. The combination of great food and a warm, inviting atmosphere made this place stand out, earning its spot as my all-time favorite go-to spot for a delightful evening. I’m already eagerly looking forward to our next visit, as I’m confident it will be another memorable experience!

I tried this place for a girls' brunch, and it’s not bad. The Farmhouse Benedict is decent but needs more flavor; the pulled pork was bland and seemed like they just slabbed it on there, and used the hollandaise sauce to bring it back to life. I did like the portion sizes, though, and the whiskey cake was delicious. I’ll give it another try, just probably not for brunch.

First time to try a recommendation from Eater. We drove to the Addison location, nice neighborhood, ample parking. You can either make a reservation online or just wait a few minutes to be seated. Staff are all nice and eager to help out and make you feel comfy. We ordered the Goat Cheese fondue which was 🔥🔥🔥. The Carrot Cake stack, Pastrami Hash, Lemongrass Noodle and Macaroni and cheese did not disappoint either. Glad we came to finally try a place we had been driving by for years. 😋 PS. The little milk jugs are a nice touch. Imma need to find those to use at home now…😅

I wish I had found this restaurant sooner! With different flights available (including an option to create your own), this is the place to go if you are searching for the next bottle of whiskey to add to your bar. Do not pass up on the "social hour" deals - they are amazing! Would definitely recommend the fritters. Nothing special about the corn dogs - the little ones (if you have any) will appreciate them though. I personally never understood people ordering salads at restaurants, but 'Lemongrass Shrimp & Noodle' salad is simply superb. If there are people like me, this salad is a must-try. And as the name of the restaurant suggests, you cannot complete the meal without topping it off with the signature dessert. The cake itself is a little sweeter than I would prefer (I personally don't enjoy sweets), but the house made vanilla whipped cream is something your taste buds will never forget.

We made reservations a few days ahead, and glad we did. We heard a table get told it was a 2h wait on a Saturday evening. Lots of food options, everything looked great at not a long wait. My dish (tagliatelle with braised beef) was a bit bland, and they also changed the noodle and protein (rigatoni with chicken, but I was informed prior to choosing). Our server was fantastic, attentive, made great drink suggestions. Would definitely go back, but would try something new.

All I can say is delicious food and good vibes. The fried green tomatoes and candied bacon it a must have. For dinner I recommend the pork chop or short ribs.....don't forget a whiskey flight! Whiskey Cake dessert it also a must have.

Came in this afternoon for a birthday brunch for my husband. We had reserved patio seating for 15 people which we came to a complete ready table. As our party started to arrive we were greeted with Maddy- our server. She was such a sweetheart! She made our day with her upbeat and friendly personality. Apart from Maddy - my specific interactions with the manager and other servers was not so great. We felt disrespected in front of our party for enjoying our birthday party. (And no - we were not being reckless for that type of behavior) though - the manager did apologize for her frustrated behavior but the first two interactions with her turned us off. Anyways - the food was great. We had their chicken and waffles, hand cut fries, and the Mac n cheese. Definitely recommend the food, ambiance, and patio seating.

I think I found a little piece of heaven. This location is very clean. The staff is very welcoming and nice upon entering. There was a little wait but no more than 20 minutes which was not bad at all being that it was a busy Saturday afternoon. The waiter was very informative with everything on the menu and he also has great suggestions. I ordered the pork chop entree and when it arrived, I was in an ahhhh! It looked amazingly good. It was the size of a medium to large steak, seasoned and cooked to perfection. All the restaurants I visit I always take home the remainder of my food. The food at this restaurant was so good I did not have any food to take home. I ate all of my food and was pleasantly full. The waiter told me they get all of their food from local farms around the city and I could definitely tell. Everything was fresh and so good. I will definitely be back
