If you visit Palolem beach and you miss to visit Palolem Backwaters your trip to Palolem is incomplete. You must visit this place and see eagles, balancing stones and beautiful nature. Local boatmen offer rides to backwaters which takes around 45 minutes for round trip. They will charge you depending on your group size. They charged 1000₹ for four of us in a single boat.

I wasn’t so interested about boating into the backwaters but if you get a good price please take it as it’s worth to pay 300-400 for an hour of boating along with Eagles, Sea Eagles flying around. Attaching the picture of boat owner (Shiva) since he was very humble so if you find him at the Palolem Beach, take a boat ride.

It is a beautiful place where you need to go by boat ride from the end side of Palolem beach. It’s surrounded by mangrove and small mountains. A must visit I would suggest. In a point there will be lots of Eagle where the boat will be stopped to feed them and it’s a fun to experience so many eagles together. Kids will love the show.

If you haven't enjoyed backwaters of Kerala yet, this is the place for you. Though it's spread in less area but still you can enjoy the nature and peace of a mangrove forest. You have to walk as little as 500mtrs to reach for the boat ride. Enjoy Half an hour boat ride and you are rejuvenated.

Stunned to see such a place with kayaks and Mangrove trees in Goa. There is an option to go either on boats or via Kayaks.I would suggest to try both at Agonda (which has longer back waters from Agonda river)and here. Choose alternate means.. You will go through shallow level water body (careful or else you will get struck on a pile of sand) while having a glance at the Magic Rock (basically it's a rock sitting on another rock but only having a small point of contact for balancing). Go till the barrage and return back to feed the Eagles... Will take around 20min Kayak charge 200 per person Boat total charge 500.

You can hire a Boat for a quick 30-45 min ride in the backwaters. Our oarsman was a nice fellow, told a lot of small stories about the region and was very friendly. You would have to walk for at least 15 minutes to reach the Backwaters. There are some eagle-like birds (not eagles) who nest there. Make sure to catch the big white one. It's not a must do but a good way to spend an hour if you've nothing better to do 😊

This was one of the highlights of our South Goa trip. The trip was easy to book and coordinate...and the guide we had was amazing. The boats are nice and shades, so you don't have to worry about the heat. The boat ride is a calm and serene one through tranquil green waters and mangrove trees. The guide explained the ecological importance of the mangroves, local fishing practices and more. The best part was the eagle feeding and spotting where the guide threw food into the water and eagles came right in front of us to scoop it up in majestic ariel sweeps. Great, beautiful birds flying right by you ..... Be ready with your cameras. Its was a 50 min ride, cool and breezy, and a very different experience from the beach.... A must-have item on your South Goa itenerary, and definitely do it with Palolem Backwaters.

Calm and serene 45 min boat ride in the backwaters. The best time to go for this boating is during high tide. It’s surrounded by mangroves and we could spot Kingfishers, Eagles and Kites amongst many other birds. The best part of the backwater boating was when our guide fed the eagles and kites and dozens swooped down providing us with an amazing view!! Highly recommended activity near Palolem beach!

It's good place to chill not expect much. 40-50 min ride on the boat will give you natures touch and you will able be spot some kingfisher birds and lots of eagles. The X factor of this ride is eagle feeding done by sailor. You can give it a try if you are at palolem beach.

This is something one should not miss when visiting South Goa & I'm also sure one wouldn't have seen so many Kites, Eagles and Seagull at a time... There is a designated place for them to park the boat and when they start throwing chicken flesh into the water....Man believe it or not, there are easily 100+ Kites/Seagull to grab the flesh...slow motion videos...Wow worth a visit !!!

It’s really a wonderful place to be with your family on backwaters of Palolem. They have boat and Kayak services too. You have to reach around 10.30 am to 11.00 am because you get good waters in high tide. 200 rs to 400 rs per person charges.

Shortcut One of the most picturesque beaches in Goa, Palolem is both peaceful yet brimming with adventure. If you’re seeking the latter, book a guide and discover this hidden gem. What Should I Do? Not many people know about this, but it’s definitely an unforgettable experience. Located north of Palolem Beach, the best time to go is during high tides and carry your favourite music track along to enjoy the serenity of the place. Ask your boatman to show you the magic rock and enjoy the mesmerising sight of the hawks descending on the water. All in all, the 45 minutes boat ride is worth your time and adventure. Who Should I Go With? Who doesn’t love a boat ride and tranquil waters? The charges per person range from Rs.150-250, so make sure you neogtiate and get the best price to enjoy this with your troop. Activites To Do Swimming, Nature Walk, Yoga, Meditation.

Almost dry in summers, but you can still spot molluscs and birds. Make sure you carry your DSLR to capture them all.

This was an unexpected spot on our journey to Palolem! The backwaters home to the mangroves, otters and a lot of eagles, is also a prominent source of income to a majority of the locals. One should definitely have a boat ride in these backwaters during a high tide and get to know about some of their culture! Oh and did I forget to mention that they feed some eagles during your visit here just so that you can enjoy some interesting eagle time!! 😋🤭

Truly one of the best experiences in Goa. Manjitji has always been very kind and very hospitable. We have had no issue with the parking and the backwaters ride was also very serene and beautiful.

The location shows the wrong route; we actually need to walk from Palolem beach to reach here. 🏖️ It is the best beach to visit in Goa, where we can enjoy various activities and boat ⛵ rides. This beach remains open from October to May🔚.

Great trip! 45 minutes. Just me and my wife slowly punted up the creek spotting Kingfishers, Cormorants Eagles and Kites amongst many other birds. The highlight was when our guide fed the eagles and kites and dozens swooped down providing us with a spectacular aerial show! Amazing, well worth the small fee!!! Would highly recommend!!!!

It’s a calm and serene 45min boat ride in the backwaters. The sunset looks great from here. You can watch eagles as your boatman feeds them. You would also see balancing rock.

A great place to hangout in the evening, the water is calm enough to take a swim if you are feeling like it. This is farther away from the bustle of the main beach but it is not devoid of people.
