Beautiful, serene and peaceful temple which my family will always visit once a year. 1 August 2020: My family and I visited the temple and the wooden portion of the temple was burnt down. Fortunately, efforts to rebuilt the wooden temple has started. The newer portion of the temple is still there. 26 December 2020: The old temple is being rebuild. Unfortunately, the large tree beside the washing place was cut down.

Old temple. Tourists should go under the tree where traders sell all kinds of local fruits, fresh coconuts, and various kinds of famous cookies from Johor. The South Temple 南寺is a Mahayana Buddhist temple with a huge structure attached behind. Could be a private centre for meditation practice. Visitors could find out more details from the front desk or the traders under the tree.

Nice place. Went there on a Sunday but found it relatively uncrowded. There used to be stalls selling local biscuits and drinks.

Nice to visit this temple for the first time. It houses some old Buddha images and it is good to revere. Nice for photo ops. In fact there was a wedding photo shoot at the temple today too. It has ample parking spaces. Can come to visit again.

Nice place to visit. Please bring some small notes to donate to the poor elderly. Be compassion and small donation can let elderly to be happy. I think it serves the purpose of your visit. Besides, please help to donate tiles to the temple.

This Chinese temple is very popular, especially attract devotees from Singapore. There are many deities including Goddess of Mercy & Tua Peh Kong. During Chinese New Year period, many stalls are set up on the compound, adding to the festivity mood. You can light up firecrackers too.
