My
husband
and
I
brought
our
teenage
daughter
to
Mountain
Shadows
for
Labor
Day
weekend.
The
staff
were
all
friendly
and
delightful.
I
was
honestly
surprised
by
how
friendly
and
accommodating
everyone
was.
The
friendliness
of
the
staff
reminded
me
of
how
I’m
treated
when
I
visit
Disneyland.
They
just
seemed
like
they
went
out
of
their
way
to
make
sure
we
were
having
the
best
experience.
When
we
visited
it
was
too
hot
for
the
pool
during
the
day
so
the
pool
bar
wasn’t
open
but
we
were
able
to
swim
in
the
evening
when
it
cooled
down
a
little.
I
was
very
impressed
by
the
pool
area.
They
had
towels
and
even
sunblock
out
for
everyone
to
use
which
I
thought
was
a
really
nice
touch.
We’d
like
to
come
back
in
the
fall
or
winter
when
it’s
more
lively.
We
didn’t
use
the
fitness
center
but
we
took
a
look
in
there
and
it
was
really
nice.
The
equipment
was
newer
and
very
clean.
The
AC
was
blasting
and
they
had
water
and
towels.
We
enjoyed
the
restaurant
several
times
and
had
amazing
service.
We
had
the
same
server
each
time
and
we
were
so
glad
because
she
was
fun,
friendly
and
very
knowledgeable.
If
you
visit
you
have
to
try
the
beef
tenderloin,
it
was
one
of
the
best
steaks
I’ve
ever
had
and
it
was
cooked
to
perfection.
They
also
have
a
great
selection
of
wine
and
drinks
which
we
thoroughly
enjoyed.
They
have
a
nice
bar
with
a
comfortable
lounge
area
with
couches
and
tv’s.
We
had
drinks
there
a
couple
of
times,
very
cozy.
We
did
room
service
just
about
every
day
so
we
did
get
a
little
bored
with
the
food
selection
after
awhile
but
I
think
if
we
were
to
visit
later
in
the
year
there
might
be
more
choices.
I
noticed
a
lounge/cafe
near
the
golf
course
that
was
closed,
so
I
think
there
are
more
options
during
peak
season
when
it’s
not
so
hot
and
people
can
spend
time
by
the
pool
or
golfing.
I
was
very
impressed
with
how
fast
the
room
service
was.
Whenever
we
ordered
the
food
seemed
to
arrive
in
less
than
15
minutes.
They
have
a
really
nice
mini
bar
with
a
good
variety
of
snacks
and
beverages
in
the
room,
we
noticed
that
they
never
replenished
ours
but
I
spoke
with
the
manager
and
it
sounds
like
they
would
have
replenished
it
if
I
called
down
and
requested
a
refill.
We
wiped
out
our
snacks
the
day
we
arrived
so
I
wish
I
would
have
called
down.
They
do
offer
in-room
massages
though
so
we
took
advantage
of
that.
They
couldn't
do
2
at
the
same
time
due
to
the
size
of
our
room
(we
had
a
premium
double
queen)
so
we
had
to
do
them
back-to-back,
but
it
was
nice
that
they
had
the
service
available.
We
did
wish
we
had
booked
a
larger
room,
especially
since
we
were
there
5
days.
Our
room
wasn’t
small
but
I
think
for
us
it
would
have
been
perfect
for
a
shorter
trip
or
maybe
if
our
daughter
was
younger.
Since
we
were
staying
4
nights
I
really
should
have
booked
a
suite.
It
was
a
well
thought
out
space
though
was
clearly
updated.
The
decor
was
very
swanky
and
stylish.
When
we
checked
in
they
asked
if
we
wanted
a
pool
view
or
a
garden
view,
I
let
my
daughter
pick
and
she
chose
garden
view
—
EXCELLENT
CHOICE!
It
was
a
beautiful
view
and
we
had
gorgeous
sunsets
every
night.
It
was
so
private
too.
We
really
enjoyed
the
balcony.
Sometimes
we
would
see
couples
in
the
garden
doing
engagement
pictures
or
other
photos
and
it
was
fun
to
watch.
I
should
also
mention
that
the
location
is
really
nice.
It
was
our
first
time
visiting
Arizona
so
we
picked
the
location
blindly
but
we
were
very
pleased.
It
was
far
enough
out
that
you
had
great
views
out
of
every
window
in
the
resort
but
it
was
still
close-in
so
you
could
enjoy
Scottsdale
shopping
and
restaurants.
There
was
a
lot
to
do
in
the
area.
We
visited
the
butterfly
museum,
saw
a
movie,
went
restaurants
and
even
went
to
Medieval
times.
Overall
it
was
a
pleasant
trip.
