Great place for a walk out of peak times. There is a car park and an over flow carpark here though in peak times these can get full fairly quickly but in quite times (early morning and through the cooler months) parking is not a problem. You can do a short walk on the path next to the river, heading up stream or a slightly longer circular walk of about an hour (depending on pace) by looping taking a footpath up to pamhill (where you can see a large bluebell wood in April/May (see my seprate review for this). There is plenty of wildlife to be seen here including Kingfishers, otters ,Egrets, Herons and Roe deer. I can thoroughly recommend getting there early morning if you want to catch the wildlife and a lovely sunrise from the Bridge itself.

Lovely place to relax, walk, picnic and paddle with boards. Could do with a bigger car park, even if it was really cheap. The Ice cream van was there which helped on such a beautiful hot day.

When the river is low it's a great place for swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking etc. Lots of tiny fish around in summer too. (Just make sure there have been no warnings about water quality/sewage!). When the river is high the current is very strong so be careful. A beautiful spot for a walk, picnic etc.

What a great little swimming spot in the sun! Parking can be tricky here but if you can park and dont mind a walk then this is the place for you! We managed to park up on the side of the road (half in the bush) and then walk down. There is a grass area both sides of the bridge so you can bring a picnic and make a day of it, especially if you have family etc I would advise that you being water shoes if you dont want to step on small rocks/pebbles like I did 🙄. Water is nice and not too dirty as it flows continuously. There are also some nice walking paths alongside the river as well. Please take the time to check out this little spot as it's easier than the beach on a busy day (just no sand). Check it out

Eye Bridge is a wonderfully scenic area where you can paddleboard, kayak, and children can play in the river. It backs on to a field which is perfect for family picnics and is well worth a visit. Parking - Parking is SMALL. There is room for about 15-20 cars at most, in a small field. Locals will often arrive early for long walks and river activities you will need to get there early on a weekend (around 0930-1000) if you intend to stay awhile.

Beautiful nature area with the River Stour. I enjoyed going in it in the Summer because it cooled you off. I advise you not to put your head under because I got sick (I think it was because further up the river, cows drink from it).

A decent wooden bridge helping you to get from one side to the other without getting your feet wet. It does have steps leading on to the bridge. Decent views both up and down river.

Absolutely stunning area. Great for walking the dog. Fantastic for kids to paddle or swim or even kayak. Love this beauty spot so much. Overflow car park can become VERY muddy after heavy rain and cars have been known to get stuck! xxx

A fantastic point to enjoy the water or just sit and picnic. Some free parking but often really busy.

Good place to relax by the river with friends - lots of groups typically go there and sit on the river bank, paddle board, kayak and jump off the bridge into the water. There's a small car park here.

It's so lovely to see families splashing around together, some with dogs too. Canoes, paddleboarders and kayakers heading upstream to The Coventry Arms pub for a midway break and back downstream again. Medium size car park but no toilets - bring a picnic !!

👍👍 The green is a great place for simple outdoor pleasures at any age.there are no toilets but adequate parking and you can simply use the space to chill or let off steam or there are lots of lovely walks down green lanes or orchid strewn flower meadows.
