We had wonderful 3 night stay at this place. This is a wonderful place not far from Colombo and with a serene beach. Staff is courteous right from booking to during our stay. Must mention the delicious food served. It was a set menu, with enough options to choose from. They also catered the vegetarian food for me. Food portions were quite filling and more for one person. Rooms were clean and those guys were accommodating for extra requests. Overall a 5 star stay.

I went there with my wife for a vacation.we stayed in one of the ocean view villas with a plunge pool & it was great. The location is beautiful, The villa was spacious with luxury facilities including a private pool , Bath tub & many more. The outdoor garden is also very well maintained & beautiful.The staff is very friendly & supportive, we had two buffets since there were some guests. The food was delicious & plenty in amount. Prices was fair.The overall experience is amazing & relaxing. Will highly recommend it to anyone 🙌♥️

Alright place with decent service. Private pool is pretty small. Their main pool is good. I feel like they are a bit under maintained. Pretty small parking area. Rooms are spacious and cozy. My overall feeling is they are a bit over priced. There’s a pool board in the bar. Honestly the Spa is pretty bad.

This place is really a hidden gem. From the time you enter you’re made to feel right at home. The staff is so courteous and attentive. The rooms are spacious and very clean. And the food! was just amazing.

First of all the room service was excellent. Very friendly. But when we first checked in to our room, the bathroom was not clean and not properly changed and replaced new toilet rolls. It was almost empty. Also the commode seat cover had dirty splashes all over and we told the reception and they came and replaced it but it too had the same but lesser splashes. Bathroom should be the cleanest of all and Ayana sea management please take a note of these. Next the food was awesome but unfortunately last dinner I had caused me three vomits and lose motion. Fortunately my wife did not had the main course. I had some fish with spagati and I'm sure that caused it. I have informed the hotel and they said they have informed the chef. This is 1st time I had this kind of a experience with food from a hotel. Really disappointed as next day was our home coming. Fortunately my home was nearby and I got some medicine delivered next day. Ayana Sea you guys have a good place but try to fix these issues asap

I stayed at Ayana Sea for 6 nights. The location is fantastic, right on the beach. The room was spacious and comfortable. The property is very well maintained. I enjoyed delicious meals, ayurvedic massage and spa. The service was great, everyone was very friendly and helpful. Can't fault this hotel. Highly recommended!

Such a lovely place, spacious rooms and bathrooms with a plunge pool…! The outdoor pool is super cool! Most of all the garden and the beach was just perfect to spend the time. Very calm yet vibrant outdoor!! The staff is really really nice… amazingly helpful. OG the food was just fantastic!! Overall such a lovely place, we enjoyed the stay so much

Absolutely loved this place! Quiet boutique hotel with just 16 rooms so its very calm. Gorgeous stretch of beach with a clean pool and stunning rooms. We played badminton every day and swam in the sea (sometimes a little rough). Food was out of this world incredible with 5/6 courses every evening! Breakfast was a fabulous spread of local or continental! Cannot recommend this place enough

We are still in the middle or our stay at this blissful place as we speak. Truly wonderful Safe and secure Level 1 resort with all you need for a relaxing and beautiful stay. The beach view pool villas are just right: breakfast/lunch and/or dinner overlooking the palmtrees and the sound of the ocean waves is pure joy. Private plunge pool is a great addition (especially for our 6 yo son). Main pool is wonderful as well. Private beach is another thing that adds to an amazing stay (can be quite rough at times), just being out there, swim, swing and take in the breathtaking sunset... The staff are professional, helpful and discrete. The food is another highlight of this resort: variety, quality, presentation... everything is just right. Highly recommend this place to anyone who is seeking a high quality, peaceful and a very comfortable place to spend their time.

Ayana Sea, and the people who made our stay so wonderful and special, are truly a class apart! The private sea facing pool, the giant tub in a natural open to sunlight setting, and the leafy green setting make it a true escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The floating breakfast is a must-try! The location is a little away from the city or major tourist spots so that comes with its advantages and disadvantages, but the service and personal care and attention is unparalleled. We ventured out to get snacks and when it started raining the Operations Manager personally sent a car to pick us up. Everyone from the receptionists to the room service staff truly made our experience exceptional by going above and beyond wherever they could. I wish I could name and thank everyone here, but sincerest thanks to the entire team.

Loved every bit of our stay here! Stayed at the premier ocean villa which comes with a private plunge pool and the beautiful view of the beach. The layout of the villa was super cute with a tiny private garden too. We had lots of space in the room with a massive washroom which also had a tub. The food was a set menu but every plate was done to perfection! Great stay just a hop step and a jump away from Colombo!

The shower was broken. The bed sheets had an old and heavily used feeling to them. Food was the same wouldn't recommend staying for more than a day. If the food was good maybe it would be alright if it was the same everyday. Indoor pool was unusable, not clean at all. Honestly price wasn't worth it.

What an amazing place this is. If you are looking for relaxation, very nice food and lovely people, this is the place to be! Rooms are amazing, with a very big bed and a bathtub. The swimming pool is very nice and the swimming pool man made sure there were beach towels for us every morning. The man who cleaned the rooms made beautiful swans of towels on our bed. Ekanayaka and Ajithe thank you for the perfect restaurant experience. Of course our man of the reception, thank you for all your kindness and a lovely stay!!

We stayed 5 days. From the moment we arrived in reception we felt welcome and special and were greeted with smiles and cold flannels! We had a beautiful room that was spacious, luxurious and comfortable. All the staff were so friendly from the ‘lowliest’ to the ‘highest’ and we were treated with the utmost respect which made us feel so welcome. The restaurant was really good with delicious food and a good selection of wines and the Head Chef and kitchens were so accommodating, frequently cooking food that wasn’t even on the menu! We loved the ‘rice and curry’ dishes which consist of a main ‘meat/fish’ dish but with several vegetable curries and roti as accompaniments. The crab and king prawn curries were particularly outstanding but be prepared to get messy! The room service was excellent and we frequently started the evening with a bottle of Prosecco sitting on the veranda! The pool swimming distance I would say was around 16m so perfectly adequate if you like to keep fit, it was a great temperature and often empty of people. It got no deeper than around 1m so pretty safe for kids. The beach was spectacular, white sands and palm-fringed with a warm sea and felt very safe to walk along. Special mention to our wonderful waiters, Sanjula and Ekenayeka who seemed to work very long hours but were always there to greet us with a smile and nothing was too much effort for them. We were particularly touched on our last night when they arranged for us to have a private candlelit dinner in the hotel grounds. Thank you. They are a fantastic asset to the hotel. Also I must mention Avishka who was often busy with room service orders, but a really nice guy. Also Gayashan who was responsible for house-keeping and who kept our room immaculate every day! All in all a wonderful stay and we will definitely return one day!

From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality and impeccable service. The staff was always attentive to my needs and went above and beyond to make sure I had a relaxing and enjoyable stay. I particularly enjoyed my body massage at the spa, which was expertly performed by Ms. Padmini. She was able to perfectly identify my tension points and provide me with a truly therapeutic experience. The hotel's location is also stunning. We spent two nights in a private pool villa, which was perfect for our baby. The pool was clean and refreshing, and the views of the Indian Ocean were simply breathtaking. I was also impressed with the way the hotel served food. The dishes were presented with a unique artistry that made them even more appealing. The food itself was also delicious, and I enjoyed trying a variety of Sri Lankan and international cuisines. Overall, I had a wonderful experience at Hotel Ayana Sea. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and luxurious getaway. Thank you again for making my weekend so special. I look forward to returning soon.

A hybrid resort that gives you the best of a villa and a hotel. My family and I stayed at the Premier Pool Villa here and enjoyed it thoroughly. Amazing plunge pool with the garden and ocean views make it an amazing offering. From the selection to the presentation to the taste, food was exquisite as well. We enjoyed all three meals. They have a good kids menu to choose from too. Except for some service crudeness in the restaurant, service personnel was largely good too. Although the plunge pool was an attraction, their best attraction is the main pool. It’s in the shade throughout the day and offers an addictive experience.

I stayed at Ayana Sea yesterday,however, the hotel was average and didn't justify the cost. We chose it based on recommendations from several Instagram influencers, including Wandering Unicorns. Unfortunately, the experience fell short – the pasta served for dinner was terrible, and even the breakfast was just average. There are many other hotels in the area with better quality and superior views.

Beautiful and calm location, nice pool, lovely garden. We stayed 2 nights on HB. The staff is kind, the room was spacious and clean except the private pool. The breakfast was fine, but the set menu dinner was quite bed. You have to pre order in advance, they were quite insistent on this, up to coming to the room, calling and sending whatsapps. The choice is very limited and the food wasn’t good. There are not many alternatives around, but perhaps the a la carte menu is better. The staff is cordial, but not trained very well…few service mistakes. We ordered room service, tell that we would call when we want the plates to be removed, but after some time there was a waiter knocking at the window… I wouldn’t recommend the spa, needs some renovations and the therapist had rough hands. Overall it’s a nice place, but could improve a lot. I understand the situation in the country, but I wouldn’t return.

We had a visit to Ayana, couple of days ago. Food was super delicious and rooms were well maintained and very spacious. This was the best stay we've had so far. Definitely, We'll come again soon.

Marvelous place. Very luxurious location with service and fabulous food. Near the beach and under the shade of coconut trees can get heavenly feeling. Little high in price but value for money. Small luxury hotel which you can get unique experience from old fashion multi room hotel. Room have private pool and good for a couple(specially newly wedded) to spend their time together privately from whole world.

My partner and I visited the Ayana Sea last year in September for our honeymoon trip. We have booked a premier pool villa for the entire day. The experience was superb and the food was delicious. The room was very clean and well maintained. The outside location good for photos. 😆 ☺️ highly recommend it for everyone.

We both chose this location to stay on our vacation a few days ago. All the staff members welcomed us with love and were very friendly. The private villa we chose was very comfortable and the view from there was breathtaking. In particular, all the food and drinks prepared by chef Mahinda and his team were delicious. We spent our honeymoon vacation at Ayana Sea and it was a wonderful experience. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. They were flexible with arrangements and provided an excellent service. Highly recommended for anyone who treasures a peaceful and relaxing environment.

I went for a daycation. Their day pass is 6,600/- + tax which includes Pool and Beach Access as well as Lunch. The property is beautiful and well-maintained with lots of shade from the coconut trees and the ocean fight there. It is quiet and peaceful. Ideal for both family and couples. The service is good and the staff is very kind. We thoroughly appreciated the kindness Laksiri and Silva showed us. The food was enjoyable. The Welcome Drink was actually a shot which was disappointing and the lunch course did not include a drink. But, whatever we had was good especially the Breads, Cake for evening tea/coffee and the Main Course. The shared bathroom for the pool should be maintained more. There are some mosquitoes towards the night.

We stayed at one of the Premier Ocean View Villa rooms from 16-17 Dec 22. Words cannot explain how incredible Ayana sea hotel is. The amenities are very modern, the staff were very friendly, our room was absolutely spotless, the food was very delicious. We loved every minute of our stay and wish we would have booked another night. We will definitely come back next time when we come to SL. Especially we would like to mention Padmini’s Spa treatment was fantastic, I had swollen feet coming from cold weather to warm weather but Padmini’s foot massage did the trick. The reception staff were friendly and welcoming (sorry I’ve missed the names but it was the two lads who were working on the 16th-17th Dec), the restaurant staff (Mr. Ekanayake, Ajith, Sisira ) were very pleasant, the service was very smooth and we could tell they are genuinely happy to work at the hotel not thinking it’s their job which makes their service a gold standard one. They made our floating breakfast experience a memorable one. The breakfast was plated very neatly and the portions were very filling. By and large this is one of our best hotel experiences! Keep up the good standards. Thank you!

Had a very pleasant time at Ayana Sea. Their picnic lunch is a must try, with a lot of variety and great quantity. Their service is commendable as they are always available for any of your needs. Their team gives you constant updates on WhatsApp and takes very good care of you. Highly recommended!

Had a wonderful time at this resort! The staff were lovely and made sure we felt at home and all our needs were met. The location is beautiful and the resort had many Instagram worthy picture opportunities! The massage was excellent, the masseuse did a fantastic job! Overall it was a great stay! Would recommend this resort to anyone :))

Once you get past the lukewarm greeting at the main gate and make your way through the lush greenery at the entrance, this place is truly a hidden gem. The food is decently good. The chefs do really understand fusion and do it well, however if they didn’t try too hard to impress, it would have definitely hit the mark! There’s is room for improvement, but the service definitely makes up for everything. The ocean view suites are perfectly located and guests are rewarded with lots of privacy. The landscape and layout has been well thought out and must be commended. Wake up at the right time and you will be rewarded with the sounds of toddy tapping, and we were lucky enough to receive a fresh bottle.

I stayed for one night at Ayana Sea, Wadduwa with my huband and two daughters in family room with an attic, which felt like a home away from home. We were able to fully enjoy our short holiday at this cosy hotel set in a beutiful, eco-friendly location, just 40 minutes from Colombo. As we entered the premises we could smell the sea breeze and hear the sounds of the waves. We were warmly welcomed by the very friendly and helpful staff who promptly attended to all our needs. The rooms were spacious and clean. The pool was also clean and warm. The food was exceptionally good and we enjoyed every moment of our stay at the hotel.

Ayana Sea is a great place if you're looking for a place to spend your holidays not so far from Colombo. It is situated in a convenient location and the place has great amenities. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Gayashan and Binesh helped us throughout our stay and did an excellent job. We booked the Premiere Ocean Villa and the room was clean and tidy. The food was overall good.

I enjoyed three nights with my family and friends in Ayana Sea, this Hotel is Fantastic and the food is delicious, all the staff is very kind and friendly, they have stabilized all the necessary Covid 19 measures, rooms are very clean and comfortable. This place is highly recommended to enjoy stays with family and friends.

We had a great time and Ayana Sea really does what it promises. It caters to your needs. Not far from Colombo and with a beautiful beach directly in front of the resort. Perfect for Family's as they offer Family Rooms and a kids menu. The staff was very flexible and arranged the meals wherever we wanted. On our private terrace or in the beautiful garden. They really go the extra mile.
