Came here hoping to satisfy my Mexican food cravings but unfortunately, this will be added to my list of lazy, untasty Mexican joints in Los Angeles. I asked for a Gordita de chicharron and was charged $1 more than what the menu has them priced for. Not to mention the chicharron was very tough to chew. Didn’t ask for anything extra/special to be charged the extra$1. Tacos de papa were alright. But for the sake of not wanting to cook, next time me quedo con las Ganas. Very overpriced Mexican food for the quality you get. Hechenle más ganas.

That beast of a torta is 1 step up above their house special La Chingona. Instead leg meat you get asada, chorizo, like 6 pieces of just right cooked bacon, ham, 2 Mexican hot dogs, milanesa, 2 types of cheese, avacado, jalapeños, tomatoes, onion and the bread is toasted and loaded with chipotle mayo. Feeds 2 hungry people. Currently 23 dollars I wanted to go big or go home so I tried it and loved it. I am not a fan of hot dogs but hey just take um out.

Amazingly delicious food and very friendly service. Just wish they let you know in their website that they only take cash. Parking is difficult in this location also. Huge servings if your are starving or sharing. Overall great service. La birria de chivo Omg!! Delicious 😋

Lots of food. Be ready to get full. We had the chingona torta and burrito. Service was good for us. Just don’t like that cash only way of paying.

7/24/22 the place is small with no parking to speak of and CASH ONLY. The servings are large for what they charge. The tortes are packed with everything but leaves you wondering where’s the beef. If you get a bit of beef it has no flavor. The jalapeños really do a trick in adding flavor to the torta. The Buritto does come with plenty of meat but you wish it didn’t as it is tasteless and seems more as it has been boiled. Not worth the $30 for two items. Skip this place and spend your $ at a place that focus on flavor.

Fantastic tortas, great atmosphere. Had the Hawiiana, and it was to die for on top of being a really big sandwich. Lots of meat on their tortas, and they have a good sauce bar too.

These tortas are huge, they easily feed two people. La DF torta was really good. The birria consome was alright. My only takeaway is that they have a real fly problem in there and the items in the salsa bar were not fresh, the radishes and cucumbers looked like they had been there for a while. I would order to go. The dine-in experience was not good.

Food is great, first and foremost. Tortas are huge! Burgers are yummy. Not the most comfortable to sit and eat. It's an order at the window and pick up your own plates type of place and the seating is hard slat wood benches. In my opinion it's best to take home but my fiance and I come here once or twice a week. Come on a Wednesday for their potato taco special! Soooo worth it.

Stopped by for some comfort food and I was not disappointed! The portions are huge, enough for 2 people. We ended up getting the la torta chingona, tacos de papa, the carnitas plate, birria en su jugo, and the carne asada/chorizo fries! Prices are very decent. My only complaint: there's no parking what so ever, unless you park on the side alley thats next to this fondita! Totally worth your trip!

The tortas have good presentation and great customer service. The Cubana Torta was salty and dry. Carne asada torta and tacos were dry, needed more flavor.

Humongous tortas and Insta worthy if that what you are looking for. If it’s not about the unique experience and you want the best torta around, I’m not sure this is the place. I tried the Chingona and it was the size of my head with everything but the kitchen sink in it. Some highlights were the bread, ham, sausage and chorizo. Unfortunately, some of the other items tasted dry, like they sat around a while. I also tried a few tacos de asada and Al pastor and again tasted a little dry. The flavors were there, so I think time of day has a lot to do with it. Salsa bar was nice and the green was the best of three. Lemons, cucumbers, radishes, onions and cilantro was plentiful. I was too full to try some of the other tortas, but heard similar for the milanesa and asada tortas. If I wasn’t far away, I would like to give them another try. I guess we will have to wait and see about the updated rating :)

Not the best experience, besides super expensive... food was really bad. Birria was just hot water with chile disgusting... La birria solo es agua calirnte con chile, lad tortas sin sabor, y carisimo, no recomendable..

It was easy to find parking since it was late night. But if you do find parking next to the building there is an exit which turns in to an alley. The restaurant looks tidy, and I was welcomed. CASH ONLY! But there is an ATM. They do have a Salsa Bar which you can take as you need, and fresh. I tried the Pastor tacos, they were alright. I had their specialty “La torta Chingona” it’s huge! The only reason why I gave this spot 4 stars is the torta was super salty. I figured what was the salty ingredient and it turned out to be the Chorizo. So now I know for my future visit, No chorizo! My wife thought it was ok too. She asked no jalapeños, and she also took the winnies out. Price wise the Torta was about $17.00. I recommend it, Since the Torta, the service, and the Salsa bar were awesome for me, just keep in mind the salt.

Definitely a big hefty torta. Had the chingona. It was huge. Ate half and took half for dinner. It was so savory and full. With some hot sauce and a sprinkle of onions with cilantro man it’s bomb !! Definitely need to try this place. Be ready to eat cause there’s plenty.

I’ve always ordered tortas from here. Tortas are super good and big. Today I decided to get tacos. Not that great. I don’t recommend getting anything besides tortas from here.
