Attended a marriage ceremony of one of our friends. I must say that it was a fantastic venue to choose. Open place with lots of greenery made us really relax. The fountain present there was a fantastic piece though. Although I liked the open staged area more than any others. At first, we were sceptical about how everything will be managed there since its a park afterall. But the placement of every sculpture seems planned. All in all, I had a great time there.

Satyajit Roy Park is a perfect wedding destination at Baishnabghata Patuli, Kolkata. The Marriage ceremonial photographs with beautiful ambience, spectacular lighting and decoration stated here for the evidence of the same. Huge space for more invites. Good place indeed. Location: EM Bypass, Patuli Fire Station, Kolkata. Metro station: Kavi Subhas and Railway Station: New Garia.

This park is located near Patuli floating market and Patuli fire station. Walking distance 10 minutes from floating market. This is mainly wedding destination. It has a swimming pool, but not in good condition though. This is also available for children. Entry fees per head RS - 10 only .

Just near patuli. A very beautiful place, well decorated park with chota bheem, charlie chaplin statues. Sitting arrangements super. Wedding venue rents available at affordable price. A good place for children. A good picnic spot. Food prepration area and dining area beautifully placed. Must visit.

Good open space. But not very well maintained. The park should be cleared regularly. Especially on occasions like marriage. Mosquito treatment should be done.

To me its a nice place. It is near patuli area, beside Dinabandhu institute of technology College. Entry fee Rs. 10 per head, which is a wedding venue . Nearest metro station is Sahid Khudiram, which is 15 min away from this place, but the auto route from garia more and bus is more easy to reach here. It consists ride for children, but mostly couples are seen here in non wedding days.

This place is specially for couples I guess...or the one who wants to spend few time with nature , then this place is for you guys ...

very spacious..... excellent location for large gathering... big parking space outside the park.... excellent location for communication..

Earlier it was maintained well....but now it has lost its glory to a great extent....the pools were its main centre of attraction and these should be revived with full working of the fountains and light effects...the lawns should be trimmed...the lightings at the entrance are quite good....lush green ambience... quite peaceful...

Satyajit Ray Park is named after the learned film maker and Oscar winner Director Satyajit Ray. Its a park for people to roam and time pass. More or less its maintained regularly, specially this park is rented out for different functions like marriage ceremony or receptions and other social activities but, the arrangements are not on flat ground, rathar its made as Themed Park. Its a wide Open and bordered by a water body and some water showers to add to its beauty. Its a nice place to hold midum to big social events. Its priced quite on the higher side and very convenient to travel by Bus, Metro service, and Private personal vehicles are a add on. This place is governed by the Govt. WB dept. This Park has 3+11 big rest rooms. The rooms has air conditioning facility. It hasa medium sized play ground inside and Picnic & Outings can be Organised inside the park on advance booking. Thanks.

Decent Space.. Medium level Maintenance.. Children play condition not well.. Had a pond and lots of trees, a decent auditorium. Good for couple who wants some quality time without any disturbance.. Washroom quality not good enough..

Large and we'll decorated. But flooring were not good. When you book that property for an event and cover the area with carpet, due to unevenness there were many guests falling down and injured.

For wedding purposes this is a very beautiful place. Very easy to locate. Ample parking spaces on road. They don't have their own parking space as it's a park. Budget friendly. As far as I know it'll cost you around 60-70k which is very reasonable for a gigantic place like this. But for decoration it might cost you a fortune. There's a beautiful water body inside with fountains. There's lanes covered with trees on both the sides. Plenty of greenery. Different stages are available for mandap, food counters etc etc. But go for this place only if you have more than 600-700 invitees. Otherwise the place will look empty and might dampen the spirit. Music is allowed till 10 PM as far as i know that too in a low volume. You can keep this place in your list if you're looking for a big fat Indian wedding.

This public park was previously well maintained but now the maintenance is not so good neither is the behaviour of its staffs

Whoever are the people or the firm the government of West Bengal has given this place on lease are not doing their job of maintaining this park well enough.

Very good place for childrens and children's related any kind of party it's really too good
