I came here about 8 months ago in the fall and it was beautiful. Now I came back in April and it's a little dirty but still beautiful. The pavement is cracked up and needs repair but maybe they do that sometime in the summer I don't know. It is a nice place very quiet relaxing and you get to see the local wildlife. I would definitely recommend crooked Creek for relaxing time or a walk.

In winter it loses a bit of its charm, but you can take a nice scenic drive. Horse stables nearby. Shelters and picnic tables currently covered with snow. Areas clearly marked with numbers. They also have a hand pump for water, which I hope is operational in warmer months.

This place is named quite appropriately. The river is near the parking lot...you have to push threw some over growth here and there to get to it. Bring shoes you dont care about it's a bit muddy down there. A nice near Chicago adventure!

Great open space for games and activities! Very private area for family gathering, with our own outhouse bathroom. Had plenty of picnic tables, space for about 200-300 people.

It's very accessible and offers a pleasant place to relax, picnic, or hike through the woods and along the creek. I enjoy taking photos there year-round.

I've been hanging at "da creek" now for years. The creek's cool and true to its name, it is a very winding & crooked creek. I wouldn't bring the kids though. I don't think there's much for youngins. Take them to the Little Red School House less than 10 min away. Nice pavilions too. Go to the western pavilion (closest to LaGrange Rd). It's the better one. Have fun WOOD RATS!

Really nice area. They have new Picnic tables, 2 port a potty in each grove, enough parking. Each grove is like having your own grove since they far enough distance. Gives privatise for your group. Very clean with lots of garbage cans throughout.
