Started my daughter in lessons here 6 years ago when she was 8 years old. She was shy and didn't have the best muscle strength or balance. Her trainer was patient didn't give up on her. She rode school horses, then we leased horses and finally bought our own and is now part of their fantastic show team. This stable is top-notch. By far the best training staff around. Their horses are loved and well cared for. Their riders are loved and well cared for!!! Everyone is friendly and helpful...a real family environment. Palos Hills Riding Stables is truly a gem in this town!

As a learning-service employee myself, I always seek the best customer service and highest quality product. I strive to exceed expectations and expect nothing less when I look for a learning experience for myself. I have found this and more at New Traditions Riding Academy in Palos Hills. The environment is mandated by safety first. The horses are healthy and sound. As a 57-year old ‘newbie’, I came here to rekindle my love of horses. I thought a few lessons would satisfy my equine dreams. Little did I expect that the experience here would ignite my passion. On the way to my first lesson, I shook with fear. The instructor realized how afraid I was and remained kind and thoughtful. Group lessons are great, but I wanted to expand my learning faster, so I added private lessons. Each instructor taught me something new and helped me gain experience and confidence. Soon I fell in love with a ‘school horse’ and made him mine. Within a year I showed him and took home a blue ribbon. Nearly two years later, I can honestly say that I have found my home. The staff members are knowledgeable and have the highest integrity. Beginners, competitors and boarders are all treated with respect. Martha (the owner) is not only caring and compassionate but also an expert in her field. New Traditions Riding Academy has reaffirmed that there are still people out there focused on great service and a great product. They have made a lifelong patron out of me. Not only have they exceeded my expectations, they inspire in participants a sense of personal accomplishment along with a life-long passion for riding while challenging them to reach their full potential.

I rode at New Traditions for 2 years. Overall, the "family" atmosphere is great and so is the quality of instruction. That is, if you can afford the $75 per 1/2 hour price point. If you chose group classes you are asking for 15 plus people to be crammed into their tiny indoor arena. Also, their school horses are NOT properly cared for-AT ALL. Some are worked 4 times a day over the weekends in cramped stalls and tack that's falling apart. Those horses are definitely not cared for considering the amount of work they do. I personally find that I pretty big problem.

I have boarded my horse her for 6+ years, after moving from a different barn. I don't show, and predominantly ride trail which the owner is more than happy with. There has NEVER been a hard sell to get me to show, which is refreshing in the horse world. My horse is superbly taken care of by a long time staff...which means the world to me. I love the continuity of knowing that everyone knows my horses habits, health issues and watches out for any potential problems. It is an older barn, which might not be for you if you like sleek and shiny, but work is ALWAYS being done, and my horse is extremely happy with his very comfortable windowed stall. ALL horses are kept on a vaccination & worming schedule. I have been extremely happy here...and there is a LOT of comfort knowing that if I can't get to the barn for some reason, The staff has made sure my gelding is turned out, alfalfa cubes put in his play ball, and is a happy horse. I don't know what more I can ask for!!

The instructors demonstrate a high degree of concern for their school horses. They are also able to assess a student's riding ability very quickly. They are experienced instructors, which allows me to trust their instructions. The folks over all are friendly and welcoming. If you are serious about learning to ride, this is the place to learn. I started with one group lesson and am looking to combine it with a private lesson. Their prices are very reasonable taking into account the high quality of instruction.

I have been riding at the stable for 3 years and I love it here. The instructors are super nice and patient, everyone here is super friendly and caring! If you are a beginner rider I recommend you to come here it’s an amazing place!!!

Amazing experience at the stables. Great instruction and well kept stables. Scarlett was a great instructor. Even though we rode as group, she was able to focus on us individually and give us personalized instruction. Highly recommend to any novice or experienced riders. Will definitely keep coming back

An established facility in the area with very popular riding programs for kids and adults alike. Don’t let the dated facade fool you from visiting this place. It is a well known and respected business in the community with talented instructors and dedicated staff. A variety of amazing equine animals call this their home and are looked after with care and pride.

I had the best time my favorite horse is Gumby he is a sweetheart and the staff are so nice I volunteered because when I’m around the horse’s it’s just like my anxiety, anger, sadness, and depression just disappear and that’s why I like to go every day I highly recommend taking lesson’s here I’ll be there Saturday Sunday Monday Tuesday and Wednesday if you need anything my name is Stephen

Almost a year now and it feels like our third place. Community is wonderful. You can see and fell the love for the horses. My 14 year old daughter loves all animals but a strong love for horses since she rode a pony at a fair.

No stars. Horrible experience here, staff is horrible, whenever I was coming here I felt non-welcome. Only one trainer was amazing the rest were @ssholes, sorry but I’m saying. Not even one star, I ride at 9 acres amazing staff. I also recommend double j
