Unfortunately it was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a spa, I saw Mary Ann. She always took me in about 10 minutes later than my appointment time, I had booked three EM tone appointments, my first 2 appointment with Mary Ann took about 20 minutes and it was short and painful. At my last appointment I got lucky enough to see Lee . She took me in right away and my appointment took an hour and was not painful because she applied a gel after every minute and gave me enough time for my body temperature to cool down and get the procedure done. She answered all my questions and was very patient. After three treatments I didn’t see any results. I called the office and I was offered to come back. When I came back I saw Mary Ann again . She knew that I have complained to the office. She was very rude and saying that people come to get this procedure done even if it won’t work.that they just want to do it . She kept talking to me in a conceding way as if I am not capable of understanding. I was very upset and I said can you just please finish my treatment. She got even more mad and started the treatment and was rushing and not giving me breaks to the point that my skin was burning. When I asked her to stop she got mad and said I am going to stop this treatment because it’s not working for both of us ! I can not believe a spa would hire such technician. I ended up asking for Lee ! I am a healthcare provider myself with over 16 years of experience. I can not believe that a professional can act the way she did! It’s a shame that this spa allow someone like her to tarnish their reputation.

I came in for a consultation with Alicia and she was absolutely wonderful with answering all my questions. I love that she was honest unlike some other places that just want to sell as much as possible. Luckily they had an available slot for the same day and my experience with Carolina was great. Im satisfied with the establishment and I recommend this place.

I've been to slate at 2 different locations FOLLOWING GRACE. she is absolutely amazing. She is warm and personable. She really takes her time to explain everything that you want to know, the procedure as well as alternatives. I saw a DIFFERENT injector at the Wayne Slate who was so short, blunt, cold, and abrasive. She didn't listen to what I wanted, told me no instead of explaining, teaching and possibly an alternative. Just NO. Also, this OTHER person didn't use any numbing WHAT SO EVER. Grace, for the exact procedure listened to ME. This is cosmetic. Not medical. Anyway, Grace really is so pleasant. She remembered me after a year and asked about My husband who had cancer at the time of seeing her last, and my children. She pays attention. And she always looks adorable. I really enjoy my time with her. She tells me about new things that have come out, never pressures me to do ANYTHING. and if she doesn't exactly agree with what I'm asking for, she may make a suggestion and I make the decision. The girls at the front desk are always kind and patient. My ALL TIME FAVORITE was Courtney. Grave is a SHINING STAR at BOTH places. I live in Wayne so for me to drive to Paramus wasn't ideal. But for Grace? I love her.

This was my first time seeing Grace for Botox injections and it was great! She explained where I needed treatment and made me feel so comfortable. She spent so much time with me and I can’t wait to see results!

Sicri has been wonderful providing treatments for me! She gives a thorough Explanations of the treatment, and I always have beautiful results. I have seen her for Genesis laser, Laser hair removal, and Hydro facials. I have always had a great experience.

I had such an amazing experience! I received the vivace treatment and couldn’t be happier. It was a very relaxing experience. The technician made me feel at ease and relaxed the entire time. I felt no pain or discomfort. It was just as relaxing as a regular facial if not more so. I would recommend this to anyone. It’s a great noninvasive treatment to help improve collagen, elasticity and the overall texture of the skin. This was amazing and I will definitely come back for all my spa needs !

I had a great experience at the spa today! I received a hydrofacial from Jalicia and she did a wonderful job ! She was so kind and made sure I felt okay throughout the whole service. Definitely recommend to book her !!

I was deceived, they charged me 800 dollars for a procedure for melasma and it did not work, everything is very expensive and the results are not seen

I went to get a hydrofacial at Slate Med Spa in Paramus few days ago and they were able to accommodate me within few hours of the same day I made the call which I loved. The spa was clean, nicely decorated and the team was welcoming. The things I didn’t like is that before starting the treatment the esthetician used a warm towel to open up pores, and that is not enough to prep your skin before a pore cleansing facial. I don’t know if they didn’t have a steamer or she just chose not to use one. During the facial it felt like so many spots were being missed. My skin looked calm after and clean overall but there was still some of build up on my cheeks and when I pointed that out the esthetician told me that’s smth a dermatologist does. I have no acne’s or skin problems. When I went to pay the front desk insisted that I schedule my next appointment on the spot because this is a treatment you should do every four weeks. I understand that they want to lock costumers in but I wasn’t crazy about the experience, could have been better!

BEWARE!! I booked a consultation for one of their services. I was told by the Slate MedSpa consultant I was a perfect fit for the service. After an hour of speaking with someone I was made an appointment for their Wayne, NJ location. After driving 45 minutes to this location for my appointment that I paid in full prior. I reminded the person doing my appointment of my medical issues I have had that I went over in my consultation in Paramus. I was told I was not able to get the procedure done, and someone “overlooked” that I could have a serious complication based on my medical history. To my surprise because during my consultation not only did they tell me I was a perfect fit. I was also told I could get the service that day. This is not okay for a place to take your money then put you medically at risk due to an “overlook”. How could this issue be overlooked when I filled out paperwork prior that listed all of my medical issues? How did both the consultant and the technician miss this issue? There job should be to keep everyone safe not to only close a sale. Please beware of this negligence. If I had not double checked their work I could have had further medical issues. I did receive a refund. I am still deeply uncomfortable with what could have happened if I had just trusted the professionals there.

I was recommended the Paramus location by a coworker. I booked a same day consult as I’ve had lip filler done a couple months ago but wanted more volume and Grace was AMAZING and we went through different products and what would would best for what I was looking for. It’s been 2 weeks now and my lips look great and for the first time ever I had zero bruising afterwards. 10/10 recommend Grace at this location!

Had Double chin injection removal with Raquel and it didn’t work no change or results. Absolutely absurd. Wasted so much money over 1000$ for nothing. No refund. No nothing. Don’t waste your money here go to a reputable doctor!!! Wish I can give 0 stars for this place.

I like my experience at SlateMedSpa. I did laser hair removal with Jalicia and she truly is dedicated, a good listener, patient and understanding. She has made the process easy and it does not hurt me at all. I also consulted with Jalicia for a VI peel and she provided all the information needed, after care and she also listened to my needs for both the laser hair removal and VI peel. I give this place and Jalicia a 10/10!

Grace was great and I felt comfortable and confident in her. She went over the process, made professional recommendations and was amazing. The facility was clean, the staff was friendly, and I would 10/10 recommend!

Worst place ever to do a business. I made my appointment, planned a treatment, and applied for care credit. It was approved and I left with another appointment for my treatment. As soon as I left, something happened in my family. I had to handle that financial situation first and I canceled my appointment. Little that I knew, they charge more than $1200 without providing any treatment. I called them to reverse the process and they refused. I will never trust someone with my health and skin who can cheat people like that.

Nurse injector Nicole was absolutely fabulous! She took the time to explain my procedure thoroughly and had the best personality! She made me feel completely at ease the entire time! My results are amazing & my lips look awesome as well!!! The entire staff was a pleasure to work with especially Raul!! Thank you Rail for all your help tonight!

Slate Med Spa is Amazing! I started with laser hair removal and had incredible results. Then moved onto the cool sculpting and had results I was looking for. Everyone there is super nice and helpful. Especially Lee, who has always gone above and beyond to make me feel comfortable during treatments. I am eager and excited to try other services, which I am sure will be just as great!
