The rooms are too small for 4 people, couch „bed“ very uncomfortable. No sponge or soap in kitchen, no dishwasher taps. Service very basic and not helpful at all. No option for beach or pool towels to use, not even to rent. Bathroom door needs a fix too. Location is the only good thing about this apartment.

The worst hôtel I have ever stayed. - There is no room service what so ever. - The ground floor rooms are actually just in the basement level. - And the sound isolation is really bad. There has been a false fire alarm running for at least 1h at 3 am waking everyone up.(because of a technical problem) And they didn't even bother to apologise as if it's was only a common issue. The room pictures might seems nice but think twice before booking!

Lovely apartment in a great location. Spacious and comfortable and great value. The pool was freezing but would be lovely in the summer months. The beach was a 10 minute walk away and very easy to get into the centre of the city. Also a short walk to Poblenou centre. Excellent location. We arrived late in the evening but received detailed instructions for self check in. Everything was as expected and check in was very easy. Great apartment. Would recommend.

Nice place. Our apartment (with kitchen) was quite big and did fit 5 persons. There are elevators and a rooftop pool (nice views and perfectto cool down on a warm sunny day). Unfortunately opening times of the pool are quite short (cloases at 19:00). There is no room service during your stay. Location is very good if you prefer to stay in the less busy parts of town. Public transport close by.

We were having a really nice stay up until last night. We were woken this morning by an obnoxiously loud party and fighting at 7AM from a neighboring apartment. The fighting was so awful that I had to call the emergency line for security. Nobody arrived to help deescalate the situation. It was very scary and we were terrified to leave our room. I called reception at 1pm and the really lovely lady accommodated a room move for us - we were about to leave completely. We got moved, fair enough, but the apartment we moved to is disgraceful and filthy. There were no other apartments available. I have attached pictures of the hair, dirt, and dirty sheets along with destroyed curtains we came to. We were told after being briefed by reception that noise meant we would lose our deposit and get kicked out. These rules clearly did not apply to these people. The noise continued for a second night. We checked out a day early and was told no refund can be done without supervisor. It took 2 weeks and several emails for someone to contact me back. After several emails back and forth, I was called a liar and had no choice but to accept a 60 euro refund for one night. The worst customer service I ever experienced. Do not stay here.

There is no soundproofing in the hotel. if some neighbors returned at 2 a.m. after a party, while others laugh and scream from 7 a.m., you won’t sleep.

Polite staff rooms were half decent heating was a slight issue rooms were very very cold. Swimming pool only good for the summer as not heated so very cold. All in all good experience. Parking is additional cost approx €22 Euros per night.

The living experience here is gradually declining… and staff is rude. That was a good starting at the very beginning, greeted by a very nice lady and explained everything clearly. The room was in good condition and big with all the facilities. However, there are a few things that we felt the apartment needs massive improvements. 1. Supplies of personal hygiene products We in a group of three are staying for 3 nights. 2 bottles of shampoo and shower gel are barely enough for us. We then asked for one extra shower gel, but the receptionist said we usually provide just 2 for each room. If you need extra, you will be charged… To be honest, as a 4-star apartment which the room price is not that cheap shouldn’t propose this restriction to the tenants. This should be a low cost for the hotel but they can in turn get a better reputation. This is what the management should consider. 2. Handling of trash and rubbish As a 4-star apartment, we didn’t expect to handle our trash on the checkout date. This doesn’t sound to be a very good living experience. 3. Passive aggressive manner from the staff We have stored our luggage on the checkout date. When we tried to get our luggage, there was no one at the reception and there was a sign saying “Back in 5 minutes”. We were in a hurry to the airport and have been waiting for at least 10 minutes that we couldn’t afford to miss the flight by calling twice to the hotline asking for help. Eventually, when the staff came back, he gave us an attitude and indirectly blamed us from disturbing him enjoying his lunch break… We were all shocked by his manner… I understand this is the apartment policy for not having receptionist here 24 hours but this is the problem of the hotel, not us… We asked for the luggage during the official reception hour… In the future, if there is a choice, I won’t choose this accommodation and not recommend to anyone.

Lovely apartment in a good location very near metro and walking distance to the beach, cafes and bars. Clean and modern, with high ceilings and exposed brick.

A bit far from the main attractions, but metro nearby makes it easy to fix.

Extremely noisy, thin walls and echoey. Main door slams shut and echoes throughout, expect sleepless nights. Thin mattresses. Air conditioner didn’t work. Can’t access pool in the evening. Room service dreadful. Harsh but honest, it felt like a motel, not a 4 star aparthotel. Please do not be fooled by the GM’s false statements. After staying for a week, I would never ever go back.

Nice rooms. Good location. Shoddy service. Noisy. The rooms are quite nice. Ours had two nice bathrooms, a small working kitchen with fridge, two burner electric cooktop, microwave and some other useful gadgets. Dishwasher and a washer/dryer if you need to do some laundry. The beds were two single pushed together, perfect for the kids, the couples will have to make do with it. Good location. Close to the beach, beside a few colleges and schools, lots of students on the street. There are few options for markets and restaurants within a 5 min walk. A very negative part of the stay was how noisy it can get. The walls are paper thin and it’s possible to hear everything your neighbours do, every conversation, especially if they are students who like to stay awake until late hours listening to music and chatting (republica is also a Spanish term for student housing). We were unlucky with such neighbours, but it’s not their fault. It’s a flaw in the building’s construction.

We were allocated this place when our flight home was cancelled. The apartment was very cold; exposed brick walls & concrete floors. It felt like we were inside a storage container! I perched on the side of the bed & it moved & squeaked. We immediately returned to front desk & said we didn’t want to stay. The lady on reception was extremely rude & asked why it had taken us so long to come back. We checked in, took the lift to the apartment & was back down at reception in less than 10 minutes (as confirmed on my receipts)! The pictures look ‘artsy’ but I feel are very misleading. Maybe we were allocated a ‘cheaper’ apartment because of the situation but I would definitely not be staying here!
