I took my CCW classes this weekend and choosing this facility was the best choice I ever made! Chris was an awesome instructor. He not only knew his stuff but he also cared whether or not the class understood the information. The tips he gave me about stance increased my accuracy automatically. Everyone in my class made the qualification whether they had shooting experience or not. That says something about the education. Gary and Deb are fantastic and made us all feel like a part of the family. I cannot emphasize how much fun I had learning here. I will be back for further training and will be bringing my family as well!

I took my concealed carry training course here. My instructor, Chris, was very professional, engaging, passionate, and thorough in his teachings. Overall the classroom and range experience was great and inclusive. Chris was able to answer questions and tell stories to support the topics being taught. There were plenty of funny moments during class hours too, which is appreciated since the material can get dry. What stood out the most was how sincere and caring everyone was on the team. I look forward to my renewal class in the distant future. Gary, Deb, and the rest of the team, thank you for setting us up to be responsible and safe firearm owners!

This class is amazing! Taught by people that know EXACTLY what they're talking about. Chris, the instructor, is a very knowledgeable man. I've learned a lot about my rights, laws & "what if this happened" situations in this 16hr class. Yes the class is long, but Chris makes these classes fun & interesting! He will never sugar coat anything & gives you straight forward answers. This class if definitely worth you time! Thank you to Chris, Gary & Deb!

IPSTG is absolutely amazing! My best friend and I attended the 16 hour concealed carry class with Chris as our instructor and he was honestly the best. He was hilarious, but his passion for what he’s doing is so evident! The teamwork between Chris and Gary was also noteworthy (they’re hilarious together). We never even held a gun before, but when it was time for the qualification test, we felt confident going in. My friend was a bit nervous, so Chris let the rest of the class complete the test then took the time to walk her through each step one- on-one. He is tough, because he takes it seriously but he is also so gentle which was a quality she greatly appreciated from being raised the exact way by her late father. Just honestly can’t say enough great things about this class! We both passed and are now looking at taking range classes with IPSTG as well! Highly recommend to anyone serious about learning the steps to protect themselves and their families in an increasingly dangerous society!

Amazing experience at Illinois Public Safety Training. Our instructor Chris made the class very enjoyable. Chris went out of his way to make the classroom a comfortable chill space, which allowed students to ask questions and not feel judged for being new to the gun world. He provided us with personal experiences and connected with the class very well. Gary also gave the class some good laughs and made us feel even more comfortable when speaking about the law portions of the class. Gun ownership and laws in general are a tough subject for some to speak about, but he made the laws simple for those who have no knowledge in the firearm world. I highly recommend taking classes at IPST if you are looking for a judge free laid-back course. Do not be nervous if you are new to guns, they cater to students of all levels. Thanks again Chris, Gary and Deb for such a great experience.

The class was very educational. Chris he taught very well he made us laugh. He can be serious at time to. He explained in detail and answered all questions. Gary & Deb are awesome very nice sweet people. They have an excellent program I did enjoy it and I passed. Gary is funny with great stories.

I enjoyed my class even though 8hrs is to long for me to sit anywhere besides work. Chris and Gary kept the class engaged. I learned quite a bit about how serious conceal to carry really is! On day 2 Chris had me excited to learn even more. While at the Range they made sure we were safe. The class implemented all the safety precautions that we were taught prior to going to the Range. If you're looking for a Conceal to Carry class, where it's going to be beneficial to you, then this is it!! It's definitely worth the price. Thank Chris, Gary and Deb. I will be back.😊

This class was very informative, the instructors were very patient and explained everything. Professionalism was great, attitudes was welcoming. Chris was definitely an amazing instructor, Deb and Gary was one of a kind and I would definitely recommend them to anyone that's trying to get they're paperwork together, thank you guys again.

Instructor Chris, Greg and Deb, did a great job. They presented the material in a way that was easy for both experienced and inexperienced attendees. Chris encouraged class participation and interaction. The two-day course was enjoyable and the time flew by and the courses were organized and packed with both safety and practical information and guidance. I am an experienced gun owner and took a lot of valuable knowledge from the course. Plus, both Chris and Greg are really nice guys. I would highly recommend them for anyone that is interested in gaining their CCL.

Class was great! Chris is definitely a down to earth instructor who keeps the class awake and engaged! This was one of the best classes I have ever taken. The instructor Chris was very knowledgeable and helpful. He took the time to engage with his students and was able to help others with their questions. He went over and beyond to ensure that we were all ready to take our test and certification exam. I would highly recommend that you contact Illinois Public Safety Training Group for your concealed carry license courses for beginners or if you want to renew them. They also partner up with Delta Defense for all your protection help.

Great class. Chris was entertaining, presented clearly and concisely, and was very knowledgeable. There is an incredible amount of information packed into the two 8 hour classes but they made it easily digestible. People shouldn't even own, much less carry, without proper education on firearms, firearm safety, and the legal use of deadly force. IPST covered all of that and more. I will definitely be returning for their first aid and other classes

I had many options to choose from when it came to where I should take my concealed carry class. I’m so happy I chose this location. Chris was the instructor for my class. He’s knowledgeable, patient, caring and hilarious. He managed to turn a dreadful 16 hour class to an enjoyable one. Gary is an excellent communicator. If you call for information, he will provide answers to everything you asked plus some. The “HMFIC” Deb is so sweet and patient. Everyone was very professional. I would recommend this place to any and everyone even if they didn’t ask

My daughter and I just completed this training course today. Although 16 hours sounds lengthy, and it was, it was well worth every minute. Chris and Gary were amazing, professional and extremely thorough. Chris was very patient with me while at the range and I appreciate that. Who could ask for better trainers. GREAT PLACE !!! Chris is the best. The way he taught the class was upfront, straight to the point , and he also through in some humor. He was very entertaining throughout the entire class. He spoke very CLEAR, and made strong eye contact with the entire class. Then you have Deb and Gary they are just so sweet and very motivating on the range for those who were nervous. Off the range just bubbly and just GREAT ENERGY to be around. They make you feel welcomed and definitely happy to have you thereZ they don’t just want your money. They want you to learn the proper mechanics and laws SAFELY ! I would absolutely recommend this place A HUNDRED TIMES over . Like I can’t make this up, how great they are.

Gary and Deb and their crew (Joe and Chris and apologies for other names I haven't met) provide a great service! I went with their service four years ago to get the required training for my Conceal Carry License and I've returned today for my renewal course. The quality of the service was great then and is still great (maybe greater) today! For the price, you cannot go wrong. Along with their credibility of also training law enforcement, this is a well worth service.

Great school , great class. Staff is so professional and friendly starting with Gary who was so helpful answering all my questions. His patience and thoroughness was truly was the reason I choose this school. Our Instructor Chris was knowledgeable and had a great teaching style. This entire staff was a burst of energy! The instructors were informative, realistic and super engaging. They ensure you know the proper protocols and have understanding. They truly care about their students. Chris our instructor, emphasized safety and training. Very patient with the entire class, didn’t feel like I was in a class for 8 hours per day. The lead instructor Chris LaPash was awesome!!! The class was very informative and Chris is very knowledgeable about guns, ammo, laws, etc. The best part is that Chris is passionate about what he is teaching. He really pushes gun safety. Overall, it was a great class. I can definitely tell you that you’re going to spend every bit of 8hrs (16hrs total) in the weekend class. If you think you’re getting out early, think again, lol.

Deb, Gary & Chris were amazing! The class was so informative and everyone was so nice. Genuinely good people and you will not regret taking the class. It’s only 2 days but you will end up feeling like you’ve known them forever. The class will honestly help you get a better understanding of conceal and carry licenses and safety. I will definitely be taking more classes that they offer to learn as much as I can.

Learned A lot of important Information and laws and the importance of mechanism when it comes to firearms and how to properly handle my firearm. The Instructors (Chris and Gary) were really helpful with everyone in the class. I had the pleasure of attending class over this weekend and I must say that IPST has GREAT SERVICE 🤗 from introduction to end!! Gary, Debbie and Mike were all very pleasant and helpful. Chris was awesome he made sure that the class understood as much as possible in such little time. He was also very patient at the range (took the time to ensure that as a beginner I was not only handling the weapon correctly but that I was comfortable). I highly recommend their services !!!
