It's
the
market
in
Paphos
Old
Town
so
if
you're
in
the
Paphos
area
you
might
as
well
visit.
Paphos
was
European
City
of
Culture
in
2017
and
as
a
result,
the
area
around
the
market
was
redeveloped,
modernising
the
streets.
I
don't
know
whether
the
area
had
any
old-world
charm
prior
to
that,
but
if
it
did,
there's
little
evidence
of
it
now.
If
you've
experienced
old
markets
in
other
European
towns,
you
might
be
disappointed
in
Paphos;
this
is
simply
a
tourist
market,
selling
souvenirs
many
of
which
have
been
imported.
It's
been
a
tough
couple
of
years
for
tourism
in
Cyprus,
and
this
market
clearly
relies
on
tourists.
So
it
feels
a
bit
tired
and
quiet.
That
said,
we
did
pick
up
some
souvenirs
before
walking
back
down
to
the
beach.
