Nice restaurant to taste Panamanian food. It is not located in the Albrook mall, you need to go behind it. Service is fast, staff are helpful.

So we went to El Trapiche being told it was one of the best fondas in Panama City. It’s supposed to offer the best of national food (very similar to Colombian food of the Coast) in an otherwise short menu with no more than 6 appetizers, main dishes and desserts, each. To what we had, compared with the Colombian version, it really lacked of flavor and consistency. However the presentation of the dishes and attention of the restaurant is superb. I really dislike the chicharrones. There were big chunks hard to eat and full of fat. No flavor at all, no crunchiness, no nothing. Carimañola was amazing. The Sancocho is also very good. Prices are fair. Will come back again to try other choices. 3 stars was the average of my experience

Delicioso. The food was fantastic. I had my new co-worker choose something from the menu from me and he had a platter with multiple things on it (Fiesta Panamena). I wasn't super crazy about the fried pork rind (not a fan of those in general) but everything else was fantastic. A nice place to eat at the mall. I would definitely plan on coming back again. Lots of things on the menu. I thought the portion was more than filling, though maybe it depends on what you get. Friendly service, I would recommend coming here. Just a tip for those like me who come from a place where they remove the bones before, they can sometimes still be in there. This is not at all a knock as they leave them in for the flavor, just be careful when eating the sancocho (my first time having it in the country and it was fantastic).

I personally really enjoy the local chain El Trapiche. ♥️ The atmosphere and decorations are lovely. It's a great place to try a variety of local panamanian food for a quick and casual meal. You can get the Fiesta Panameña platter plate which gives you a little bit of everything to try which is very delicious! 🥰 🇵🇦 I definitely recommend El Trapiche for a simple and relaxed meal with family or friends!

Good eats. Feels more like a home cooked meal than a fast food restaurant. The service is quick and friendly. The food and drinks were delish!!

My wife and I went to El Trapiche for her first time. I have been plenty of times. She ordered the garlic clams and they were outstanding! I got the fiesta Panama as I normally do and it was the same as it usually is. An explosion of flavors that all come together to paint a picture that speaks “THIS. IS. PANAMÁ”

This restaurant serves tipical Panamenian cuisine. They are very afordable and havs great food. Drinks were more than reasonable $6 for a cocktail. I had the "gallo pinto" which is a cross between soup and rice with chicken and pig's tail. It was very flavorful and delicious. My wife had clams in a garlic sauce. They were probably the best ones I have had. We had one of each of their cocktails and all but one were very good.

We asked family to take us to authentic Panamanian food.... This is where they brought us. We enjoyed everything staff was great and they had some craft beers.

We came here for a late lunch after wandering through the mall. This place offers typical Panamanian food at low prices. We tried the sancocho and ropa vieja. Service was excellent. I wanted to love the sancocho, having tried it elsewhere and really enjoyed it, but it was just okay. Worth trying if you're interested in local food but maybe not if you're particularly seeking out sancocho.

A good place to try a variety of traditional Panamian food. For example, try the Fiesta Panamena - it contains a little bit of many dishes.

It's a restaurant just outside the large Allbrook mall. So, quality and price are both modest, but they do have several authentic Panamanian dishes on the menu, including the combo pictured here with ropa vieja (shredded beef), a tamale, and other classics. They have a classic sugar cane drink too. This makes it an interesting stop for tourists if they have any reason to go shopping here.

After I had my Covid test , my sister and I decided to stop by El Trapiche . I wanted something close to home for breakfast . I liked it . Coffee was good. I had the Via Argentina breakfast and it was good . The service was good . It wasn’t busy . We were there early . Our waiter was nice 👍.

So good!!!! Perfect restaurant to try local Panamanian food. Try it, you will NOT regret it. And the service is amazing.

Mixed feelings about this local chain restaurant. Food was pretty decent when it comes to taste, but portions were rather small and wasn’t really worth the price tag (especially special Panamá set). Drinks were good too, but most can’t be made without sugar addition.

First tried El Trapiche in 2016 and fell in LOVE!! Anytime hubby and I visit the country this restaurant is a MUST. Excellent Panameñse cuisine, the staff provides amazing service and the drinks are muy bien

DO NOT get anything fried at this place. They obviously use stale frying oil. I previously thought El Trapiche to be a good choice for a lunch, but no more. My companion also said that the quality of the food has gone WAY downhill. I cannot recommend for even the basic of salads.

👍👍 This franchise is known as a place that uses wood and charcoal to cook some of their dishes.
