I reserved for 2 queen premium suite for 5 (adults) in my party. We were at Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights. Did the mobile check in at 2:00pm and picked out our room 626. I get a call at 11:11pm from Destiny (supervisor) and wants to know if we are still going there. I informed her I have already checked in through the app/mobile check in. Destiny said we no longer have a queen bed and was switched over to a king bed. Explained there are 5 of us and that will not work and why the phone call at 11pm they had all day to call me. Destiny didn’t care, her response was there was an error on the app, this is the only room we have, and she can’t do anything to fix it. Wow what a great way to say we screwed you over and really don’t care even though it’s our fault. The hot breakfast is not what I expected from Embassy Suites. You’re given a ticket one per person and only allowed one time/trip to get a hot plate of pancakes, sausage, and egg. You can’t even ask for a couple of extra sausages on your “one time” trip. I understand not wanting to waste food but to so rude and stern about a couple of pieces of sausages. We travel to LA about 6-8 times a year. Our preferred hotel is the Hyatt chain. We recently stayed in September at Embassy Suites Arcadia. That was a great hotel and would definitely stay there again. I wanted to give this location a try as a possible go to hotel. I was so wrong. The hotel room is rusted and dirty. I’ll be booking with Hyatt as my preferred chain. Now I know why Costco partnered with Hyatt brand not Hilton. If you want poor customer service, dirty rooms, and an uncomfortable night of sleep. This disappointing low class hotel is for you.

This was the worst hotel experience in my life! Our tub was clogged and had to use it in these conditions f9r 2 days until maintenance came to fix. He left a mess in the tub and i called the front office asking them to send housekeeping over and focus on sanitizing that tub or at least clean up the mess left behind by maintenance. When returning that night I was surprised nothing had been done. I called the front and was assured they would put me on the housekeeping list for the next morning. I never got room service throughout my 5 day stay even after Cara and Lisbeth had both assured me they would send someone over. I had to clean my own tub so that my family and I could shower, we had to take out the trash, pick up towels and toilet paper at the front desk because they do not offer housekeeping. I tried to speak to a manager and I was denied the opportunity to speak to them, (not trying to get anyone in trouble, just wanted to make sure they were aware of the situation) I was told they would call me, but I never got a call back . Its clear that who ever is running this place does not care for their patrons or the Hilton name. Do your self a favor and stay away from this place, dont let the amenities or free cook to order breakfasts persuade you from staying here as it did with me. The unsanitary conditions of the room is not worth it!

This hotel has a negative attitude/environment. They are misleading. No truth. You get better service at a motel 6. Service is horrible. Parking fee is for an unsecured parking lot. Pictures are misleading on their website. Hotel is falling apart. Way over priced for what you get in return. Rooms are small. Beds not comfortable. Just overall, save your money, and go to a holiday inn. The service is better. It looks and smells better. Hilton is not what it used to be… and Embassy Suites is a joke…

11:30 at night. Our Room over a Mexican birthday party blasting music in the conference rooms. How are we suppose to sleep? Drunk teenagers screaming and running around through out the hotel floors. 3 police officers arresting people in the lobby. Seriously Hilton? Is this a Hotel or a Dance club? As a Hilton honors member this has been the worse stay at any Hilton location. Definitely not worth the wasted Honors points at this location. Management doesn't care.

From the outside the place looks beautiful, but inside is a mess of hidden problems and lack of upkeep. The first room we got had dirty sheets and a shower that was broken. We were given a second room and the sheets were dirty in that one as well along with a toilet that was not secured properly and wobbled. While we were checking in there were several other guests that's complained about water issues and running toilets in their rooms and it just seemed like the staff brushed it off. The downstairs has a restaurant and little snack shop selling microwaveable foods and cups of cereal, but don't offer or have any utensils...I guess you're supposed to eat the food with your fingers. Definitely not a comfortable stay and I would not come back here again.

This hotel is very run down and understaffed. They have a nightly reception where they give two tickets per person for drinks. Off the lobby is a big bar where you get the drinks. However only one bartender can take the tickets. The other ones just stand around and watch. There was a 30 minute wait just to get a drink. We had 4 people in the reservation but when we got to the room, we only had 3 towels and no bedding for the hideaway bed. I called for an extra towel and bedding for the couch. They brought the sheets and then we realized we needed pillows too. 15 minutes later they showed up and then we realized we didn’t have a comforter. What the heck? Took almost 1 hour before we had everything we needed. There were kids running around like wild animals all over the lobby and in the pool. It was very expensive for this very run down hotel. Our cruise embarkation got delayed so we requested a late checkout. So even though we’re gold we still have to pay to stay late. Very disappointed in this place.

Beautiful hotel in safe neighborhood. Great free breakfast selection! Staff was nice & welcoming. Only issue was our keys kept going out (so we kept having to get new ones- our fault because it was near our phones) & the digital key on the app never worked for us. Also our room had water bubbles in the wall by the balcony sliding door at the top. I forgot to tell the staff we as were so busy during our trip. Also loved the indoor pool because the first day we arrived it was a rainy day & kids got to swim.

TERRIBLE! I wouldn’t recommend anyone to stay here. my room was dirty the moment I got in with hairs on the sink. They charge extra $12 for overnight parking which is ridiculous because the parking is for the hotel only. Housekeeping is not included unless you stay 5+ nights. We had roaches plus I’m pretty sure this place is haunted. Even one of the employees told us. only good things are the breakfast & the location but honestly not worth it.

Update: 5/16/23. Hilton honors was able to give me back some of my points which I appreciate and will use them at another location. Because of this gestured, I am giving them an extra star so it's at 2 now. My stay was 4/14/23 - 4/16/23. I don't know if I will come back to this place. I asked for more bath towels, toilet tissue paper, and pillows because there was six of us in a room that accommodated 6 people. There was only 3 bath towels, no extra roll of toilet tissue, and no extra pillows for the sofa bed. I called and ask for those things and was promised that they will bring them up soon and that they were low on towels. How could a hotel like this be low on towels. Unbelievable. That night, Friday, no one brought those items and we had to share towels for the shower. I was so disappointed that I called the next morning and ask about the items I requested. They apologize and brought the items up but only gave us 2 bath towels. How is 6 people going to use 2 bath towels. So for the rest of two days, some took showers and some didn't. How can this happened in a 5 star hotel. Not only was this disappointing, the breakfast bar was a one and done. This is the first time I experience this at an Embassy Suite. The standards should be kept the same so the experience can be the same. I wanted to use the pool but it was litter with trash and the pool water was so nasty. It was a disappointing weekend for the 6 of us and we were celebrating my anniversary. Embassy Suite in Downey, CA, you need to do better. I hope others read my review and think twice before booking at this location.

Generally, this use to be seen as "high end". Overall, it just seems more industrial now. The room lighting has been dimmed by design, that allows a lot of cleaning issues. Another thing that really is a bummer is the heating/AC situation. I get the green concept, but this is really a horrible inconvenience. Not everyone is the same and I don't appreciate paying such a price for a room if I can't control my level of comfort. The spa/equipment needs maintenance. A lot of parts are rusting out for the ADA wheel chair friendly spa/pool section/lift. My check-in time was approximately 25 minutes. They had only one worker attending at 4 pm for check-ins. My review is simple. This place has definitely dropped in quality. It appears the priority has been put on a newer look. The quality has just suffered to much. I won't be staying here again.

This hotel has a really nice set up. Loved the balcony outside the room door where you can look down and see the lobby. Enjoyed the breakfast. However, similarly to what another guest commented, there were barely any vegetarian options and no oat/soy milk. The room was spacious. Did not like that theres no housekeeping daily and when we requested it (24hrs prior) it did not happen. The pool and jacuzzi appeared dirty and we did not enjoy it. However the thing that mattered most to me and the biggest turn off was the shower. Why do they still have tub showers with unhygienic shower curtains?? This is so outdated for hotels. I find this so disgusting. Been to even cheaper hotels and they now all have walk in showers with sliding glass door which makes it more comfortable and spacious. I couldn’t even lift my arm for a wash without having it touch the grab bars or the shower curtain (barf). They also do not provided shower gels. The bed was really soft where you basically sink until you feel the bed spring. The pillows were basically flat and provided no neck support. Despite being a gold member, there was no acknowledgement upon check in. We were disappointed and will not be staying at this particular embassy suites ever again.

My family and I stayed at this hotel from 11/03/2023 to 11/05/2023. We traveled from Arizona to attend a family function and chose this because it was only 20 minutes away from our family member and the room could accommodate 6 of us. I got a call from the hotel at 9:24 pm as we were only 10 minutes away and I was told the the suite with two queen beds was unavailable so we were placed in a King room. I made it clear that it was 6 of us but was told that they did not have any Queen rooms available. Given the time of day and the fact that we have been driving for almost 6 hours, obviously, we didn’t have a choice but to stay. The parking fee was waived and I was told that I would receive a 50% discount and that we would be moved to a queen room the following morning. The King room only came with two towels and two wash cloths. Morning Day 2: The hotel had a free breakfast buffet which was another reason why we chose this hotel. With 2 adults and 4 children, the cost to eat out can be costly so I was delighted that breakfast was included. The buffet had a decent selection, but I was turned off at the fact that we had to use meal tickets to participate and could only get one entre’. If we wanted more pancakes or more eggs, we couldn’t. And furthermore, O thought it was poor taste to have a tip basket at the breakfast stations. The service is always appreciated, but at almost $300 a night, now I am pressured to tip for a service that’s already included? Furthermore, the multiple tables remained dirty for breakfast service so we were limited on where we could sit. After breakfast, we were moved to a queen room at around 1030 am. The front desk representative also informed me that she ensured that we had enough towels for everyone. Well, to our surprise, yes, we had plenty of towels, but we didn’t know that we had to ask for washcloths separately. The queen room was slightly larger than the King room: however, the exhaust fan did not work in the bathroom, the tub faucet was dripping, we did not have additional bedding for the fold out couch and didn’t have cups for coffee in the room. The mini fridge was dripping as well. I really like the Hilton series of hotels in general because the rooms can accommodate me and my family and I love the overall vibe and atmosphere of the hotels. However, despite the convenient location of this hotel, I would not stay at this location again. For the price we pay for the rooms, in general, it was too many of the little things that makes this hotel subpar. To add, even though the parking was waived, at almost $300 a night, parking should not be additional. But, I guess you get what you pay for.

I booked this hotel for 1 night a month ago. We planned a girl trip and traveled from Vegas to LA 5 ladies hitting the highway to have a nice time, we arrive at the hotel and check in to room 229. Once we entered the room had a smell and it felt wet and very humid. I went down to the front desk and maintenance was sent, he advised he fixed the air and to give it a minute for it to cool down, we decided to site see and have dinner, once we returned the room wreaked of a very could odor like something was dead and it was extremely hot. I went back down stairs to the front desk and spoke with a young lady, she sent maintenance back up to the room, maintenance informed us they no one is able to stay in the room with the smell and the air not working, I went back downstairs and spoke to the front desk, which I then spoke with the manager who’s name was Destiny, she informed me she could give us a king size bed to take it or leave it, she then began humming a tune as I was explaining to her it was 1am and how will 5 ladies be able to sleep in one bed, she still was humming as I asked for the refund and number to corporate, I am a Hilton honors member and I book o my Hilton when traveling, I didn’t feel respected at that property and I refuse to book at a Hilton ever again, we eventually found a room at the courtyard Marriott which was very clean and the front desk were very nice in accommodating us on our stay.

I don't recommend this hotel. The price is too high for what they are asking for. Rooms needs a lot of work. Parking isn't safe, there has been people who had there cars cars stolen in the past, even though they had overnight security. The front desk employee Gloria is extremely rude, she's very pretentious, and not professional. You can find a better hotel a few miles away for a lower cost, with a free breakfast, and avoid a parking fee at this hotel. Avoid the stress, and find better hotel nearby.

This hotel comes with clean & spacious rooms, and many restaurants in the vicinity. Breakfast has a small spread but is decent. They clean rooms once in 4 days & if you need one in the interim, then 24 hours notice has to be given. Special mention of Jose (the chef) - courteous & friendly.

This place seems great for an event and that’s it. Paid extra for a view, that view was of palm trees right at our balcony. A/C leaked in the room. I guess they don’t clean rooms at this hotel, while you’re staying. If you stay on the weekend during an event good luck on parking. Make sure you get parking permit so you don’t get a ticket. They failed to give us one. Showers are super, super small, my wife is 4.9ft tall and even she thought they were small. Make sure the luggage bell carts tires are not flat before you take it to your room and load up a weeks worth of luggage. The value just isn’t there, to make this place worth it. A business trip for a night probably very nice. A family for 5 days no way!! And make sure the nice nice lady is working before you ask for towels. Our you get asked a 1000 questions.

This was my 3rd stay at this Embassy for business travel. Very good location with great restaurants within walking distance. Typical Embassy room setup with plenty of room, and the breakfast was excellent. Although the hotel is dated, the rooms have been upgraded some. My issues for long-term stay were the size of the bathrooms with little to no ventilation, which causes corrosion because of the excess moisture taking showers. I know in these times we live in we are getting less, but with no regular room service I would expect more towels, etc., to minimize my visits to the front desk to ask for more. As a workout nut, I've seen really nice gyms in Hilton hotels, but with the limited space in this Embassy, the space was small but it will do (as long as it's not crowded, which it was at 6am), but my only ask is to stock with towels and have better ventilation. I asked for towels for the gym during my 2nd visit, but I saw during the same week and also the 3rd visit they still weren't stocked.

Two stars are for room itself and the cooks for making omelet in the morning. The room is fabulous and spacious, comfortable for over two or more travelers. The cook who works in the morning for making omelet is awesome, working professionally under pressure. However, the Front Desk need to be trained in terms of customer services, problem solving, and communication skills. We arrived 2 hours earlier and was asking if there is any available room, agent said there will be additional charges for early check in, we didn't acknowledge that, we thought due to the status as a diamond member, we should be able to check in earlier for just 2 hours. So we are not aware that $25 was charged on our bill in the end. Then we asked for housekeeping service on the second day, (stayed 4 nights), they said it's upon request (Covid is over ppl), they will let me know if they can squeeze me in, and of course we didn't receive any service. Called the front desk later night, no apology, just simply told me that hotel called to our room but nobody answer.... I have my phone number on file. We went to breakfast and we are not aware that getting omelet need one coupon and getting regular eggs/bacon thing need another coupon, very disorganized and miscommunication between two departments. As a diamond member, I don't think I been recognized and received the services.

I booked this hotel before reading the reviews. I had super anxiety arriving to this location. I was pleasantly surprised. I have seen tons of reviews about one employee in particular here by the name of GLORIA, this just so happened to be the person that helped me out. She is WONDERFUL, you do not find customer service like this these days. I am a district manager trust me I know. Hilton thank you for the pleasant stay, from Gloria to the housekeeping staff great team!

I failed to read previous reviews until after I posted this. READ THE CONSISTENT negative reviews. The room was not ready by 4pm despite calling in the morning to confirm. Leading up to the room the rug was filthy and covered in stains. The furniture was damaged and aged to say the least - I have pictures! The front door was scuffed and dirty. The sofa was aged and covered in fabric beads. There were strings coming of the sofa and associated pillows. The metal coffee table was covered in scratches exposing a different color underneath. The dark wood table/vanity in the bedroom was covered in deep scratches exposing the natural wood color - apparently the glass table top was missing. The adjacent wood luggage rack was damage and missing the most the rubber rails. The popcorn sealing was bubbling and on the floor by the bed. The sprinkler head in the shower was covered in rust. The bathroom tile was not clean - the grout was black when it was suppose to be light grey. The bathroom door was also scuffle and filthy. The bathroom door did not lock. I had two separate suites that had similar cleanliness issues therefore when the shift manager initially offered to move us rooms, I decline because we had been traveling for hours. Additionally, I did not trust that the wear and tear problems would be any different given that BOTH rooms had similar issues. I was assured the next day the room would be cleaned - did not happen in part due to the DND sign being left on in the morning but I never got a call to confirm. I complaint when we got back to the hotel around 10:30pm. By 11:30pm there we people above us running a muck until 1am. I called the front desk to which they said security would check - the noise continued. The beds were terrible!!!!! We didn’t initially have enough towels for all our registered guest per room. They left us a trash bag full of missing towels at the front desk for both rooms. The hotel was not to a Hilton Hotel standard and I would never stay at this property again until management makes the needed improvements. At check out after bringing up additional issues I was then offered to be comp ONE night but not after being informed I had additional daily parking charges (were later comp) Over $1700 worth of charges for 3 nights for two rooms but that was the discounted rate.

From the decor of the room to the thoughtfulness of the front desk staff, this hotel had it all. The bed was comfortable, and the rooms were really fun. The hotel has an old school feel and sort of elegance, all in a fantastic location. Add in the Hilton Honor perks of breakfast, coffee and drinks (the bar was great for people watching) and a great room price, and we will be back for more!

The location is convenient, if you forget or need anything, there's plenty of stores to choose from outside. They have events going on outside which is good because the hotel is next door but it also means good luck finding parking and paying 12 a night. Restaurant is good. They have a Happy hour and give drink vouchers. Rooms are nice, I like the living room and bedroom separate with a door. You can put the kids to sleep and still hang out with a diff TV in the little living room, that's why it's expensive. It does get loud bc they host events inside. Pretty good, but there's room for improvement.

Sad...first off, no heat in your room until it's below 55 degrees outside. They did bring me a space heater, but really? I know it's an embassy thing but it's inconvenient. Also waitresses in bar at dinner hours are slow and more interested in talking on their phones and with each other than taking care of customers. Waited 30 min for an order to be taken that never came. I left. Remote didn't work for tv, no to go cups for coffee in the am. Just not embassy standards I expect. There is an interesting Mexican version of hooters across the street that was.....entertaining. food sucks though. Lots of tvs.

I paid $437.00 for one night stay, with an extra $25 for early check-in fee. I paid at 3:40pm check in is at 4:00pm. So that's the first thing. Second thing is my room smelled like old everything! Like a nursing home for the elderly. Third thing is only 1 of 2 t.v.s worked! And the one that did had no ability to let me stream anything, plus the picture quality was fuzzy and grainy. Blankets sheets and towels were old and smelled. Walls are paper thin I could hear the upstairs guest every time urinated in the toilet! I only spent 10 mins in that room before I decided to leave and cancel. But the front desk said I would be charged for a full stay if I canceled. So had no choice but to be a prisoner of the embassy suites Hilton... the only reason I picked this hotel was I was in a hurry and had to go to work. So I said t I myself " Hilton is a trusted name and brand what could go wrong!?" But was very very disappointed. Not to mention front desk was rude when I said I was not satisfied. To top it off ...

The hotel and rooms are dirty. I requested our room to be cleaned 3 days in row and they finally cleaned it our last night then left the door open to all our stuff in side. The only good thong was the breakfast. The fresh made omelets were very good.

Great location, great service and great hotel. Our family loved staying at this Embassy. The rooms were spacious and clean, the pool was a hit with the kids and the best part was the made to order breakfast. The Hispanic gentleman at the omelette station is a rock star! We will definitely be staying here next time we visit LA.

Too pricy for the location. The plants were fake and looked out of place. The pool was sooooooo dirty. I really have a issue with paying for the parking. I mean, your paying like 200 + and STILL have to pay for your car to be parked, which you park yourself, in the hotel parking lot. The staff was nice though. The room WAS big and comfy.

Hotel needs a renovation, its dark and air circulation is poor. I checked in late and assigned to a room that’s not quite clean, I found garbage behind doors and near trash cans. Hairs inside bathroom. My bed was made but it seems like someone has slept on top. Bathroom vent has oil leaking spots, almost dripping. I regretted not filing a complaint due to late night check in for only 1 nite and will leave early. Hotel Breakfast was organized but it was messy, fruits and food were all over the counter so I did not take advantage of their free breakfast: Will not recommend, probably one of the worst.

Stayed here in late June 2023. Front desk staff were very nice and friendly but not much they could do with an overbooked hotel. First night was loud and way too many people in hotel and the grill/bar. Second night was worse with grill/bar, a wedding and a graduation party. Kids running all over the place. Things didn't quiet down until midnight. Will never stay hear again and wish I had read reviews before paying way too much. Oh, the breakfast was terrible and you had a ticket for a one time serving since they had too many people in the hotel.

  • 2/5 Rashun R. 9 months ago on Google
The first room that they gave me, the a/c didn't work and was full of flies. The second room didn't have flies, and the a/c worked. However, the room was dirty. The smoke detector even had a bag covering it. Also, they will not clean your room unless you request it twice, at the front desk! The restaurant has great food, but you will have to wait for a bartender to acknowledge your presence once they stop catering to their buddies, which will be about 20-30 minutes. You come off better, just sitting at the bar. The wait time will be about 10-15 minutes instead. Also, don't expect to get a good night's rest if there are a lot of kids staying there. They will be chasing each other up and down the hallways all night! Overall, I was extremely disappointed with this Embassy Suites. I've only ever had problems like that with Holiday Inns in the past, not any Hilton hotels!

Centrally located hotel with lots of eateries around. Rooms are spacious & well contained. Housekeeping is only once in 4 days so if you need it earlier, you'll have to give them 24 hours notice (which I think is ridiculous). Nonetheless, it's a good hotel & I highly recommend it.

Terrible experience. They have a party in one of their party rooms tonight and it is very loud. Our room furniture is vibrating due to the base. We called the lobby and they said maybe they can shut the door to the balcony. That was all the help we got. Which did not happen. We cannot even hear our TV over the noise and they have the room until midnight. I will not be staying here again. Here is hoping I get to sleep tonight.

Very nice hotel with spacious and clean rooms. But the best part for me was the buffet breakfast. It had so much variety and they even make omelets to your liking. Will definitely stay here again the next time we are in town. 🙂

No shower curtain 🤔 We asked that some bleach water be sprayed around front of the bathtub, by the door, and a few places on the floor, near the bathtub base. I was asked if we wanted a new room. We turned it down. The same thing could just as easily happen in another room. We were so disappointed 😞. Otherwise, our room was nice! Our grandchildren are vegetarian and vegan. Very little offered in the way of breakfast variety. Also, no oat milk, or soy milk. No potatoes, almost no fruit variety. My husband was fine with his omlette, but no potatoes this morning, again

We have been staying here for a long time and we had no problems. The past year we have stayed there a couple of times. We noticed the rooms & lobby dirty, and beds hard were you can feel the metal which makes it super uncomfortable. Just recently the AC was not working in the whole building of course it was not mentioned upon checking, when I complained they provided a fan that didn't work. I was planning a 4 night stay which was reduced to a 2 night stay because of how hot it was. I have decided not to stay there again they have gone downhill. Price have gone up and they now started charging for parking when there's no parking space available. Very disappointed!!

Disappointed in the cleanliness and the breakfast. The entrance to the hotel is beautiful but the rooms leave a lot to be desired. The floors were dirty, the rooms need a deep cleaning and safety locks on the windows. One room we stayed in didn’t even have screens on the windows let alone safety locks to protect children — on the fourth floor. I’d like to believe they are short staffed and that is the reason for the unkept state of things but there were often multiple people behind the front desk. We’ve stayed at many different Hilton locations — this was the most expensive and the worst one. The laundry room is dirty and floods when the washing machine is used. So many issues. The people were kind and changed our room when the first room was dirty and again later after our son vomited in the second. We were very thankful for that.
