The southernmost point of mainland Asia.. One of national park must visit. Love the layout, Love the nature. Quite good place for hang out with family. The only concern, Where currents carry tons of trash to remote parts of this area.

We went on a breezy Sunday afternoon and thankfully it wasn't crowded. Overall, the experience was wonderful; loved the calming sceneries. Managed to encounter, by chance, some interesting creatures. Entry was RM5/person (adult with Malaysian IC). Plenty of parking spots for visitors. If you love nature or are simply looking for a place to bring kids/families for sightseeing/adventures, come visit this National Park!

Very interesting to see the natural habitat at the mangrove. Worth a visit. Entrance fee is RM20 for foreigners. Couldnt get a grab ride from Kukup, so we took a taxi instead. RM60 to and fro.

Entrance at rm5 for adult & rm3 for school children. Huge parking lot. Need to have good stamina to walk. Prepare sunglasses and hat as it get quite hot. Very entertaining for us. My children spotted lots of mudskippers, crabs and lots of small animals.

Entrance fee for Malaysian adult is RM5. Ample parking and free. Friendly staff and helpful. A must place to visit when come to Pontian. A great place to explore especially for nature lovers.Beautiful scenery and well maintained the mangrove swamp. It is suitable for educational purpose . You can see mangrove creatures like mudskippers, mangrove tree crab and snails. There are certain area are restricted due to maintenance. We went there during high tide around 10.30 am till 2.00 pm. Nice experience.

A place where you can see mangroves in nature. The walkways are on wooden planks. It is wheel chair accessible. Don't expect much for a nice toilet, as the only one is under maintenance. The weather can be very hot under mid-day sun, so carry an umbrella with you.

We took a detour from Kukup to visit this nature park. It was a nice walk through the mangrove swamp. Was an overall enjoyable visit marred by the plastic trash strewn all about the mangrove swamp. The Tanjung Piai fishing pier had also collapsed, and so did the trail into the forest, which was disappointing. What could have been a 3 hour experience was shortened to just 1.5 hour. The park should be better managed. Overall, it’s still worth a visit to enjoy a part of the natural landscape that Johor has to offer.

very tranquil location My family and I genuinely love the the landscape and nature beauty there. Ticket costs are also reasonable. There are numerous little and peculiar species there, especially the Ikan Belacak. Have numerous photos and videos of them

Great experience walking through the mangrove areas where you can see a lot of mudskipper, crab, monkeys, and etc. The whole trek is about 1.6km with multiple pitstops with bench.

The place used to be a great back to nature experience especially for kids and full of wild macaques (monkeys). But its a rundown probably due to Covid-19. Good thing is lesser monkeys roaming and attacking tourists now.

Peaceful place to enjoy the sea breeze and environment. Can see animal such as mudskippers, crabs, monkeys, monitor lizards, sea snails. Only some area are partly shaded hence please put sunblock before you go or prepare for sunburn. RM 5 entrance fee and you need about 2 hours to finish the whole park. Relaxing. Worth a visit.

Pros: A good place to get close to mother nature. Reasonable ticket price (rm5 for adult Malaysian). Cons: Bring along your sunscreen cream and umbrella, super hot and you will walk a long trail without roof. Some corner many rubbish, not maintaining well.

Entrance fee is RM5 for adult (RM10 for non Malaysian). Recommend to go around 4-6pm when it is not hot since you will walk a super long distance (1.5km) until you reach the end. Bring water and umbrella because it is really hot. They will take pictures of you at entrance which they'll turn into souvenir (RM50 for a printed photo and photo magnet). Though, you can't get a certificate anymore so that's a bummer. Overall a nice tourist place.

It was a surprise visit on a rainy day on a Rau Lu weekday. The place is located in Tg Piai and the roads to this reserve forest are in good condition. It takes roughly 2 hours to reach here from JB. The forest is well maintained and kept clean for visitors. The entrance fee for Malaysians is very minimal and the staffs are quite friendly. Certainly worth the visit

It's a National Park of the State of Johor. The unique thing is, Tanjung Piai is the end of the land in Asia. If you really enjoy nature, then you would enjoy this place. Lots of mangrove trees, and depending on the time of the day, you would see the animals too.

Enjoy the charm and beauty of the mangrove forest. Stroll through the forest on the wooden walkway. I forgot how long was the walk. There are conservation efforts by certain groups and authority. Hopefully with awareness comes more action. Keep our ocean clean so that our mangrove forest can flourish.

Tanjung Piai, Taman Negara Johor, the southern tip of Asia continent. This is the best place to visit if you happen to visit Kukup for seafiid lunch. It is only a few kilometer from Kukup. Here where you can explore the mangrove surrounding area that make up of the Tg Piai Tamn Negara. There are wooden walkway a few kilomèter long for visitor to explore the mangrove tree. From here visitor can walk to to jetty to view the mangrove and beach at low tide or high tide where you can see the ship passing through the Straits of Melaka to Port of Tg Pelepas . Visitor can also see Singapore (Tuas) from here, which is only opposite to Tg Piai. Visitor can also walk another 1200 meter to the area where the actual southern tip of the continent - there is monument of globe replica which indicate the exact location of the place (Tanjung Piai). Visitor can take photo here one for the album. And if you happen be here during the high tide the whole of the walkway and the surrounding mangrove area will be flooded & covered with salt water. It will covered up to the parking area. It will be like a water festival. The step up to the walkway will be like waterfall . But this will only happen a few times in year. If you lucky and drop by at the right month/day it is a bonus for you.So don't miss Tanjung Piai if you visit Kukup.

My way to Kukup add a stop by here. The most southern tip of Asia. During CNY period, the rising tide pump into the park so I not even get into the park. It became a special phenomenon here. A lot visitors even visit for this special period. In normal day, may enter to visit mangrove park with RM5/adult. Parking lot available.

I'd suggest starting with sitting and listening to the video briefing, then you can get around. It's so fun there to watch the mudskipper behaviour in the wild.

Stunning Mangroove beach with so beautiful scenery. So many biodiversity you can explore there. The canvas of mangroove area very mesmerizing and capturing the beauty of the place itself. Unlucky enough for me it short time for me to explore the place when weather become gloomy and rain coming after half an hour my family and I started the journey.. the entrance fee is Rm5 for adult,rm for student and kids below 7 years old is free of charge. We will coming back again here for more stunning shoot. Thank you

Nice place to appreciate nature. Wear something nice for pictures! Avoid bringing snacks into the parks as there might be monkeys. They will chase you if you have snacks. If you’re bringing water bottles, keep them in your bag.

Brisk walk here with my lovely gf. The staff here very helpful since my gf is a disable person (oku). They offer wheel chair to her but we decline as we will like to brisk walk. As a KL-ite myself, first time here was very excited as I've already reached and arrived the southernmost tip of mainland Asia. 😍😍😍😍 Very nice place. 10🌟

For a nature lover and don't mind getting hot. It is a very good place. It so quiet that you could hear the birds chirping, could smell the swamp and when you reach the tip point, you could smell the sea breeze.

The most southern tip of Asia. The walking alley is nice for viewing of mangrove trees, where at the same time you can have your exercise here. At entrance they will be taking your pictures and after that you can walk around Fees for local is only RM5, there is no restaurant/cafe inside but if you wanna have a drink it can be purchase from the vending machine.

  • 4/5 Andy T.C C. 3 years ago on Google
Nice mangrove forest with well maintained boardwalks. Was close to midday but still managed to hear some bird calls (kingfisher, eagles, orioles, flowerpeckers, etc) and spot some fiddler crabs, shellfish and a monitor lizzard. The experience would have been better if there was interpretative guides to disseminate information on the national park, flora & fauna and its importance to the ecosystem.

The place is good for viewing. But first don't forget your umbrella! it is hot and open here when you walk on the bridge. absolutely don't forget your umbrella or at least a cap. also bring some cool mineral water as you will be walking around 2km or more on the bridge. there is a vending machine for water if you bring some money or you just lazy yo bring mineral water. But beware! DO NOT LITTER HERE! its a national park, you will be fine if you litter so keep the environment clean. there are two bridge here when I came. the fishing spot is broken when I came but the other 2 bridges good. the straight one can just walk till the end and you will see the direction of Singapore, Indonesia, and Malaysia at the end of the bridge. the other bridge is the end of Asia. many cool picture can be taken here so prepare your camera or phone but be careful not to drop it. if the tides is high, your phone will be gone if you drop it. even low tide are you willing to come down there? The perfect view is when the tide is low, during the morning till 3pm. high tide the view is not that good and it is a bit dangerous. so have fun!

  • 4/5 Hajar Z. 1 year ago on Google
I recently visited this unique place and I learned a lot from the flora and fauna sight seeing and boards of information are everywhere around the park. The mudskipper for me would be its main attraction as the swamp is their habitat and you spot more than hundreds of them everywhere in the mud. However I really wish that the authority can make some fixing over a few broken down platforms that hamper the visitors journey throughout the park.

U know where end of Southeast Asia? Here in pontian, u can drive bout 1 hr from johor bahru. The place u can see scenery for 3 county, malaysia, singapore and indonesia

  • 3/5 Caleb L. 11 months ago on Google
Mangroves are important but attractive places to visit and I think this National Park needs to up its maintenance game to service damage walk ways which hampers movement and repair a damaged section of the trail so paying guest can access it. The 5pm closing time means people cannot access it during the most ideal evening period.

  • 4/5 Nicole C. 10 months ago on Google
A paid to enter park. Priced differently for citizens and non citizen. Malaysians, please bring along your identification card to enjoy the citizen's benefit. A place not to be taken lighly of. Not every country has this tip and Malaysia is lucky to have this. BE PREPARED TO WALK & BRING ALONG UMBRELLA/CAP. It can get quite hot when walking. This national park mainly focuses on the swamp ecosystem and its biodiversity. An educational place for GEOGRAPHY and BIOLOGY lovers. Good place to share with students/family&friends about the ecosystem that is around here. Having 3 different pathways towards 1. The tip of the southern most mainland asia 2. The 3 jetty...u will be at the location of indonesia/singapore&malaysia 3. The fishing jetty Each pathway walk will take a good 20mins walk. As you will be walking on stilts and wooden pathways... please take care of the safety of your own children. Not encourage to run around or make a lot of noise. There is an education/ briefing centre to inform what to see and what to expect.

  • 4/5 Amin H. 2 years ago on Google
An educational trip especially for the kids to learn and to explore about mangrove and wetland inhabitants. This is also the southernmost tip of mainland asia. Would be great if the maintenance such as the public toilet could be well maintained. A must go place..at least once in a lifetime.

  • 4/5 Hussein V. 1 year ago on Google
BEWARE OF MONKEY. There are lots of wild monkeys around the place. If you are with small kids, you can bring a stroller to move round the pathway. You are going to walk quite a distance because the distance to the landmark (southernmost tips) is over 500 meters. Back and forth would be 1km. Bring water with you and wear shoes. Another attraction is the three country border. It is going to be another hundred meters more to walk. That is all... No more things to see.. This is why it is 4 stars for me...

  • 5/5 Solehah Aqilah Md A. 1 year ago on Google
Good. For those who love nature and eco tourism, please allocate more hours here. You will be fall in love with the view. Really recommended. Suitable for pre-wedding photo shoot too.

It is an ideal educational area for you to walk around and educate your kids on natural ecosystem. Hope that local authority can invest a little bit on facility and upgrade the standard. Thought we can see some changes vs past few years but it still can be better to attract tourist

  • 5/5 Trevor K. 1 year ago on Google
Very well kept park. Great day when we visited, could easily see Indonesia and Singapore. The monstrosity that is forest city could also be seen from the southern most tip of Asia's mainland.

It is an amazing place. One of the place you must visit in Malaysia. You can view the Malaysia's neighbors Singapore and Indonesia simultaneously!! It is the southernmost point of mainland Asia. I spend around 3 hours in this place. It closed at 5pm, so plan your time wisely. Remember to walk through every single bridge inside this place or you will miss the "round shape monument" !!

A nice place to visit if you have time. Experience walking through a mangrove forest on the boarded walkways that end in the southernmost tip. Unfortunately the mangrove forest was filled with rubbish - possibly from 3 countries😀 The observation tower was closed during my visit. Better upkeep needed, but still an interesting place to see.

  • 5/5 hanif a. 2 years ago on Google
Surrounded by mangrove forest. This is the southernmost tip of mainland asia.It took me 3rd try to get here finally I made it here. Advise to bring along umbrella not only for raining but also can help against heat from the sun. Worth the trip 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

  • 5/5 naDia X w. 1 year ago on Google
We went here for the Southernmost Tip of Asia. It was weekday, so not so many people. There are very minimal entry fee. Got to know many types of mangrove trees and the ecosystem of the mangrove swamps. The path to the Tip was well maintained and I would say it is wheelchair friendly. Many photo spots, there is observatory tower too. Your visit is not complete if you skip the Jeti Tiga Negara. Basically you can see 3 countries from this Jetty, Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia. Do expect to spend around 3 hours here.
