I stopped here on the island hopping tour and was shocked at the amount of plastic everywhere. I don't understand why nobody is employed to keep the island clean. So tragic. πŸ˜”

Offers a relaxing getaway with its pristine beaches and lush green forest. Simply a picturesque island with far-reaching views of the sea and wonderful soft white sands, the perfect atmosphere for worthy pictures. The seawater is very refreshing and volcanic rocks are a great place to look for. The island sand looks like white rice and is a great stop to be in.

We have a trip during school holiday 8 Sept 2022. Weather on that day is sunny 🌞 Very bad experience for Island. - Pulau Beras Basah is dirty with a lot of bottle and toilet are broken at all. - All tourist go to sea, jungle to find hidden place to pee. I can’t imaging if you are stomach ache -management for this Island must be take it seriously to repair or prepare temporary toilet for tourist to use. - Toilet is very important for everyone no matter you do small or big business! - no encourage to this Island except the toilet are ready

This island is the closest island among many other islands surrounding with soft white sandy beach and clear water is just beautiful. For a better view and tranquility, walk towards the abandoned jetty. You can feel like you have the island all to yourself. There is a cafe selling drinks and fast foods. Coconut juice is what you should try (slightly pricey). There is also stall for rentals of safety jackets, kayak, snorkeling mask, etc. Camping is not advisable and at your own risk. No village nearby. There is a resort but abandoned now. Side note: If you do Google search there is another island in Indonesia with the same name.

Our last stop during our first day's island hopping excursion. We were already tired and weary from day's adventures and just wanted to take a break (and a snack) to recharge. This island offered that opportunity, or so we thought. I love the floating jetty. My legs feel all wobbly when I was on it. The beach was nice and clean and the sand was oh so soft. I waded near the shore after we found a spot of shaded area to put our stuff. The water was clear and the waves were not that high despite the ominous looking clouds in the distance. The beach was quite crowded as I guessed all the tour boat operators would bring their guests here as part of the itinerary. There are various water sports one could partake in. My brother was feeling adventurous and got the whole family to join one of these activities. The boat driver was feeling particularly sadistic on that day and his attempts to dislodge us from our ride resulted in many thrilling moments. My niece and nephew thoroughly enjoyed the experience and the whole beach heard her squeals of excitement and euphoria. I was clinging on for dear life and was extremely glad the ride came to end.

‼️ First island to visit when we went for island hopping. It was 9.30am in the morning & the best thing was there was no one yet. We are the first team to arrive, so we enjoyed the moments there by taking lots of picture. It seem like Melbourne because they have the bathing boxes here too. Other activities starts at 10am onwards, so you can explore them at your own pace & since we only have an hour we chose to just have our own sweet time. Toilet is RM1 / entry & luckily it clean.

Pulau Beras Basah is a small island located in Langkawi, Malaysia, known for its pristine white sand beaches and crystal-clear waters. The island is a popular destination for tourists and locals alike, offering a variety of activities, such as swimming, snorkeling, and sunbathing. Visiting Pulau Beras Basah is easy, as the island is accessible by boat from many nearby tourist areas. The boat ride to the island takes around 20-30 minutes, and tickets can be purchased from many local tour operators. It is important to note that Pulau Beras Basah is a designated conservation area, and there is a small fee to enter the island, which goes towards maintaining and preserving the island's natural beauty. When visiting Pulau Beras Basah, it is important to bring plenty of sunscreen, as the sun can be quite intense, as well as a swimsuit and towel if you plan to swim or sunbathe. If you plan to snorkel, it is also a good idea to bring your own gear or rent it on the island, as the snorkeling opportunities are excellent. Overall, Pulau Beras Basah is a fantastic destination for anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable day on the beach. The island's pristine natural beauty and calm waters make it a perfect place to escape the busy tourist areas and soak in the sun and scenery. I would give Pulau Beras Basah a 4.5 out of 5, with the only drawback being the relatively high cost of entry, which is necessary to maintain the island's conservation status. Nevertheless, if you're looking for a beautiful and serene beach experience, Pulau Beras Basah is definitely worth a visit.

Friendly and inviting vibe all the way. Recommend this place to do banana boat and sofa boat activities. The price is reasonable; cheaper compare to the one on Pelangi beach. Staffs are super friendly! They made my holiday with my friends special. ❀️

Pleasant and beautiful mild beach to spend time with loved ones. Beach is good but there is no proper facilities like change room, locker facilities or cafeteria.

The opportunity to visit this beautiful azure blue water island is as it is part of the island hopping package. Expect many tourists that join the island respite unless you get to arrive at this island first. What to expect? Simple beach activities - swimming, banana boat and other water rides besides loitering around the island that is still under construction. There are lines of adorable coloured houses to be rented but amenities seem unlikely to be ready for packed tourists. There is also a herb garden that the plants are still growing. Most of all, the beautiful beach alone is worth your one hour visit

Nothing much here. Expect lots of people. The view was great. Take note of the stones which may cut your leg.

Nice and beautiful water. Need to be cautious as it is pretty rocky. Not much corals and fishes to see if you want to snorkel.

Beautiful sea water here. We spent 1 hour here before came back to the jetty. This is the last island in island hopping package. All you can do here is swimming. No stall to have a drink. Seems like things were shut down (maybe during covid). We advice you to bring snacks and drinks to chilling here for 1 hour. This place also called as herbs island. But we didn’t see much herbs in the garden. πŸ˜… probably they just open this island after a long time. The beach is not so clean. Old bottles and plastics here, hopefully the authorities can improve the cleanliness. πŸ₯Ή

Nice place nice weather but too much people. Tourist place

  • 3/5 Oskar R. 1 year ago on Google
Visited the island as a part of an island hopping tour. The island itself and beach are nice and beautiful and it’s possible to swim . Every tour company seems to stop at the same places so be prepared to share the island with plenty of people. Unfortunately some garbage there and the water was not very nice. A lot of dead corals making entry to the water a little challenging. We saw monkey and wild pigs and there are plenty of small shops selling drinks and snacks. Overall an okey stop but there’s so many island so why send all the tourist to the same one?

The next stop after awing at Pulau Helang. As part of our Langkawi Island Hopping Tour. An hour given at this gorgeous island. Ahhh! Soothing to look at and for idling your time away, or of course, for swimming or just water playing. The set back? Due to the holiday season. All sorts of people. Especially the foreigners. Eating and throwing rubbish without any consideration for cleanliness. Otherwise, I bet you will love Pulau Beras Basah.
