We just did the farm tour yesterday and had the best time! The father was our tour guide and was wonderful! He taught us a lot about the farm and the animals. He even taught us about their garden and a few people went home with fresh carrots. There were a lot of baby animals when we went. We fed the baby cows with bottles, held the baby pig and goats, and milked the mama cow. Highly recommend for families or just 2 adults like us. 😊

Highly recommend it !!!! This place is amazing. If you are looking for a true amish experience, this is it. We brought our 18month old daughter and she LOVED IT (so did we).We got the whole package . We picked the vegetables from the garden, met and feed all the amazing farm animals (chickens, goats, sheep, pigs, cows , and bunnies). We went mid June and there were so many baby animals. Martha, our tour guide, was amazing!! So friendly and kind. She was very knowledgeable and really made our visit one to remember. We can’t wait to come back next year and see all the animals and the amazing Martha .Telling all our friends and family that the farm is a must see if in the area.

Jesse and Ruth were the perfect hosts! They made apple cider and churned butter with the kids, and we loved all the farm animals! The kids really enjoyed feeding all of them! It was a unique experience and we would definitely recommend it!

We spend a lot of time in Lancaster and are always looking for new things to do. This was, by far, one of the best tours we've done. The family is so kind and open to answering a variety of questions about their farm and life. The adults and child in our group had a wonderful experience. From holding animals, to feeding baby cows, to riding in a horse drawn wagon and so much more... I highly recommend touring Old Windmill Farm if you are in the area.

We have been to PA several times but this experience by far has been the best one. My 8yr old and 2 year old loved it. The owner of the farm was super nice and took his time to show us around. He was always willing to answer any questions the adults or my 8yr old had. Never rushed us and made us feel at home. He even allowed my 8yr old to steer the buggy. I would definitely recommend this farm tour to all, old and young. We will be attending again in the future.

Best farm tour of all time! They made you one of the family as we experienced a true Amish family and their beautiful farm. Was a true delight. Homemade Rootbeer floats-a real treat, fresh cheese, eggs & butter.

We did the Farm Tour. For $18 a person it was well worth the money. Grandpa was our guide and was amazing! We got to bottle feed a calf, milk a cow, hold baby chicks, bunnies, and pigs. We were able play with the goats and collect fresh eggs. The hayride was nice and Grandpa even allowed a few guests to steer the reins. Overall it was a great experience and I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Lancaster.

We opted to visit this farm instead of doing a buggy ride tour elsewhere. So happy we did! Spent over an hour with one of the lovely children of the family who answered all our questions and invited us to try so many things. We were able to hold a 2-day old chick, a piglet and a rabbit as well as feed all of the animals. After the included carriage ride we had the option to hang out as long as we wanted. Extended family own the miniature horse farm at the beginning of the road so you can try to do both activities in the same day. I would suggest bringing your own hand wipes to clean your hands after all the animal interaction and until you find soap and water. The restroom is a porta potty.

Two of my college friends came in for a visit, so we decided to visit Lancaster and stopped at Old Windmill Farm for their Saturday morning private tour. I can't speak highly enough of this family and their farm. We had an absolutely amazing experience! We were greeted by a beautiful peacock and three adorable husky puppies. When the tour began we started with bottle feeding the calves. Then we held baby bunnies, ducks, pigs, and goats. We milked a cow. We churned butter, and once we were done they we kind enough to let us keep the butter we had churned. At the end of the tour we went on a private hay ride. Our tour guide Naomie even let us take the reigns on the hay raide around the farm. She was so nice! Don't forget to visit their small farm stand and get yourself some fresh grape jelly and pickles! They are delicious! We will definitely visit again next year. Thank you!

We had a wonderful time with our tour guide Gideon/grandpa. There was so much to do and see! We were with a 2.5 year old and 1 year old and both had a great time! So kind, open, knowledgeable. Would highly recommended to anyone who wants to understand how Amish live on a farm. Gideon was very open and answered any questions that our group had.

An amazing experience. Jeff and Ruth and their beautiful children were very welcoming and kind. They were very informative about every question we asked. Definitely learned a lot about God's farm creatures. The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing. I will definitely take another trip there some day.

Our visit to Old Windmill Farm was amazing! They are such kind friendly people and it was truly a one of a kind experience. Anna Ruth brought us on a hayride and was just a pleasure to be around, teaching us about the farm, it's history, and answering any questions we may have. She was a lovely lady and made us feel so welcome, it was clear her greatest desire was for us all to have a good experience, and we sure did. Her husband then took us on a tour of the farm and we got to see the horse's shoes, bottle feed baby cows and baby goats, hold baby pigs, feed then, and watch them on a slide, pet baby chicks, milk a cow, hold baby rabbits, and gather eggs. He was such a kind man and made us feel so welcome. I really just felt Jesus shining through this family and it was a joy to be with them. They had free Bible based books the kids (or anyone) could take (I'm a Christian and found this to be a happy surprise that they are wanting to love others in this way but people who don't want one certainly wouldn't need to take one, they weren't at all pushy) and I really just can't say enough about how much we loved our time there. In addition to all that, they have goats and sheep you can pet and feed even before your tour, and they had a corn box that my boys loved (like a giant sandbox in part of the barn but this one is filled with dry corn and has toys to scoop the corn and just lots of room to play). The family's youngest son was playing there too and it was such a joy to see my sons have fun with a new buddy (he and my youngest are both 4). I would definitely go again next time we're in the area and would highly recommend this experience to anyone.

Absolutely INCREDIBLE! If you have any doubts about coming here, do not! As for location, this farm along with several other activities are all alone the same road, making it easy to go from spot to spot. The tour was the highlight of our entire trip! We milked a cow, collected eggs from a coop, bottle fed calves, held baby goats and bunnies, fed horses, and learned about the Amish farm life! Our favorite part was the dogs that run around and love attention from the guests. They even follow the hayride! So cute! Our tour guide, Rosie, was wonderful and made sure we were all having a good time while telling our group some great information about the farm! We had the best time ever at the Old Windmill Farm, and I look forward to coming back!

We had a wonderful time at the Old Windmill Farm, my wife and I signed up for the Amish Christmas Experience and we had a blast! Jesse and his family treated us like family. We never felt rushed or felt pressured for time, it was just a relaxing time learning the Amish ways for making butter, apple cider, pies and fresh applesauce. We would recommend this to anyone and its a great experience for all ages!

What a wonderful afternoon on a beautiful farm! We signed up for the Farmhouse Experience and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! We met the hospitable farm owners who were eager to create a memorable experience while educating us on their culture. We got to taste fresh milk from the cow and hand churn our own butter. We cut up 2 bushels of apples and pressed out refreshing cider that we got to enjoy with homemade bread and the fresh butter with various local jams. The farm owners were so gracious with their time and answered every question. Would highly recommend investing your afternoon with this family!

Authentic farm experience! We had a lot of yellow jackets swirling around while we pressed the cider but they were pretty harmless. The butter and bread was amazing! So delicious! A labor of love to churn that butte, but soooo worth it!

Old Windmill Farm was great! My boyfriend and I did the Farm Tour & Hayride. Marian was a great tour guide! We were able to pet/hold horses, mules, kittens, a collie, goats, baby cows, and chicks. We fed the horses hay, gave the baby cows milk, gathered eggs, and milked a cow. It was a fun, educational experience that I would recommend to anyone who loves animals and wants to see how the farm works. At the end we were supposed to have a hayride, but they were fixing the wheel, so they offered us a barrel ride instead. That was super fun!

We all loved our visit to the farm and the chance to hold and feed the baby animals. The kids loved having a turn with the reigns to steer the mules. Our guide was very sweet and patient. Thank you for a great experience.

This was a 10/10 experience for me and my family. We fed goats, held puppies and bunnies. We also fed a horse, a cow and milked a cow as well. We saw pigs go down a slide and held a day old goat. We purchased homemade rootbeer and it was very good. I purchased homemade chips also yummy and AppleButter delicious. Our tour around the farm was led by two young sisters and they were knowledgeable about the animals and they were just sweet hearts.

This was so much fun for all 8 of us city slickers! The children were so excited to actually hold, feed and enjoy the baby animals for a time. Sadie, our guide was such a beautiful soul just as sweet as could be and patient with the little kids excitement. Oh, and lets not forget the hay ride where the children held the reins and ‘drove’ the team! A very special experience for all of them. Thank you so much for a great experience.

Hands down the best experience! Martha and her family were absolutely wonderful and made everything so fun ! My 21 month old loved running around the farm , feeding and petting all the baby animals , riding on the horse drawn bucket train and the hayride ! If your looking for a great hands on experience with a variety of baby farm animals, this is your stop! There is truly something for everyone!

The land of Windmill Farm is absolutely gorgeous. There were golden fields of wheat, and the sun made them sparkle. The farm itself was quaint and welcoming place as well. Our tour guide was a gentleman who went by the name of “Grandpa”. He engaged us in an interesting conversation and really gave us a wonderful tour. I got to check ‘milking a cow’ off of my bucket list, held baby goats, chicks, and bunnies and got a kiss from a pig. Also fed baby cows, and took a hay ride pulled by some mules. Any questions you asked he was willing to answer and he had a good sense of humor. Our group was composed of 4 families and Grandpa was great with the other patron’s kids. It really seemed like he genuinely loved seeing the little ones learn. My visit reminded me that it’s important to slow down in life, disconnect, and appreciate quality and nature. I fully recommend going on the farm fun combo tour. P.S. Our guide also let us pick vegetables and take some home. They were so fresh!

Had a wonderful time with our five year old daughter. While we visited, noticed that a cow seemed to be struggling, turned out that she was due to deliver. So our little tour turned into a fascinating journey along with her as she gave birth. The farm was full of babies from calves to piglets to chicks - even a litter of barn kittens. And all willing to be played with, milked, fed and handled (well, the piglets weren’t happy but didn’t kick their way out of little arms). On top of it all, the farmer and his children were willing to share about running the farm and their life in Pennsylvania.

I really want to say a lot thanks to this tour, it’s very healing and full of memories, our tour person grandpa was amazing. I was able to pet different animals, and I sincerely wish all the animals and humans can live in a well, loved environment and have a happy life. However I love this tour, by looking at these pictures makes me smile. keep in mind before you visit, be gentle and quieter to the baby animals, as I wish I could remind this to some screaming children

We did the Farm Hand Tour, and it was amazing! Jesse and Naomi guided us around the farm, and let us try out lots of farm activities including bottle feeding the baby animals, herding and milking the cows, driving the mules, and picking the eggs. It’s a perfect way to get to know Amish culture and experience farm life. 200% recommended!!!

Very informative visit. We did farm tour in June and saw all kinds of cute baby animals. Loved the piggies!! Got to milk a cow and feed the baby goats and calves. We learned we about the garden and ended with a carriage hay ride. You can buy tickets there.

Visited today with my husband and we both loved it!! . We did the basic farm tour and lovedddd all the baby animals especially the Pygmy goats. Gideon was our tour guide and he was very nice. We got to feed the horses, calves, goats, chickens, hold some pigs, bunnies and chickens and Gideon even put a chicken on my shoulder and head!! Then the tour ended with a brief hayride (Gideon gave us the opportunity to ask any questions but we didn’t have any, we were just thrilled with getting to interact with all of the animals). Loved it here and hope to come again one day, highly recommend!!!

We were a family of 5 with children ranging between 6 years and 18 months. There was something for everyone and the hands on experience was a blast! We got to hold farm animals, ride a horse drawn hay wagon, help with barn chores such as milking the cows and bottle feeding the goats. We also went home with fresh picked vegetables from the garden. Highly recommended this experience!

We really enjoyed this farm tour, especially our four-year-old daughter! She was absolutely enthralled with all the baby animals, and we all appreciated how hands-on and participatory the tour is. Even the smallest kids get the full experience! Our daughter was allowed to hold and feed the animals and even drove the hay ride. She really loved drinking milk straight from the cow! This is a great tour for families, since it's more focused on the animals than on the minutiae of farm operations, but still plenty fun and informative for adults. I highly recommend this one- we felt like it was a fantastic value and a fabulous time!
