The Khirai Flower Garden is spread over a vast area and is home to a variety of flowers, including marigolds, roses, sunflowers, and dahlias. The flowers are grown in rows, creating a beautiful pattern that is a treat for the eyes. You can take a leisurely walk through the fields, click pictures, and enjoy the serene surroundings. Apart from the flower fields, there is also a small lake nearby where you can go boating. The lake is surrounded by trees and is a perfect spot for a picnic. You can also try some local snacks and tea from the small shops near the lake. The best time to visit the Khirai Flower Garden is during winter when the flowers are in full bloom. The garden is open from 8 am to 5 pm every day, and the entry fee is nominal. In conclusion, the Khirai Flower Garden is a hidden gem in West Bengal that is worth visiting. It's a perfect place to escape the hustle-bustle of the city and immerse yourself in nature's beauty. So, if you are looking for a short day trip from Kolkata, head to Khirai and experience the magic of the flower fields.

It is nice place for flower lovers. It is a valley of flowers. Mind will be calm and cool to see the various types of flowers. In this year 2020-2021winter many people visits this place to see the valley of flowers. Only flower and flower and nothing else. If you want other than flowers then sorry. Some temporary shops are there for tiffin and lunch. The price is reasonable.

Avoid this place if you have the slightest sense of responsibility. It is beautiful no doubt. But there are no facilities or infrastructure and hordes of people arrive each day to trample, damage and destroy the fields in their quest for selfies and photo ops. The poor farmers who are cultivating the flowers are facing losses due to the complete lack of respect for their lifes labour. If you reach by train there is a really long walk along a narrow dusty path after which you have to cross a broken bamboo bridge, climb a mud embankment and battle hordes of crazy people to reach the flower fields. There you will see not the flowers but more people tresspassing and trampling the fields to get photos. And in the midst of all this a mela is in full swing with food and the works. Tje debris and garbage of these food incuding paper plates, chips packets and plastic bottles lie strewn all around and are being dumped in the river as well. Dont go. Car parking is a major scam too. The toto charges 20rs while going but 200rs on the way back. Just dont go. Watch it on youtube. Use a filter if you want a photo of yourself in a field of flowers.

This place is very renowned for cultivation of beautiful flowers, mainly Marigold, Gladiolus, Aster, Chandra Mallika and Cosmos. All blossom in winter. In December and January the place is too crowdy. There is no place for stay, some temporary food corners open in winter, but food quality is very worse. You can see river Kangshabati beside the flower garden.

A great place for a day getaway from Kolkata. Weekends are very crowded. Try going to the rose & gerbera flower fields instead of the marigold ones. The last 3km road is particularly bad.
