This location is absolutely amazing. Only open on Sunday’s, houses 40+ food vendors, that cater to every single diet, and any/all the cravings you have (even cravings you didn’t know you had at all). I recommend walking in first, and taking a look at every food stand, before making your choice. It’ll be hard, because everything is going to smell and look great, but I promise you, whichever stand you choose to eat from, you will not be disappointed! I recommend this to anyone who’s visiting the LA area!

Pretty expansive outdoor food market with lots of options. On our visit 90% full with various vendors, food and merchandise. Prices are high but reasonable compared to other food markets like 626 mini market. Also this event has a lot of places to sit and eat with and without shade. Plenty of parking as you park at the Row dtla facility (first 2 hours free) and walk to the market. Definitely recommended for a great weekend activity in downtown .

Great spot to get your foodie fix in this every-Sunday-event that offers FREE parking (2 hours). This place has a ton of street food vendors set up neatly in this little area with other products (jewelry and clothing) in the middle. You can find plenty of food stands that have been featured on various shows scattered around with some real heavy-hitters of the LA street food scene here. You can find everything from soup dumplings, lobster rolls, smoked ribs, spam musubi and so many different kinds of tacos. They even have a section called Ice Cream Alley that doesn't really need an explanation. Plenty of vegan options and the staff and vendors are all very friendly. I was very impressed how approachable the entire event is. We got there right after it started at 10 and it was steady, but by noon it was busy. Wasn't difficult to find parking, wasn't difficult to get in and get settled and it was even easier to start diving into all.the offerings. Im very impressed with how the event is ran and how well it's all set up. If your looking for an eclectic glimpse of what the LA street food scene has to offer, go check this out for sure!

A lot less crowded nowadays. It’s a nice area to walk around and grab some drinks / dessert / finger food. They don’t allow dogs inside though so we just did a quick walk through and didn’t wait in any of the lines for the food.

I really enjoy this place. It makes use of a large space that is not really commercially viable and opens it up to a lot of small businesses to do business. There a lot of great food stalls and small vendors selling their products. There's so much to choose from food-wise, and it's family friendly, while also being a place young adults would want to come and meet up with friends.

I had always wanted to go to Smorgasburg in New York and still haven't gotten the opportunity. When visiting LA, we decided to walk here from Little Tokyo about a mile or two away. It's a pretty cool place with security guards at all the entrances and a parking garage that's very convenient. Be prepared to wait in lines for all of the good food - but the waits were not outrageous. There is definitely a lack of seating. I can't remember the name of the stall I stopped at for food, but they were very nice people from both Cambodia and the Philippines. They offered great beef skewers and corn on the cob with a variety of flavors. There are so many food and drink options to choose from. I do not suggest walking here from anywhere if you are not a local, as the venue is in the middle of quite a questionable neighborhood.

Sadly when I discovered this place it was neat closing so I didn't get to try a bunch of foods. The variety was great though. The lines are so long that it's best to go with friends so each one can stand in a different line. There are also many businesses that sell products. It's very hot but there is shade in the beer garden if you are old enough.

I love this event. I’ll try to piggy back this one after a hike in the Angeles National Forest since I know I want to eat afterward and it’s not a far drive downtown. They have signs that direct you to the parking structure where you get 2 hours free. I often go solo but it’s better to go with others so you can try many different things amongst yourselves. Although I’m not vegan, they have a lot of vegan options that taste good. I’ve had many things here and haven’t had anything I didn’t like! I forget the name but definitely try the pibil nachos from this pink stand and get the super bloom drink at Offshore. Get anything, all of it is good.

Great place to visit on Sunday's. All the food options you have to choose from. Nice atmosphere and a very well set up place.

Had to make a stop here while we were in LA. All of the different types of food were so interesting and great. Even saw Anthony Anderson with a film crew following him around while we were there. It gets very busy so it's best to get there right at 10.

Enjoy this DTLA open air market. Parking right off Alameda in a huge clean parking garage was free and convenient. Lots of food options BBQ, Creole, Korean cuisine, Mexican, Seafood Vegan and plant based options. Merchandise, clothing, artwork and good music flowing throughout the venue. I forgot my wallet but thankfully I was able to use my Apple Pay. Uber Eats is available to scan in a couple of spots to order and pickup at their canopy so you don’t have to wait in line. Open every Sunday only. It’s Free entry.

Amazing place with loads of food choices and interesting stalls. Loads of vegan options, dessert places, different types of cuisine. The atmosphere was great, they played music and the place was busy.

Perfect Sunday adventure in DTLA. Several vegan and vegetarian options including eats and snacks and desserts! Great spot for a group of friends with options for everyone. Was busy but not too busy on a Sunday around 2pm. Probably is busier earlier in the day. Plenty of seating and a huge beer tent area allowing access for everyone so the whole group doesn't need to be 21+. Lots of parking in nearby parking garage. First 2hrs free for parking!

This was such a cool experience! We walked here from then Fashion district and it really felt like a bit of a shady area, but ad soon as we arrived at Smorgasburg it was nice, clean and like a small closed community. The food was nothing but amazing and the vibe was on point!

Great atmosphere. Smaller food festival/flea market, but it's got a little bit of everything you could want. There are vegan options as well for those who are curious.

A little hipster place for a coffee, shopping and dinning. A good place for a little walk and take your date out. And they are dog friendly.

Luv this place/experience! Everything we've tried has been delicious! We have been 2x and are going again this weekend. Only thing is that there is a strong urine/rotting smell throughout. It's DTLA in a parking lot...

Smorgasburg in Downtown LA is a food lover's paradise! The diverse selection of cuisines, from mouthwatering Filipino BBQ to delightful spam musubi and even scrumptious lobster, makes every visit a culinary adventure. The fact that it opens exclusively on Sundays adds an exciting element to the weekend, and it's no surprise that the place gets packed quickly. Despite the crowd, the incredible food options make it all worth it. The only downside is the limited outdoor seating, but the vibrant atmosphere and the chance to indulge in so many delectable dishes more than make up for it. A helpful tip: the free two-hour parking across the street is a bonus, making it convenient for patrons to enjoy their food without the worry of finding parking. Overall, Smorgasburg in Downtown LA is a foodie's dream come true, and I can't wait to return for another delightful Sunday feast!

Great experience with the family tried all kinds of food, only thing is I think some of the vendors over charge for their goods, other than that everything was good

  • 4/5 Alanna Y. 1 year ago on Google
The food options are endless, just like the lines. It is nearly impossible to find a table or seat. We both waited in lines for our respective treats, then I (finally found and) saved seats, but my food got cold by the time they got there. A meal, desert and beer will be around $40 minimum per person. Then there isn’t much to do, unless you’re into spending major $$$ on artisan crafts.

What a fun place! There is a huge variety of food trucks and booths. All are so good! Definitely worth checking out especially on a sunny LA day! Family/kid friendly (no pets though)

Many designer brand fashion stores. When I came here, there was a weekend market with all kinds of delicious food and desserts. The top floor of the parking lot overlooks LA DOWNTOWN.

Cool atmosphere to come and try some good food from small business vendors. There's a lot of different varieties of food. I haven't really tasted anything that has blew my mind away. I'm still trying to see whats the best thing here.

Love this place. Perfect for a day out and to bring friends. We tried out a lot today, and there's so much to taste and discover. Great vendors with food, and also makers.

Smorgasburg was a fun experience. Parking was available via parking garage ($) and side street parking near the entrance (free) if you're lucky. There were sections for desert, drinks, and entrees. Expect to spend a bit ($10-$30) per person if you want a meal and a drink/desert. Atmosphere was great lots of people with many spots to sit down. There were many options to choose from from seafood, fried chicken, boba, ice cream, and much more. Smorgasburg also had a plethora of tiny shops that had trinkets, gifts, clothing, jewelry, and even hot sauce! This place would be great for dates, family fun, and friends. I personally recommend doing a lap around the entire place to check all your options before choosing a place to eat! 5/5

This place is a hidden gem found through a friend. I live in SanDiego was definitely worth the drive they have something for everyone there. Plenty of parking first 2 hours are free. Not only do they have food but there are local small businesses selling as well as cute shops in the huge shopping center. They have clean nice restrooms so you can pretty much spend quiet a bit of time here. I got there early and hour after they opened was able to get everything I came for I recommend sharing so you can try several things because it is really hard to choose. All the vendors were very welcoming, they had music going felt like a big party they have a beer garden. I'll definitely be back have so many more things I still need to try. So if you're free on a Sunday go show them and yourself some love.

I’ve been wanting to get to the smorgasbord for sometime now. It wasn’t as big as I thought, but certainly enough vendors to choose from. I had the opportunity to try to restaurants I had never been to and a specialty ice cream vendor. Overall, it’s easy to get in and out. Plenty of parking and a short distance from the venue. Definitely worth visiting. Also, maybe it’s because of what I chose to eat but everything was expensive! 🥴
