This place is amazing the food there is great the place clearly shows it had hardwork put in to make it. The biggest problem is that it was in the worst area to pass through. When I was going back from Bolgoda Prawns Village The people there were so rude and scary they were staring and they acted like animals. In my opinion if this place was out in the city and not in the middle of a bad place it would get a lot more people i loved the amazing experience it was great and the people who own the place are buddists and they can be trusted for sure. They were very welcoming an kind they showed use every thing and i wished i could stay for ever the place was that amazing that me and my sister could not even walk properly we were to excited to explore. This place is amazing such a great view there is so much sports and there was a beautiful swimming pool it was awsome i loved it. I am a million percent sure i am going there again it was like paradise......

Nice place to have get togethers, meetings, etc. But only 4 rooms are available, therefore it would be a bit difficult for a larger group to stay overnight. There is a boat and the visitors can ride it by themselves at their own risk, the water is said to be muddy.

Hi... My heart was deeply touched beyond words by the extent of your warm welcome and hospitality for the Bolgoda village staff. I had never any boring moments throughout my stay at your Bolgoda village.Hats off to the manager at first.He had done a great job and the staff were warmly welcome us to the Village and they did a great service.Staff were awesome.They were smiling every time.I had visited to many places but it was not like this.We stayed in "Idda Carbana".Inside it was really amazing.Boat ride and there were many activities to do.Thanks again for making our day in a fabulous visit pleasant and memorable.I recommend this place to vist and enjoy your time. Your hospitality is much appreciated.👏

In fact we were little bit confused while we were reaching to the bungalow. it was a fishing village. We Could not believe until we reach the place. It is like a hell to heaven.

I had a missed call around 11.00 pm I called that number in the following morning a young boy answered me I said I had a call from this number and he said we want to book your bungalow from now onwards I gave the location he came with his 10 friends . In the evening our caretaker asked the money which they owed to us. they start complaining that they gave food to the kitchen (2 sausages packets) and one was missing and our money was stolen. we were doing this business for more than 11 years. I never had a bad complain about the bad service of our Elderly couple staff. they called me (as I am residing in Colombo) after hearing the story from the boy call Samira at last he said we are not going to pay you and I realized he was drunk. I said please wait till I come. not even 5 minutes time bungalow caretaker called me and said they threatened them and by force got opened the gate and vanished before I come. i called that boy again and asked to pay our amount i said if you don't pay i will be forced to take a legal action .lodged a complain . This is the reply to Samira Dananjaya's comment Hotel owners be careful of these type of gangs floating around the country.

Cool place to stay a night. This is a perfect hideout, for people who lives in busy Colombo city. beautiful scenes of nature. Fresh vegetables and prons available.

We stayed at the bolgoda prawns village bungalow for two days. A quiet environment. The kids had a lot of fun. Many thanks to the staff❤❤

Place is best for day events & Night events, POOR SERVICE no GAS,no cook,no rice cooker,no kettle. IF plan events on there pls bring kitchen appliances tooo.....

Very disappointed with the place. A place full of robbery. We went for a day spend which was 12,000/- and we had to provide all the stuff to cook and half of them were missing. And the best part is 11,000/- from our wallets was stolen , as the bags were inside the room. They have seperate entrance to each room and they can steal anything while you enjoy outdoor. Very bad behavior and service of the owners too. They were justifying the loss saying that it could be a cat who stole everything. Beware of your belongings and cash. Take my advice. Don’t ever think to go !!!!

I stayed more than 2weeks this place is calm and verry peaceful untill you reach there you will not get an idea about the place.there is good caretaker she was verry nice for every one who is coming over there verry safe and peaceful place i recommend this place because i stayed here without and trouble highly recommended

A wonderful and peaceful place to spend a holiday. I love the unique lake side and especially the view which is very closer to nature. My family and I had an amazing experience.
