I have been coming to Capri for the last 10 years besides during the pandemic of course. It is the ONE place that I can always find the best service, the best food, a great size for my wine and wonderful atmosphere and the best comforting Italian food. Hubby and I celebrated our 28th anniversary at Capri last Monday and it did was fantastic. I wish I got our waitress's name but she was just absolutely wonderful. Probably the best waitress I have ever encountered. Next time I'm going to go out of my way to get to know her name. Since we don't really eat a lot anymore, we shared a drink, an appetizer, an entree and a dessert and it was more than enough. The calamari Capri was amazing, the red sangria was amazing, I got the seafood linguine..what else..... amazing but the tiramisu! Boy oh boy.....was out of this world. Everything was just devine. Atmosphere was beautiful and I love everything about Capri. Thank you for making our 28th anniversary a wonderful evening.

Delicious!!!! I'm so glad we finally got to try this restaurant! The service was great, food was amazing and drinks were delicious as well! We had the calamari Ala Capri as an appetizer... so good!!! My husband had the baked lasagna and I had the Rigatoni Ala Campagnola 😋 the lasagna was good, but my meal was DELICIOUS! Their portions are also very generous! You must try!!!

Recently got chicken Marsala. The mushrooms were obviously from a can. The angel hair was slightly over cooked. The chicken had almost no salt and no other seasoning whatsoever. The sauce was extremely sweet and tasted flat. For an Italian restaurant, this version of the dish is poorly executed. The dish only consisted of mushrooms, sauce, chicken, and pasta.

The food was soooo so delicious, cheesy as I love it. Portions are way big, I would say one portion for two people is enough, otherwise you will have left overs for next day. I ordered Rigatoni Alla Campagnola, and I think is the best desicion I made. I like the atmosphere as well and the illumination. Looks like a great place for a romantic date. I highly recommend this place !

Lovely authentic Italian restaurant. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The food was absolutely delicious and the serving sizes were exactly what you'd expect in an Italian grandmother's home!

I’ve frequented Capri for several years and have never had a bad meal, bad service or a bad experience. Donna exudes warmth and will make sure that you are well taken care of in her place of business. I was just there last week with a group of about 10 people to celebrate a friends’ birthday. Toni handled all of our orders and requests like a star! At one point, the entire table was dead silent because everyone was so lost in their food. I had the shrimp diavolo, which never disappoints. Added bonus: the bartenders are heavy handed with their wine pours. I would suggest a reservation because they are very popular and the restaurant tends to fill up quickly. Give them a try. You will probably be back.

I did not have reservation, so the Hostess sat me outside, which is where I wanted to sit! Which was perfect!Excellent Service, Linda!!!!! Great food, They did run out of fresh Rigontoni, as it was So busy! I chose another pasta, which complimented this dish. The chocolate cake was Yummy!***** I highly Recommend Capri Ristorante Italiano*****. So sit outside enjoy the sunset, a glass of wine, or Martini😉 and manga!

We have been going here for years and this last experience was horrible!!! We will never come here again and will tell all our friends…first we made reservations a month prior to our visit and we’re seated at a table with folding chairs! I ordered the “special” veal chop which was very chewy and 99% fat, for $60.00 you think it would be tender…then they tried to charge us $4.00 for blue cheese dressing with crumbles, my friend ordered ceaser dressing and was charged $2.00…the waitress was hard to understand and not attentive at all…then to top it off they added on a $7.25 charge for credit card usage (we all paid cash because they wouldn’t break up the bill) I guess this is the treatment you get when a company gets to big!!!!!

Lovely place. High energy staff. Great food. Place was packed and busy but all the food came out in a timely fashion, delicious, no complaints. PRICED very reasonably at around/per person if including in appetizer and drinks. Meal portions are giant, trade off appetizers and sides are small but equally delicious. Definitely reccomend to check out

5-star experience under the worst of circumstances. We hosted a post-funeral luncheon for the patriarch of our family here. Everyone we dealt with at Capri - from the initial planning until the last glass was cleared - was consummately professional, friendly and very understanding. The separate banquet room was elegant without being overdone. The per-person price was extremely reasonable, the menu was flexible and equally (most!) importantly, the food all tasted great. After the saddest and most stressful part of his death (the graveside service), our family was able to reminisce about our loved one and enjoy each other's company with a delicious meal. Thank you, Capri.

Everything was perfect, probably my new go to for Italian food. The lasagna had a homemade taste and for $16 you get a very large serving. However, the tiramisu stole the show, the best I ever had.

First time trying Capri in Willow Springs! My husband had linguini with clams in Diablo sauce. The Diablo sauce was perfect. Just the right amount of spice. I had linguini with shrimp and broccoli in garlic sauce. Excellent!!! The broccoli was cooked perfectly. The shrimps were jumbo! Highly recommended!

We went for our anniversary dinner. A Lil mix up about lack of reservations (I called and host told me we could just walk-in). They were obliging and sat us after a 5 min wait. I would definitely recommend making one! We were there by 5:30 and it was already very busy. Dinner was great! I had a veal plate with spinach and vesuvio potatoes with red peppers - cooked to perfection. My hubby had a porterhouse that tasted exquisite. A glass each of smooth & tasty wine. Topped off by cappuccino & in house made chocolate cake. We also had soup & salad with bread for our appetizer. Our server was excellent. Will definitely being going again! I wouldn't recommend this restaurant for smaller kids. There is a bar in back. By the time we left, standing room only. Price was reasonable for what we ordered.

Delicious. They still do good wine pours and the food is better than I remember. Place was packed but emptied quickly after dinner. We ordered 2 dishes...Fettuccine Alfredo and broccoli, and a pasta, shrimp and light tomato sauce.

Our family of six went last night , later in the evening . Understandable closer to 645, as they close at 830. There was no soup available (not the biggest deal ) but four out of the six entrees were full of salt, to the point one family member returned the meal. The rest of us dealt with it. Seems maybe the sauces for the pasta had sat throughout the day and the salt was on the bottom, ( we were the last table served ) the manager did come and apologize but we were very let down on the taste of food . As we had many recommendations to go here. If i were to return I would do it earlier in the day. Waitress seemed very tired and just not very attentive.

I would have gave 5 stars but there was a small incident. Great portions of delicious food and the server was amazing. The small incident was I went to the ladies room with my daughter and a “KAREN” another waitress made it her business asking why my family had a big table saying we must think we’re “special” then saying we must have ordered a lot for the big table. If she did that when I was at the table I would have said something right away. My parents and husband were shocked and too shy to say much to her but I will be calling tomorrow letting management know how uncomfortable that was.

My husband an I went on date night for dinner on 6-22-23 We walked in, they ask if we had reservations we didn't but they sat us right away in the middle of the room we felt out of place and all eyes were on us, we were the only Hispanic in the room. I asked if we can change tables or sit in a corner one but they said all tables are reserves. First impression it was small and very loud in there. The service was ok, lack of attention. The food was delicious no complaints , but I just didn't feel comfortable and it just made my first experience there not good. Btw the table I ask to sit at was empty the entire time we were there.

I love everything about Capri. If you love traditional Italian cuisine - this is the place for you. I’ve tried several dishes and so far haven’t come across any that I didn’t find delicious. My favorites are four cheese gnocchi and the chicken parmigiana. They also have a full bar and can make espresso drinks. As for dessert, a simple cannoli is the perfect ending. Lastly, you will be shocked at how reasonable their prices are. 🩷

I was here decades ago. The decor is very nice and the servers couldn’t be nicer. The wine selection is good though very pricey. But all of the food was so salty it was mostly inedible and I LOVE salt. My husbands soup was extremely salty (chicken vegetable) and my salad was completely soaked in dressing (oil & vinegar…the only dressing they offer). Both our entrees were just over seasoned in every way. You couldn’t taste the food, just the salt, pepper and lemon. They remade my entree with out so much salt but the pepper and lemon were just overwhelming. We took it home but threw it away. We had fried calamari and it was quite a generous helping, definitely enough for 4 people. The bread was good and they give you all the oil and Parmesan you want. One glass of wine, 3 draft beers, calamari and two entrees around $22 = $95 before tip. The cost was pretty standard for a mid scale restaurant but it definitely seems that no one is taste testing the food. I think this is our last time for getting entrees. May just get wine and appetizers at the bar in the future but eat somewhere else.

Ate here recently as group of four, and thoroughly enjoyed the food. All entrees great, very nice house salad, calamari super. Service good, but a little long wait for entrees (Thursday night). Sat in main dining area, and could barely hear each other. NOT AT ALL conversation friendly. It was so loud. Perhaps the other side would have been better; uncertain. They could use some good consultant on how to dampen the noise level.

Went here for a luncheon. Family style, all the food was very good. We had salad, mustaccoli, chicken breast, potatoes and the fresh bread was warm. Was my first time there. Would definitely go back.

Arrive on a Friday night, about 5-515. Restaurant was already very very busy. Parking isn't the most convenient, but it's what they and other places have to work with. There were no tables available, but we were able to be seated near the bar for a party of 2. Service initially was prompt, server was pleasant and nice. However coming back to take our our took approximately 12-14 minutes. We understood being busy and not being at an actual table, but this was a little too long. Our orders were simple. No appetizers, no drinks. Food did take approximately 30 minutes to arrive. I ordered the Pollo francese. Initially good taste. It's in a lemon sauce. However after having a few more bites, I realize, WOW, that's all I taste unfortunately. It was very over powering. Now the chicken was cooked well, didn't have any flavor or I'd it did, I wasn't able to tell due to the lemon. My companion, ( can't remember exactly what was had, but it was a better dish, bit if I'd didn't have the amount of sauce, it would make it difficult to finish, with the inside ricotta cheese being drier. You needed the sauce to combine with it. Overall average. Really tough to grade the angel hair pasta, it was light and thin as it should be. Rest of service was pleasant, but again a little behind just to keep waters filled. Atmosphere is pleasant, but nothing that makes it stand out. Nothing really made it pop out and make us say "let's return."

10/10. I have driven past here so many times smelling it saying I need to try that place. LEMME TELL YA SOMETHING!! IT WAS GOOOD!!! High scale, great food, clean. Picked up to-go. One of the best chicken Parm's. & THE best chicken Alfredo my wife and I have ever had.

First time to eat at this place and unfortunately it will be the last due to absolutely no parking. The food however was excellent. I had veal parmigiana and it was so tender I could cut it with my fork. The sauce was delicious and the pasta side was so good and the portion so ample I took it home for additional enjoyment. Our waitress was perfect in service and information on the menu. Please do something about the parking as this would be a regular spot for me.

This has definitely become a favorite of mine. Classic food, fantastic service. Refreshing to encounter people who work so hard, are so polite and don't make you feel like you're bothering them. Everything we had was absolutely delicious. We never felt rushed to hurry up and had a wonderful time. Photos are Linguini & Clams (white sauce), Cheese Tortollini (special), Tiramisu, and Cheesecake with strawberry and carmel sauces. Delicious!

Capri is an upscale restaurant with reasonable prices. The food was excellent and the service was awesome! Janelle (our server) is a real treasure and made our experience a memorable occasion. Please expand the beer selection.

What a very pleasant surprise! The food is sumptuous, the people very helpful and the portions generous! Authentic Italian at a very affordable price in a clean, calm setting. Limited draft beer, but ample bottle and mixed drink selections. We'll definitely be back soon!!

I’ve been living in one of the surrounding suburbs for about two years now and I order Capri at least once a month. The food is ALWAYS good, and I always get bread and salad or soup with my meal. The food is always fresh and tender. Once I had the wrong order delivered on Uber eats and it was soooooo good! It made me want to explore their menu more and they never disappoint. I can’t wait to go in the restaurant for dinner!

Celebrated my father's 90th birthday. We had banquet room all to our selves. Dad was treated like a king, food was great, hot and plentiful. Great Italian food

Quiet, romantic, reasonably priced, great food, good drinks, I shall return! Wife loved the lobster ravioli. Little spice with shrimp and other seafood to create a great flavor. I went old school chicken parm and had an unexpectedly amazing side of angel hair pasta with Bolognese. Portions were amazing to the point i had lunch the next day. We ran a bit late but called ahead and they easily obliged. Not on open table, gotta call ahead old school like but well worth it. Please check this place out. You will be pleased

Great food and wonderful service! Wide variety of Italian specialties that tastes homemade from scratch. It was my first time there, but I will be going back as often as possible. To sweeten the pot...the prices are great.

As usual, food and service was wonderful. Doesn't take long to notice large groups (6+) love it here. There's a reason. The food is delicious and attracts whole families and groups if friends. Don't worry though tables for 2 are very available as well

  • 4/5 WILL G. 2 years ago on Google
Nice old school restaurant, but lacking professional service. Italian food favorites, I had the porter house steak (only steak on the menu), and my wife had the chicken parmigiana. Both were cooked well and delicious with a side salad (Only 1 dressing- vinaigrette which is very strong) and fresh bread. The meal was a bit overpriced for the south suburbs area. The place has a nice look, but is dated a d needs a serious remodeling. The parking lot is tight.

Food for 8 was terrible! I have frequented Capri for years and always been delicious, however, this time it wasn’t. We were currently there for a birthday party of 8. My food was so bad that before I could finish eating I was in the bathroom sick as a dog. Food tasted iffy going down, and boy it sure was. Next day still not feeling well from their food. Three others in my party barely ate their food because it tasted bad. Pretty sad that 4 out of 8 of us had a bad experience at the same time. The dishes were very salty and some had no flavor. Very disappointed in the experience and so is the whole party. Also, waitress didn’t give us much attention at all. I won’t be returning and neither will they. Plenty other good Italian food restaurants within decent distant… GO ELSEWHERE!!!

Went there 9.13.21 probably around 7:45pm. Been here a few times all great experiences. This time the service was awful. Maybe because we were there an hour before they closed, maybe because me and my girlfriend are young. I don't know. We didn't get a server till like 10 minutes later. Our server though we were cheap offering us specials. Only checked on us once. We got our entree at 8:45-8:55. We had to tell one of the fellas cleaning the tables if we can get a refill on our cokes and a Togo box. Other customers got their food first. I was annoyed. I just wanted my entree so I can just ask for Togo box because clearly we were being ignored. Not coming again. I should of took my beloved girlfriend to little Italy or downtown. It's a shame. Their food is delicious but the service I got was disgusting. The waitress name started with the letter D. Other waitress I got in the past were wonderful. Not that it matters, because I won't be seeing y'all again.
