Lovely sea view, lovely place with best hospitality. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Delicious selection of both local and western cuisine in a beautiful setting. The lovely hot coffee just topped everything off beautifully. As for the rest of the hotel. The staff were friendly,specially thanking the reception staff with lovely smiling faces. Our room was large and well appointed with a good sized balcony overlooking the beach, the bathroom with good water pressure and sleep quality was excellent. Plenty of restaurants nearby as well within easy walking distance. One big pool and a medium size pool they got here which I liked the medium size pool so much. Would happily stay there again next time...

Two swimming pools, one is bigger with kid friendly areas. Rooms in new wing are excellent and all rooms have sea views. Food, quality and service is excellent and staff are always helpful. 7-9pm happy hour has free unlimited drinks. Sports room, kids play area and gym are additional places to spend time. Highly recommend anyone who plans a quick getaway from Colombo.

Had a wonderful and very relax full time at the hotel. The overall food was delicious (specially buffet was well organized and good taste). Happy hour with unlimited cocktails, beer with value added. It was a great experience and it is definitely a 4-star hotel, it has a variety of facilities such as 2 swimming pools, gym, spar and sauna. Room facilities were below par for me, needs improvement and also when checking in they consume a lot of time to give the room. Food was great and provided western and local dishes.

Vacation time with my family for my Dad's birthday. Direct booking from the site gave us a discount and was very convenient as well. The reception was not ideal as it took us some time to get an individual to attend to us (bearing in mind there were 3 other families there to check in). However the rooms were ready before we were there. Rooms are spacious and clean, very much loved the central console controlling the lighting and ac making our lives very easy. The key didn't work one time, and another time the central console didn't work, but they attended to it very fast, therefore can't complain on the same. We went for FB basis, and all three meals were buffet. Spread was average, and food was just above average. Nothing fancy there. However we were happy with what was offered. The pool side bar provided unlimited cocktails and mocktails from 7pm to 9pm and along side dinner buffet it was quite refreshing. The hotel arranged a cake free of charge as a gift for my Dad (had to call and pre arrange this though). There are 2 pools in this hotel, one is not so clean due to the leafs falling in the pool. (Max depth 8ft). Location wise the beach access was limited and definitely not safe to go for a swim there. That's the only reason for a 4 star on that. Overall happy with the experience. Definitely the service was excellent. Would love to visit again.

We had a nice stay at the hotel. The rooms were good, the food was good. But, the place was severely under-staffed and it was difficult to get service on time. Sometimes we had to wait a long time even to get our glasses refilled. There was also a mix up with the rooms (with our rooms being given away to someone else before our arrival because the staff did not properly check the names) which caused over an hour's delay in us getting the rooms.

Nice, clean, well equipped and spacious comfortable rooms (with a beautiful sea view). Service is excellent, very friendly and supportive staff. Delicious quality food with variety of selections. There are two swimming pools, one is with a kid friendly area. We visited on a weekend and on Saturday 7-9pm happy hour has free unlimited soft drinks. Gym and kids play area are additional places to spend time. (If possible to add more kinds items to kids play area, it'll be great) Highly recommend to anyone who plans to spend a holiday in Kalutara coastal area.

They provided me a great service in all aspects. I also wish to give Mr. RUWAN and Mr. LASANTHA from house keeping and Mr. VENURA from front office a special shout out for readily assisting to all of my special requests and gave me an excellent service. They all took care of me like a red rose. It is much appreciated. The rooms were also really comfortable. All the Services were excellent. The Food was fantastic and amazing! I came with a group of people from India to quarantine for two weeks at Turyaa hotel. I must say the Indian food they served was so delicious. Both; Thuryaa Kaluthara _ Hotel _ Kaluthara and Thuryaa _ Hotel _ Waskaduwa are the same. Nice place to enjoy your free time, holidays... Food - good quality local food. DELICIOUS... 👌👌👌 Nothing much of foreign food items All the rooms have beach view & balcony opens into the sea side, hence always ventilated by healthy & heavy sea breeze. The Northern wing is a 6 storied new building, with 2 lifts, of which, one towards the sea side has a control panel located low, so that a WHEELCHAIR bound personal can operate it easily. The Southern wing is a 5 storied one, which was established first. Southern wing rooms are little smaller than the Northern wing rooms, but comfort remains almost the same.

Best place enjoy your weekend. Food and service was excellent. Price also reasonable.

The hotel has opened his normal business just two days ago. Spacious and clean rooms. Friendly staff. However, there was a huge delay in serving Ala cearte menu for lunch. The dinner buffet had a variety. However, the combinations could have new better. The breakfast was much better. Things may be hopefully improve soon. It is yet to gain the holiday vibrance.

Had a great stay at Turyaa on 1st of Jan. Food was good, pool was clean and had a great offer in the happy hour. Only complain would be the sofa beds for triple rooms. They have some leisure activities like table tennis, pool, badminton and squash as well.

A very good property to relax and chill, I stayed there for 2 days and overall experience was really great, 4 stars as being a vegetarian they did not had anything in buffet(dinner and breakfast both) and also they do not had a room service policy. This hotel is with the most beautiful view of all time. This time we got a room in the 4th floor unlike our last visit and the view was amazing. We visited on April 2022 with friends. The reason for low rating for the location is due to the cleanliness of the beach. I think as a hotel being benifited by the view should keep their beach clean. The room service was good. The issues faced were initially wifi was not working until I called. The mini bar was locked I got it opened. But the removed my baby's food pack and locked the minibar even before we checkout. that was dissapointing. hot water supply was not working.The staff was friendly. The rooms were spacious. Toilataries they supplied were really good. They had even given a rasor and shaving cream, tooth brushes, all the stuff you need. They put a wrist tag for identification which even though was annoying at the entrance, was ok to handle. Must mention that the restaurants are lacking proper washroom facilities. It is better if they can have some washrooms near the restaurant. Food varities were less. They have an amazing live station for cream pasta and hoppers. Dessert cake options were good. There are two pools and the big designer one is best for a fam with a baby. You have sapce and facilities to play cricket. Fly kites. Group friendly hotel.

The staff was fantastic helpful and friendly. One flaw was that , when we asked for chairs they brought it to us full of dust. Chairs and tables should have been cleaned before bringing it to the guests. That is the normal thing. Other than that all was good. This is not a point of criticism but just and advice .

Initially there was a problem with their online booking but they were very helpful and sent us a seperate link to do the booking.. Once we arrived at the location, I felt the reception was not friendly. There were only 2 people at the front reception and they had to do everything, lot of people checking out and lot checking in. We understood that they were busy and waited for our time.. and we were asked to 'have' our welcome drink but didn't get served.. We got our rooms around 3pm although our checking time was 2pm. However the food was really good and tasty.. The DJ in the night during happy hour was really soothing.. The swimming pool is a vast area with lot of area for kids to hang around with a seperate baby pool... Really enjoyed the swimming area.. The beach is kind of steep and small, nevertheless it was beautiful scenary.. Overall it was a wonderful experience..

We visited there on a weekend with a group of friends. Hotel, they provide same double room for the triple package and gives a sofa with sheets as the triple bed. That was really disappointing because it was not mentioned when we booked via online and really hard to sleep on that sofa. Had to call repeatedly to get an extra bed and finally got a one after hearing so many excuses. Hotel was crowded during lunch as it was given to a day outing of a company. Lunch was with limited varieties and had a bit of similar taste. B/F and dinner was good. Plus point is all 3 meals were buffet. And specially the happy hour and the entertainment was awesome. Except the triple bed issue, our stay was awesome. Happy to visit again.

One of the best vacations we had after a long time. Excellent food and beverages. We booked for full board plus package which include happy hour from 7pm to 9pm at the bar with free drinks. They also provided baby food and cot for toddler upon request. Staff was super helpful. Rooms were well maintained and cleaned.

My family and I stayed in a Superior room with the Full Board Plus package for two nights. Weekend buffets offer a wider selection than weekday buffets. The food's taste ranges from passable to excellent (depends on our personal preferences). Both our bathroom and bedroom were clean. But I saw that our floor's public balcony wasn't kept to a high standard of cleanliness. I have no further complaints about how clean the hotel is. There is a beautiful view of the sea from the balcony of the room and the hotel has direct access to the beach. There are two pools at the hotel, and they are both well-maintained. The staff is courteous and supportive. We are pleased with our experience overall.

We went to this hotel via an online booking and we had to wait more than 1 hour to check in. We've booked superior plus room but at the check-in they told us that all the superior plus rooms are full so we have to go for a superior room. Then we emphasised that we've booked this plus room since that room is more spacious (according to their Web site) and our kids have more space. Then the person in the reception returned immediately with another key saying that this is a superior plus room. But the thing was, the pictures which were displayed in the site was not matching with the room given. 🤔 Rooms were average and the arrangement is not very comfy and attractive. Buffet is okay but not much selection. Staff is also in average level as they were not very friendly and supportive.

I recently stayed at Turyaa and was disappointed with my experience. Upon arrival, I had to wait an excessive amount of time to check in to my room, which was frustrating and inconvenient. The room was up to my expectations, and the overall cleanliness of the hotel was also Okay. Additionally, the food at the restaurant was just average and did not live up to the expectations.

Our first visit to this resort which is located on the coast with many rooms overlooking the ocean. As we were only guests for one night we did not have time to experience all the facilities like the gymnasium, swimming pools. We were well looked after with the management and staff willingly going out of there way to ensure our every request was satisfied. We visited with friends who are due to celebrate their wedding anniversary next week and the staff prepared their bedroom with a welcome to celebrate the occasion. They also generously brought them a small but well prepared cake to make the occasion special. Our grateful thanks to all the staff who were polite and provided excellent friendly service. Our special thanks to their front office manager Dhananjaya who was very helpful and obliging to ensure we enjoyed our visit.

The beach is the only let down as it is a bit eroded and marked as dangerous. Still you can enjoy the beach it you are careful.

My recent visit to this renowned hotel chain started off wonderfully. The ambiance, food, and customer service were all top-notch, leaving us with a positive impression. However, our experience took a drastic turn towards the end of the day when some of us realized that our money had been stolen from our purses. The incident itself was distressing, but what truly disappointed us was the hotel's response to the situation. When we reported the theft to the manager, there was a glaring lack of empathy and urgency in their handling of the matter. It felt as though they did not care about our well-being or the unfortunate incident that had occurred within their premises. It was only when our parents got involved that the hotel finally started taking the matter seriously. This delayed response left us feeling frustrated and unsafe during our stay. As patrons, we expected better security measures and a more compassionate approach from a reputed hotel chain. While I understand that such incidents can happen anywhere, it's crucial for hotels to prioritize the safety and well-being of their guests. I hope this review serves as a reminder for the management to improve their security measures and response protocols to prevent such incidents in the future. Guests should always feel secure and cared for when staying at a reputable establishment like this one.

I went to the spa and had a lovely experience. It was very nice!!! I had the Lily combo. the rooms for nice and clean it was a really lovely place to stay. The balcony was really nice, I was on the fifth floor. The food was really great and tasted amazing. (I do wish I was a little bit more chocolate cake though) overall five out of five pretty great. The pool was really cool too.
