A
small
and
cozy
unpretentious
eatery
that
is
clean
and
air-conditioned,
Liezl’s
serves
a
good
enough
batchoy
if
you
do
not
expect
the
full
flavor
and
richness
of
original
batchoy
served
in
the
La
Paz,
Iloilo
market.
Liezl’s
also
has
some
good
rice-viand
combinations,
one
of
the
most
popular
of
which
would
be
the
tapsilog.
The
KBL
is
also
interesting
but
lacks
the
distinct
purplish
color
of
the
original
from
the
kadyos
and
a
more
developed
and
seasoned
broth.
The
attention
to
some
detail
serves
this
eatery
well,
for
example,
a
pitcher
of
cold
water
readily
available
at
the
table
and
condiment
dishes
for
soy
sauce
or
vinegar
are
given
with
a
piece
of
chili
pepper.
I
would
like
to
see
Liezl’s
develop
their
Ilonggo
dishes
and
maybe
even
add
a
chicken
inasal
selection
a
la
Iloilo’s
Tatoy’s.
Leizl’s
certainly
offers
a
great
alternative
to
restaurant
chains
and
offers
some
experience
of
regional
cooking
at
a
very
affordable
price.
With
a
surprisingly
nice
ambience,
I
will
definitely
be
back
for
more
of
Liezl’s.
